I think Kenny Bednarek might win this 200m race. But if Christian Coleman wins this race, I won’t be surprised.

What's up with Abby Steiner? Is she still injured? She won the 200m last year at the Miramar Invite

Her & Bromell are having a steamy love affair & have run away together. Thats why no one has heard anything about them. Its a big cover up, apparently romance is frowned upon in athletic circles.

Abby ran an indoor Distance Medley & 800m race back on 24/25 Feb, scheduled to open up outdoors in the 400m @Gamecock Invitational this wkend.

@@AllInTheGame01 Hey thx! I'll def. look for her results. Glad to hear she's running again. Her freshman yr as a pro was amazing even though it ended on a down note.

@@EricS-uf9mv Her Freshman yr as a Pro last yr was solid with 6 wins from 13 individual races, but there's room for improvement on the 11.19/22.07 SBs that she ran (about 0.3s slower than her 10.90/21.77 PBs). Looking forward to what she can run in the 100/200/400m this year starting with the 400m this wkend!

@@SPIDERM0OSEBromell is married and Steiner has a boyfriend as far as I know. We haven't heard much of them because they both were injured last season. Bromell also got surgery.

Love Kenny ....but I'll go with Coleman on this day. 19.9's...

I think I might be most excited to see what Kishane Thompson has to show tomorrow. Last year he raced very sparingly in the 100m, but his season opener (albeit in July) was 9.91. He showed so much potential last year on such few performances, each race we get to see from him feels like it has the potential to reveal such a large piece of what he might be capable of.

Kenny B's two 400m races this year have been a little underwhelming (46.00/46.20), would like to see him run faster than his fastest wind-legal 200m opener of 20.06 (1.0). Opened up back in '21 @Miramar with 19.65 (4.0) or roughly 19.85 (0.0), but can't see that happening this year.

I expect Coleman is using the 200 as a strength builder the same as Bednarek was using the 400.
Anything under 20 secs at this stage of the Olympic season would be pretty spectacular, at a low key event.

    • @AllInTheGame01
      @AllInTheGame01 5 месяцев назад +2

@@SPIDERM0OSE Yeah a wind-legal 19.9 would be nice to see from the winner.

I'm not interested in who wins, I'm waiting to see what times these guys (and gals) throw down to open the season. Put up a great time, qualify for the Olympic Trials, then dare everyone else to beat it. See you in late June! 😄

That Miramar track surface is horrible. The red lanes are so oxidized that the spikes don't stick, resulting in way too many slips and falls and torn muscles. Watch and see how much better the runners in the blue lanes do, in general. That track should be replaced!

Coleman doesn't have the strength for 200m; as seen in the last 40m of his 100m races. If Bednarek is healthy, this race will be an easy win for him.

Coleman opens up his season in 19.9-20.0. Kenny us usually in 20.2-3 shape at this time of the season

Coleman ran multiple 19.9 last season and also beat Bednarek last year in his opener.

Actually Christian Coleman is incredibly fast. Even though he does sometimes fade early in races, it doesn't happen all the time.

I was wrong about Coleman winning. But I was right about Kenny always opening up with 20.2-3

u can never discount Coleman, he has one of the best starts in sprints but has always seemed to lose form in the last 20-30m in the 100m, that could be down to strength lacking as u mention he is working on that but i dunno, tbh i was very surprised with his 200m tie with Tebogo but that was then and this is now, i aint seen too many races with Bednarek in other than those u showed so i cant really base an opinion on him
