Best activation line from Cloud for Ascension is “Let’s Dance Asshole” the way he says it makes me smile
Same. I smile every time I hear him say it

I swear, he always said "nothing personal" whenever I used ascension all the way until the final chapter.
And then finally, in the last chapter when you fight Sephiroth, he said "let's dance, asshole" and I thought it was a character specific line for him. Made me pause and laugh for a good minute straight.

my favorite is Cross-Slash's "You're outta luck"
and it's so fitting cause so many of the enemies later on are assholes. He even called Sephiroth an asshole!
As someone who's only experience with FF7 is osmosis, I'm so glad that Tifa still summons the dolphin

What would really suck is when you transform you really can't control him and it's permanent until the fights over so he can't use items going to have to have a really good setup for Vincent

first off I hope they dont return that summon it only worked because we could spam it...now once per fight wont cut it..but it would be nice to see the graphics lol but utility wise doubtful

@@teyvatvillager136 Most likely they will in part 3 if they do a timeskip to the advent children scenario. I dont see them not doing it. AC made alot of money and getting to play it will be amazing

I can't wait to see Aerith's "Great Gospel". Although seeing the plot and the symbolism, it's very likely that the Great Gospel will have an important role in the Remake.

Dunno why but the Japanese version actually kept the name as Climhazzard. Same with Japanese version of Blade Beam (破晄擊)

They made Braver an ability, Blade Burst=Blade beam, Climhazzard is part of the Ascencion limit, that only leaves Meteorain, Finishing Touch and Omnislash from the original for the sequels.
They are definitely going to have to add more variations and create more limit breaks because the rate of how the game is so huge it's probably going to take 5 or 6 parts to complete the full story depending on how much game the PS5 can fit on discs.
Really liking how the Level 2 Limit Breaks are reimaginings of previous Level 3+ limits. Ascension is a combo with a Climhazzard finisher; Catastrophe is the same as his OG final Limit Break; Dolphin Flurry has the Somersault, Waterkick (Level 2 Limit Break in the original) and the Dolphin Blow worked into the combo (too bad we don’t get to see her suplex things in this game); and Planet’s Protection is the same as it ever was.
Barrett's catastrophe is not satellite beam it's Barrett's Final Limit from FF7 called catastrophe please get fix that.

I can't wait to see Yuffie move set, hope she's as nimble as Tifa and uses all of her ninjutsus and if she inherits some of her moves from Kingdom Hearts I'm gonna flip.
finished the game and didn't even know there were other limit breaks other than the 1st lvl ones. I unlocked the other one for Cloud and had no idea how to use it so I just forgot abt it
I missed Aerith's level 2. Oof. I'm glad I made a separate save, because it doesn't look like I'll be able to go back to get it for her with how linear the Migdar section of the game is.
You can access it again through. Chapter select. There are sti hard bosses remaining after you end the game.
Yup, just like Jerico Paulo Jacinto said. After you beat the game for the first time, you gain access to the Chapter Select feature, allowing you to go back to previous chapters and pick up what you missed.

@@mun-samatheartist Who's to say if there's going to be more levels of Limit Breaks in the expansions of this remake? Based on currently known info, it doesn't seem that way because Catastrophe got downgraded to Level 2 from Level 4. Each character might only have two levels of Limit Breaks, maybe a third if something gets updated towards the end of the expansions so they can keep Omnislash as a Limit Break, though what could they do to replace Catastrophe as Barret's final limit is anyone's guess.

I mean, AngerMax looks just like his regular shooting animation. Just slap on Deadly Dodge Materia to do it. Grenade Launcher looks just like his Overcharge ability. Mindblow might not even work in this game since enemies might not have MP bars. Satellite Beam, Hammer Arm, and Catastrophe were probably his only unique ones left.
I'm mildly disappointed we only get the 4 characters this game. But I still love it over all!
Even worse, only 3 characters can be in battle

Better this way their not worn out and leaves more for episode 2
@Scream In the original, Cait Sith isn't even known to exist until the group gets to Gold Saucer and heads to the arcade. Cloud, Barret, Tifa, and Aerith are the four that are playable through most of beginning of the game, until you reach Hojo's Lab near the tail end of Midgar.
Alot of youtubers miss those level 2 limit breaks.
I finished the game, I didn't even know there were more limit breaks and summons...

if Omnislash is available to unlock in FF7 Remake part 2(Rebirth) and Advent Children is getting considered for the game then I can imagine what Cloud would say in the scenario of fighting Sephiroth. "Stay where you belong in my memories." with Sephiroth's holographic clone saying "I will never be a memory." before disappearing. and in the eventual part 3 whatever it ends up having as an added title Cloud ends up having the option of learning the Omnislash he used in Advent Children so it can be used on the final boss version of Sephiroth from the OG game.
Found out about this after beating the game. Atleast i got hard mode, the last summon boss and the hard mode only boss battle to use these.
I find it funny that Barret level two limit break is his final limit in the original ff7. I wonder what his final one will be?
What are Barret's other limits going to be now that they used his final limit, everyone else got a limit that wasn't there final limit.

They relegated Braver to an ability but Climhazzard got a sweet upgrade at least. Tifa's unique limit break system is gone, but her individual limit breaks got upgrades too. Has it been confirmed that hyper (fury status) is in the game?
Tifa's roulette was crap. And we get to use braver more often
@@Bcap222 ugh I hated that roulette crap. Definitely was more suited for the original game. This battle system is pretty intense as is, I would not want to deal with roulette here.

