I think this is the most beautiful park in America. The immersive theme carries through the entire park and is honestly quite timeless. Islands of Adventure is close, but I give an edge to Silver Dollar City.
I like to imagine that the 4 have an interconnected theme: You are a Time Traveller, there are some Outlaws that are on the Run. The reason being that they had Powder Kegs that caused a Wildfire.
I had the privilege of working at this park over the past year and as a coaster fan before working there I can say I shared all the opinions you have. Working there I feel has only further supported it’s claim. It’s treats employees extremely well and even though it’s a massive park everyone really starts to get to know everyone and it feels like the small town community it claims to be. Really one of the most special parks in the country!
I love Silver Dollar City and Branson, MO in general. So many cool and fun things to do there. I have so many great childhood memories as someone who grew up in NW Arkansas less than 2 hours from Branson...it was a hot spot for my family to go on a week long vacation to a couple times a year. We'd also go up just for a random Saturday of fun and Silver Dollar City was usually the place my siblings and I would pick to spend the day at....(sometimes White Water would win depending on how hot it was.) I rode Wildfire way too many times to count the year it opened up when I was 11. I'd get off it and get right back in line, lol.
Definitely going this year, SDS is easily starting to gain a rep as the great park that no one really knows about except for locals and coaster enthusiasts.
It’s cool to see people’s reviews when they visit for the first time. And to just laugh at all the things they missed. This is my home park so I’ve done it all and there is an enormous amount of activities here and I’ve gone to this park at least over 150 times.
I live in Springfield and have been to SDC many many times, I love it and it’s amazing. They light the whole park up for Christmas and it’s really beautiful. The rides are only half the fun, if you go you’ll love the atmosphere.
Wildfire. So smooth. I put off riding it for so long thinking it would be scary but it really isn't. That said I do always need a moment to recoup afterwards
For those wondering what the train incident was (JULY 2023 UPDATE): BASICALLY in October 2022, just after the bandit scene, (midway through the ride the train is stopped and two bandits try to rob the train) train cart three fell over onto its right side. This happened due to a few things, but to summarize, the front wheels of cart three went off the track by under two inches, resulting in carts 2 and 3 to detach. A few screws were loose, the track was slightly uneven, just slight things like that. 7 people were mildly injured. Since then, the safety measures have been updated and the track has been redone in that part and closely inspected. The train has since opened back up.
@@LN-Lifer 1: when I made this we didn't know it was because of the operator 2: injuries was abit extreme but again when I made this we didn't know the extent of the "injuries"
Silver Dollar City has so much going for it. Great atmosphere, lots of things to do and see, and of course, the rides are stellar. Just rode Powder Keg for the first time today and loved every bit of it!
when you are broken and he has left you do not question whether you were enough the problem was you were so enough he was not able to carry it Rupi Kaur,
There were no major injuries for the train at SDC. In fact after a thorough investigation they've determined they don't know what happened however it has been agreed the park followed every safety precaution required.
I’ve been waiting for this video ever since the end of wood coasters and it has come out. Im always happy when I see a video of yours in my recommended, you and attraction ideas
I grew up at cedar point, grew up in the area and love CP!!! Loved your last video! Never heard of this park but I love the video and hope to visit more parks
Just got back from SDC. Marvel cave is over 500 feet deep. The newest ride is the the revamped "Fire in Hole." The oldest ride in the park is the train taking you out of Marvel Cave at 4.5mph. My brother earns 6 figures as a software engineer, and would drive over 4 hours to work at a SDC concession stand for one weekend a month, because he loved it so much. When he got married, his wife made him quit. The pay was minimum wage, but the benefits throughout Branson were amazing, and SDC treats their employees like family.
You did a great job with reviewing this park! I’ve been to Dollywood and after that trip I really want to go there. You should do another review on IOA. That would be a banger video.

I live in STL so this is kinda my second home park and I love it so much, I go at least once or twice a year one year I went three times and I don't really have the budget to go on vacations every seconds so thats a lot for me
I visited both Silver Dollar City and Dollywood this year. I actually visited Dollywood for the first time last weekend. Both these parks are great and I can’t wait to go back to both of them
so basically I went on with my friend to wildfire and I passed out… three times and for the big drop in the beginning (it was my first time going to a theme park) it was basically only like a minute for a ride of waiting 30 minutes I kinda died at the end but I loved it (also don’t go to the thunder ball or whatever it’s called it’s a waist of time to go on there’s only like one good drop but it’s only 10 feet off the ground and it’s the 5 year old version of el toro)
i had like 10 panic attacks (not cause of anything the park did) and i still had a great time and would visit again. on top of that, the workers were great and helped calm me down. totally a great park
Dollywood is my home park, so I'm very spoiled in that regard. Hoping/planning on finally getting to SDC in a month or so when I take my vacation 🙏 Can't wait to see how the 2 compare/contrast.

My home park! You definitely have to walk up and down that hill on Hugo's Hill St. A LOT to get back and forth between literally any ride over to Time Traveler and Thunderation as they are almost at the very front of the park on top of the hill. Also Time Traveler can be really intense in the back car, especially on the drop and the switchback hill right after the loop. If you're lucky enough to face the outer part of the track looking at Thunderation on the switchback you get absolutely THROWN into the lap bar
SDC is my second favorite park behind Knotts but I can admit it’s objectively the best park I have been to. Knotts is just ahead for sentimental value.
I love how your videos feel like the odd ones out but with roller coasters great job. And I hope that you recover from whatever the heck you did we’re just gonna assume you marathon to some thing a little bit too hard and blew a blood vessel😂
I just went to sdc this year and firemans landing is now called the fire district which I think is a lil more fitting but my mom said that wooden coaster weren’t as scary as real coasters so I got on outlaw run thinking it was a baby coaster and then I got dropped and thrown around like a rag unexpectedly, definitely the best way to have gotten me tk ride that coaster😭
when you switch track on powder keg that track is actually old track from the former attraction, buzz saw falls, which was a liquid coaster which closed due to inferred cameras always breaking down so they asked S&S to remake the ride, they remade the ride and kept that turn and the chainlift from buzzsaw falls I know all this crap because SDC is my home park, literally 1 hour away from it.
It's interesting you say time traveler isn't aggressive because having only done ride to happiness, that thing is aggressive. A lot of ejector. It's my no.1 though so would like to compare one day

One comment I have about their theaming: what if the outlaws actually are the good guys, stealing from merchants who wronged them and upstaging them with a machine so epic no one would get in their way again? That said I was very much a "coasters&caves" minded gal when I went to the park, and on that note I'd say those are 2 awesome reasons to go to SDC.
