Not sure if you remember old school Roy Rogers. They used to serve a Double R-Bar Burger. It was a hamburger with ham and bbq sauce. Man o man, St Marks Place has changed so much. Looks like Times Square with all them chain stores. Sad indeed.
Maybe it's just me, but just to sit there in front of someone's business looking for handouts to me is like harassment. They look like they can hold some type of job position.
At one time, you couldn't do that in front of a business and the bums in the street were related to the Bowery. Now, there are no repercussions anymore and these dirtbags sit where they please looking for handouts to get high because they are too lazy to work. Good country America.

Hey Chris I was watching the movie Boomerang last night and noticed that you look just like the guy that worked in the clothing store that told Eddie Murphy they didn't have a lay away plan and they didn't keep cash in the store.😂 I just thought I'd mention that and Happy late Fathers Day. I wish hog dogs and sausage links were a hit in Arizona as they are in New York, Chicago, and New Jersey. Chris is the hot dog king as David Portnoy is to pizza. I love watching you both. 🌭 🍕 😋
If you ever visit London you have to try Pie & Mash with liquor, It's a Parsley based gravy. It's an East London Staple. The best Pie & Mash in my opinion is M.Manze. I know it's completely different from NY Hot dogs but it's a must try if you ever visit London. The traditional way to eat it is with a fork and spoon (No Knife) and always flip the pie over so the liquor (Gravy) soaks into the crust. You also have Chilli Vinegar which is a must! (Don't worry it's not too spicy) Hope this helps, keep up the great work!
I always get a burger without cheese. Classic hamburger. Nobody eats’em like that anymore. I like a little lettuce, onion and tomato. A little ketchup to. The combination that started it all. It’s all about the beef.
Now, that was some solid eating and just for $20 sounds great (considering prices in NY). That place reminds me of the 80s so much. And the guy seems very good person. The only downside are the young people outside, for which life is what? Drugs and Communism? Doesn't sound like a bright future ahead.... NYC definitely needs a change.

Times are always "ruff" when you're a gutter punk. Paul's is good. It's kind of a relic of the 80s and 90s I think. Those were the days of those massive messy burgers. Just max out the capacity of the bun by any means necessary. (Kind of like the boob jobs from the 80s and 90s) Not as many people eating that way in NYC these days. They should really reduce their portions and improve the quality and it would be more profitable for them too. But their solution is to introduce an even more ridiculous burger.

Great burger joint, local to my neighborhood. Great cheese steaks too! I never considered Paul's to be Gothic.
Saw a couple of waiters in Gothic clothing, thats why I assumed. But its just a sports/hangout burger joint. Very cool spot.
