1984 Renault Fuego GTL - walkaround and POV drive

A walkaround and short drive with my Renault Fuego, the French coupé that has ´Eighties´ written all over it. The car´s stylish looks were conceived under direction of Robert Opron, the designer who was also responsible for icons such as the Citroën CX and SM. Unfortunately the Fuego never became a big success, the main reason probably being that it did not drive the way it looked. It was not a sporty car at all, much more a comfortable cruiser, like the Renault 18 that it was heavily based on.
My example is a modest one: a Fuego GTL, with steel wheels under plastic hubcaps and a 1.6-litre version of Renault´s Cléon engine. But the very nice, largely unrestored condition of the car more than makes up for its lack of power and accessories, in my humble opinion.

Hola saludos desde Argentina. Tuve Renault 18 y Fuego. Pero no conocía esa versión de Renault fuego gtl . Qué equipamiento traia ? Y que motor? No lo conozco. Saludos y felicitaciones
