Loved your labour and birth video! I've had 2 kids and I'm pregnant with my third, I'm 27. My first experience I had an epidural and diamorphine. It was horrendous. That baby was 7 lbs 12 oz. The second time I had no pain meds and it was amazing! That baby was 6 lbs 9 oz. I think pain meds severely impact the body's natural ability to know when to push at the right time and feel all the sensations you need to feel to bond with your baby correctly. God only knows what my third baby will have in store for me! Xx
You are so amazing I'm 13 weeks right now and the baby finally looks human on the ultra sound but I really do watch your videos for guidance. I'm so glad your baby is ok. You're so beautiful and strong. I'm inspired. Thank for the vlogs.
Omg ...im one of the lucky ones. I started my labour at 11 pm . Slept through it and woke up in the morning with contractions that were feeling mild and very little painful. I went to hospital at 9 am and was 6 cm dilated . Had my baby at 11pm after a slow-ish progress,no pain relief what so ever and only pushed for 20 minutes to give birth to my son. Had a first degree tear from pushing to hard 'apparently '. I'm left with a fatter belly but no stretch marks and I have a wonderful 2 year old boy . I'm now 4 weeks pregnant with number 2 at 39 years old . Life is definitely so unpredictable
You did so so well! Congratulations shes beautiful. Would love to see a video on what you actually used from your hospital bag and if there was something you didnt pack that you needed. Thank u xx

It depends per person how well the epidural works and also sometimes even how the doctor puts it in. I did not feel anything except a bit of pressure in my back where I had most of my contractions. I absolutely loved it!! (I already had contractions for 20 hours at that point so it was a relief for me)
I am watching this 32 wks pregnant and thinking wow u are amazing!!!!!! Congrats!! Thank you for sharing your story. Sorry you went thru so much pain :( but happy you and baby are well and healthy!
Loving your channel! I think this’ll make you feel better: my mom’s first baby was about the same size as your daughter, and she pushed for three hours. Her second baby was about a pound lighter and came out in like three pushes. So if you’re planning on having more kids, the path has been paved well, so hopefully you’ll have an easier time next time!
i will be give birth anytime now. and love to watch your videos since the first time you found out you were pregnant and wow you’re so strong! love you
You are so funny. Thanks for sharing. I'm due in Feb. and trying to get a better idea of what labor is going to be like. Good or bad. It's good to hear the negatives to have some mental preparation.
I also started using a shield to feed my baby because he was having trouble eating. Are you going to try to wean her off of the shield? I’ve been trying to do that and it’s been a little difficult.
Right! Like is my body not responding correctly to it or what? Because so many people talk about how they felt NOTHING at all, they were able to go to sleep, all these things. And I'm here like dafuq did you people get...cause I didn't get anything close to that!
@@mtt4254 if they don't place the epidural juuuuuuust precisely in your back it's like this. I just don't think the anesthesiologists want to admit they didn't do it properly and nobody wants to ever redo it.
Fina Armania hit the nail on the head. My last birth was a c section and the student anaesthetist missed 3 times and they kept me waiting until the head anaesthetist came in and he got it in straight away. I had nerve damage almost immediately following recovery, they didn’t inform me or write this down though and luckily my partner was watching them the entire time.
I have never heard someone say that besides me, my mom, and other women in my family! Although I didn’t feel any relief with the contractions either. :/ I’m pregnant with my second and I’m due for a c section this time around, I’m kind of worried that the spinal they give won’t work either...if not, they better put my ass out quick!!! Lol
I had 3 epidurals and none worked felt everything! Had a long labor and had a 3rd degree tear 😣only good thing was that I pushed max 30 minutes and she was out but I can still feel everything 😫 specially when my 9.2 lb baby tore me . I look at her now and I don’t regret anything ❤️
Your so awesome!! Thanks for sharing everything. It's nice to see and hear the confidence of a postpartum mumma!! I'm only on my 2nd week post it's like I'm 6 months preggo still lol but I'm not ashamed or stressed about my bump. So happy to have my little one it's so worth the change!! Thanks for sharing your journey!! ❤
I pushed 3 times. My baby’s head came out the second push, her body & placenta came out the third push. The labor was quick as hell & as smooth as could be BUT then I started hemorrhaging for 4 hours after that, lost 2 pints of blood & had to have a blood transfusion. They had to do a uterine sweep, & man oh man the PAIN I felt.... birth is absolutely crazy.
