Super sick truck! I happen to have a '00 Ranger in my garage with a bad 3.0, which I'm thinking about doing a 5.0 swap in over the winter and bagging it. Can you give me some tips on your bagging/frame fabrication? I regrettably had to sell my '70 Pontiac a few months back cause work was slow (see my page), and had it bagged. We had to do a lil bit of fabrication like relocating the front shocks and cutting out of the rear stock spring perches, but overall it wasn't too bad. I want to have the exact same stance as your Ranger on mine, and I happen to have an extra complete air ride kit (4-2600 bags, 2-Viair compressors, tank, valves etc) that I had as a backup for my Pontiac which didn't go with the car, so I'm good on equipment. I'm just lost when it comes to 4 link? and notching etc, as well as placement for the bags in the rear (did you use cups?) etc. Please help! BTW, what is you rim offset? I'd like to do a 22" Smoothie like I had on my Pontiac, but they are only available in a 5x5 bolt pattern. Not sure if I could use adapters and still have the right offset or if there is a hub swap I could get away with. I was seriously considering doing a F100 or C10 to keep my classic thing goin, but you inspired me with your Ranger, and I happen to already own one (you can actually see it in the background of my Pontiac walk around video) . ANY help is appreciated, I'd like to have the truck ready to go next spring. Sorry for the long post.
Thanks Dion, be patient. It takes time. I have a love hate relationship with these minitrucks. They are fun cruise and look at. You 2000 model will need the frame Z'd to lay the front flat. My truck is a 97, so it had I beams your has control arms. This truck has an S10 clip front suspension performed by Klockwork Inc.
Thats bad ass! Got a 95 ranger! Gonna do the same thing!
Randy Farmer this is a 97 model. The 93-97 have i beams for front suspension. Negative Camber!
TORKiT Really?! Nice! How did you suicide the doors? That is a MUST! Slammed first 😉
what size back spacing for 22x11 reverse lip
this was mike householders old truck and was built in Michigan use to have the Lincoln front end
Money Maker Mike. ~AA~ all day.
oh alright i live right by him lol
hey I was wondering if you could tuck 22s a tiny bit on your ranger with a static drop
Absolutely with the correct back spacing on the wheels.
What size rims?
Hunter Gonzalez These are Racelines 20x8.5 in the front and 22x9 in the rear with staggered offsets.
What is a staggered offset??
Hunter Gonzalez It means the rear wheels have a bigger lip or deeper dish than the front wheels.
Ohhh okay yeah that style looks sick
Hunter Gonzalez Thanks man!
