This thing smoke Holosun and everybody else technology wise. Nobody talks about it but the setting adjustments available is outstanding. Adjusting the brightness of both reticles individually while controlling auto brightness strength
"But Holosun is much cheaper" is mostly what i see while reading a few dozen or so comments. I learned years ago why companies such as this one are priced the way they are and why the guys that are actually jumping out Helicopters and such seem to always have them on their guns. The red dots i had some years ago were failing with just regular range use. Imagine needed it to do its job when your life is at stake and its either out of zero somehow or won't turn on. Makes no sense to cut corners on a tool that may need to be used to defend yourself or someone else.
If you were a soldier I would most likely agree however for the weekend warrior imagining the end of society or some other scenarios and on a budget then it makes sense to shop around like any other informed consumer, I have a good friend who has more guns then he could ever realistically shoot but he is a "got to have the latest" kinda guy therefore I expect him to grab this new toy too very soon lol!
I'm going to hold off for a bit before I purchase one of their new optics. Hopefully the price comes down some but it won't bother me much to hold off on a pistol purchase to snatch one up instead. I'm positive that investment will carry over for years.
I wonder if it has the same issues as the SRO as far as overreaching above the ejection port in some firearms and causing jams or getting constantly hit by casings?
I have seen this optic on top of a Wilson combat SFX9 with 3.25 barrel! It overhangs over the ejection port a bit! My question is, will it block or interfere with the ejected shells?? This would be something I would need to know for purchasing both of these items
Probably will not interfere but it ultimately depends on the gun itself. It does not impact my Shadow Systems DR920. The RMR HD is a great red dot sight and is well worth the price point which is well below $850.
I love how everyone is complaining about Sig’s Romeo X Pro being $450, when this is nearly double the price. No thank you! I’ll take two RX Pro’s instead.
Are you going to pull an ACRO, and have them always out of stock 2years after “release”????? If you release them, please have them actually available…..please. (Not just to guntubers)
Dear Trijicon, I do not understand why people find it necessary to put your brand new RMR HD on a gun and try to destroy it. If you want to send me your new optic, reach out to me and I will gladly give your new product a wonderful home and gladly put it to use the way it was designed to be used. The torture test videos that will be coming out are going to drive me nuts.
Until this thing has built in thermal/NV technology, I dont see the reason to drop $850 on this except for consumerism. For that price you could mount a Holosun 407C, and carry a spare slide with another 407C mounted, lol.
@@GirthQuake3 You’re not wrong. Just using that as an example of how ridiculous some of these price points are when you compare them to everything else out there. In reality I spent just over $300 on a Holosun EPS and spent that other $550 on 1000+ rounds of US made 9mm to train with.