@@Neezy2 I think fusion sword was there in ff7, not sure about the attack though. Honestly that is a badass weapon
Rohan Manuel Kurian nah, he doesn’t get the fusion sword until after the events of FF7, in AC and in Dissidia FF if that counts lol. But yea it is a dope weapon tho
Their's the possibility that omnislash could be a regular ATB attack as were alot of other limitbreak attacks. Maybe meteora could be the final limit break, you never know.

There is another limit break for aerith called refocus i no its a materia but it is classed as a limit break if you set it to her just a heads up thanks

No idea if the actual levels will carry over, but progress will have to since the next chapter will continue on.
max level is 50 for the remake
Maybe lvl 75 max part 2 and 99 in part 3

Cloud wont get Omnislash until part 2 or part 3. He doesn't get it in the original until late in the game that's why he doesn't have it now this is only part 1 of 3 in the remake trilogy

Have you all been living under a rock, this is a multipart game, why would they put cloud's ultimate most flashy limitbreak in the first part of the game lol. I really like Dolphin Flurry. Tifa's so flexible hmm
Question? How come i was able to use cloud's 2 limiit break during the boss fight after barret fights his friend in the desert but now after that i cant use clouds 2 limit break only the first one ??

I guess I can't be too shocked to spoiling the possibility that Red XIII wasn't going to be playable... Then again, he does join the party fairly late when you leave Midgar (and if the Remake ends there, it probably seems like they would hold off on giving him anything until Part 2).
He's a guest character. He fights, he has a moveset - he just isn't playable.

It’s probably just cause square plans to give them different limit breaks in the later parts, and just wanted to show off what they could do with the more iconic late game ones

looks like they simplified Tifa's Limit Breaks by getting rid of the slots while also spicing up how Dolphin Blow looks by making it Dolphin Flurry..there is also no Beat Rush which is her base Level 1 Limit in the original FF7 on the PS..there is no Braver for Cloud and Barret's Level 2 in this game is his level 4 final Limit Break in the original game on PS..this is gonna be interesting to see what they do with Limit Breaks going forward in the second installment..I wager the second game will either be late next year or early 2022 if they are working on it..maybe pushed back a little due to the Covid-19 situation if they don't work from home.
they put some original lv1 Limit break as normal skills in game, Braver is one. I think this decision was make because limit 1 is a pretty simple to make a flashy move
@@giovanezz Yeah that makes sense, especially with something like Beat Rush which is just a punch combo. I do wonder if they will be making other new limit breaks..especially in Barret's case since as mentioned his original Level 4 is now a Level 2..jeez..can you imagine what his Level 4 is gonna look like when we finally get to see it? ESPECIALLY since it's likely that the final game will be released on PS5.
There's an ability what used to be a limit from Barret. Can't remember it's name but it's the one when he shoots a barrage of bullets for a few seconds
@@Bcap222 Only Limit I can find that fits that kind of description is Angermax which was his second Level 3 Limit that you got for using Satellite 6 times. It fires 18 shots at random enemies for half damage...yeah if they are taking the simpler Limit Breaks and turning them into beefed up moves/skills/whatever they are called, then they HAVE to make new flashy looking Limit Breaks that make use of the updated hardware and graphics they got available now..on PS1 Catastrophe looked pretty cools..on PS4 it works for a Level 2 Limit..they gonna have to pull out all the stops for when we finally get to where we can get Level 3 and 4 Limits..we don't even know if it's just 4 Limit Breaks per character or if they are broken into having 2 per level except in the case of Level 4..going by game one right now I kinda doubt it and it looks like we just get 4 Limit Breaks..unless there's something I'm missing cause I don't wanna spoil myself TOO much for when I finally get my hands on it.

Hey, can someone help me? After finishing Aerith vs. Wild Animals, I didn’t get her limit break but rather scripture? I did this after finishing my first playthrough and selected chapter 9. Why I did I failed to unlock Aerith’s? 😭😭😭😭

I’ve never played a final fantasy game. Can anyone tell me how many hours this game has and if there’s any replay options like game+
It's like 30-40 hours. Less than the average FF but you got hard mode after that.
Its about 28-30 ish hours and yes you get a ng+ via chapter select aswell as hard mode where some boss movesets are altered etc.

Spoiler! During the eligor fight, did “omnislash” pop up where it usually says Punisher/operator mode? I was using tifa when it appeared in cutscene and switching to cloud made it disappear

I would call Ascension Climhazzard tbh if I were the devs.
ascension looks like a combo that ends with Climbhazzard, still agree with you though. especially since barret also has a limit break (fire in the hole) that could have easily been called by its old name that being ether big shot or grenade blow.
Dunno why, but they changed the english names. Ascension IS Climhazzard and Fire in the Hole IS Grenade Bomb

I got it before going into corneos and there was no prompt after winning the battle in the colosseum for an Aerith vs _____ . Im in the train graveyard and i know what's going to unfold, but is it too late to get Aeriths 2nd LB?

Yes, since you can't play as Aerith in Ch. 14 when you go back to Wall Market. Only chapter 9

i don't understand something , i just got the item which teaches Cloud Ascension but it is not listed as a limit break i can use...do i need to use the item or what? cannot seem to find it as a useable item

to make aerith battles you need to go on chapter 9 after beat the hell house you talk to the guy who ask you if you are ready and you come back to the elevator. the rest of the battles you can do that in chapter 14
I know it's Final Fantasy 7 and all but what's the point of limit breaks when they put some of them into abilities and they give Barrett catastrophe so early that's his final limit break it might as well just make it a normal ability

Go to the right before you head down to the bottom to.fight the big boss. don't leave the area yet there's a staircase that leads u to the fan

You can get them all in normal/easy. The only things locked to hard mode are archives (IV - XIII) that give more weapon SP