I saw a video of a woman getting the uterine sweep and omggggg- it seemed 10x more painful than pushing the baby out. They were in there scraping away, i could feel the pain through the screen. You are a strong mama!
I had my first baby about 6 months ago and she ended up tearing me from one hole to the other. Your description of it feeling like a lot paper cuts is so accurate.
You both look absolutely adorable rest and heal well 💋If everything works as planed I will give birth in October I m scared but excited and will be absolutely relieved to push my girl out cuz it’s getting really tough recently again.
Omg that sucks so bad about the epidural! Mine was totally numb thank Jesus. Though it wore off and I could feel the pulling and discomfort of the stitches being done afterwards. I kept saying “IS IT OVER YET?!” 😂 also that cardigan looks awesome on you
Your story is so similar to my mom's with me! She was (is lol) 5'4" and weight 110 lbs pre-baby. I came out weighing 10lbs 2oz and the epidural did very little for her; she said that, by the end of it, she was frozen up to her armpits (I guess 30 years ago, they administered epidural meds a little differently), but could still feel a ton of pressure and was still in quite a bit of pain. Glad you and Arrow are doing well :)
I was induced at 41 weeks as well and got the epidural and felt nothing, they gave me a button to push for more drugs. You’re amazing girl I can’t imagine having such a big baby with being able to feel it
My first labour was identical to yours, pushed for hours, had an epidural but you can still feel a lot. I could feel the babies head down their for an hour. I was quite shocked and scared after i had my first but then went on to have 3 more and it was so different, the births were so much easier and so less scary. I didnt need any pain relief on the others as the labours were so much shorter. I have a low pain tolerance.
Thank you so much for sharing! Not everything goes smoothly like we think it will but at least you girls are healthy and doing well 🙏 Congrats and enjoy every single second!
She’s so gorgeous just like her Mama bear 💗🐻. Great job Brittany / thats a long time pushing! Wow! She was a big baby! God Blessed you l! Your pretty amazing and so is Arrow 👶🏼
Hello from Norway ❤️. This was refreshing.. I have watched so many youtuber births now, where the moms to be are curling their hair and put on makeup, and like you said.. sneeze out a 6 pound baby with an epidural, and goes home the same day😂 bless them🙏 Your story was almost exactly like my 1. one... So painful. And long . .24 hours hard work.. but it started at midnight, so 24 hours on top of a full day, I was pretty tired.. pumped... I only got laughing gas.. felt the need to push so so early, at 8cm.. I couldn't hold it back..so I just pushed.. I ripped a tonn, needed a surgeon to somewhat make me look normal again down there. . lost 1,2 liters of blood.. and my baby was the same size as your baby, almost exactly the same . But he was perfect when he finally arrived 🙏❤️ Watching your birth vlog now.. And I hold my breath with you when you push.. you where a champ mama!💪 My next 2 babies where even bigger, so please hear me, c -section really is a big... huge blessing for me, nowhere near as painful as vaginal birth, and so much easier recovery.. so I can really recommend that in the future, if you feel your next one also is big.❤️. my biggest was 10 pounds 5 onzes.. I'm 5,4 feet.. my doctors though she would be 12 pounds, 2 ounces! Luckily they where a bit wrong. 😂 Congratulations with a perfect "little" baby! That's my kind of normal size... You did awesome! Love from Marte in Norway 🇸🇯
Omg girl I finally had my baby too! I was 42 weeks and 1 day when she finally came out. A whole 10lbs! I was in labor contracting for 30 hours and pushing for 2. You made me super thankful that my epidural worked lol sorry to hear yours didn't, you're a warrior! 💪🏽
Oh my goodness, this is my first time on your channel but we seriously had the same birth. My son was a week late, took 5 hours of pushing, and he was a surprise 9lb 12oz! Our second is due in December and I’m terrified of how big he’ll be 😭 Congrats mama, we deserve special medals for giant babies!
You look👀 AMAZING!!!! Motherhood suits you. I enjoy your vlogs. You are HILARIOUS 🤣. Blessed be your Baby. But seriously. You are hilarious. LOVE ❤️ watching you.
That's interesting about the epidural. I've had 2 babies and both times, my epidural worked almost...too well. Lol like I couldn't lift my legs at all because they were numb. Lol I could feel nothing. Couldn't even feel when to push, I had to watch the monitor to see when the contractions were to push. Haha crazy how it effects people differently!
Yay, so glad to see you upload. You look beautiful and radiant mama. Just want to say again I loved your birth vlog. It was the definition of real and raw
I don’t know if this helps but I was able to wean my daughter off the shield! I had to learn to basically sandwich my nipple better and latch her on correctly. We are now almost a year exclusively breastfeeding at this point
@dalissa delatorre Hey just curious how long it took you to ween off the shield? My baby can’t latch without the shield. Partly due to my breast shape and also hes uncoordinated (thats what the doc says anyway)

You are a FREAKIN ROCKSTAR!!!!!!!!! SERIOUSLY!!!
Just started watching...I'm 21 weeks. You're so lovely!!
agh congrats! been following you for so long. I'm about to be 27 and planning to have a baby by 30! cant wait for the post pardam
I got the epidural too & I could feel everything !! The only thing it helped with was the contractions
Thank you for sharing! Congratulations!!
Exactly same thing happens with me ,an my labour was too long an my baby came out at 2 push bt being a mother is blessings😍
I had my first baby about 6 months ago and she ended up tearing me from one hole to the other. Your description of it feeling like a lot paper cuts is so accurate.
i literally “AWED” when u said her name was Arrow :,) SUCH a cute name
You both look absolutely adorable rest and heal well 💋If everything works as planed I will give birth in October I m scared but excited and will be absolutely relieved to push my girl out cuz it’s getting really tough recently again.
Girl you are strong and congrats on your babygirl!!!
Omg that sucks so bad about the epidural! Mine was totally numb thank Jesus. Though it wore off and I could feel the pulling and discomfort of the stitches being done afterwards. I kept saying “IS IT OVER YET?!” 😂 also that cardigan looks awesome on you
Congratulations! I am small too and my daughter was 10lbs 3! That was a shock!
Wow same with me with the epidural! I felt everything!! Just had my girl on 6/5- she was 8 lb 5 oz!
Most people dont know but a first time mom with a low risk pregnancy will likely go into spontaneous labour at 41+1-41+3.
I’m so happy Arrow and you are healthy. You two are so strong and beautiful
Maybe it is true... Beautiful people make beautiful babies❤Welcome to the world Arrow!
You were such a champ threw the whole birth! You did amazing! Especially considering you have a giant baby lol!
Sei simpaticissima ... limpida vera ! E sicuramente una bravissima mamma ... viva le mamma ! 💓🤝💋
Yay, so glad to see you upload. You look beautiful and radiant mama. Just want to say again I loved your birth vlog. It was the definition of real and raw
Baby CLEARLY loved your womb!! Congrats!!
So interesting about your epidural. I couldn’t feel ANYTHING after mine lol.
I've followed you since forever! I'm so happy for you!
I don’t know if this helps but I was able to wean my daughter off the shield! I had to learn to basically sandwich my nipple better and latch her on correctly. We are now almost a year exclusively breastfeeding at this point
@dalissa delatorre
Hey just curious how long it took you to ween off the shield? My baby can’t latch without the shield. Partly due to my breast shape and also hes uncoordinated (thats what the doc says anyway)
congrats again! you are really glowing as a new mum! ❣️
