Great video! I just picked up the 92x compact yesterday, as a woman with not great hand strength, I was surprised I could rack this with no issues and it fits my hand very well. I think for any women out there new to gun ownership, this is an option worth looking at if your worried about handling it.

@Mia Lynn okay well I disagree. I thi m the modern 1911s are more advanced than ever before and they're the best hammer fired. That being said, thus has its own advantages in terms of the g model conversion capability, combined with nit having a Backstrap safety like 1911s, and the top slide design. For these reasons I think it's better, but the 1911 still the best hammer fired tbh. 2 world wars bro, best stock triggers in the game, .45acp, you can't beat it. That being said, it's hard to say one really is better than another just because they both have advantages in their own ways. So at this point it depends on what you're looking for
@@TheAnnoyingBoss Well I totally agree that the 1911 is the best hammer fired "Single Action" firearm ever made, I own several & shoot them better than any of my many other pistols. Bought a 92x compact g model yesterday. Mine came with 2 15 round mags. I think the dealer honked me out of a mag. Smooth as a ribbon. As accurate as my full size M9. Really like the grip!
I bought this same gun and absolutely love it! I personally like the curved grip toward the pinky, it actually keeps the barrel down down after firing making for quick follow-up shots. Overall a beautiful gun, BERETTA is, IMHO, THE BEST QUALITY GUN, NEXT TO THE CZ!
I purchased this same gun in May of 2020 and have been enjoying it ever since. Based on a very good LE sale price, I chose the one without the light rail, and really prefer the lines of the gun without it. Beretta has materially improved on the classic 92 with this gun, providing not radically different, but better features than the original. At first, I was in the market for a Commander-size 9mm 1911 to use as a carry gun, but bought this on impulse instead. Once I shot the Compact, I realized that I didn't really need the 9mm 1911 (I have a ton of them in .45 ACP) because the Beretta gave me about the same size and weight, greater capacity, and great sights and trigger. Anywhere I could carry a Lightweight Commander I could carry the 92X Compact. Problem solved. Thickness wise the gun feels like a Glock 19 in the waistband, and you really don't notice its width when you carry OWB or in a shoulder holster. The Centurion version of this gun was not available when I bought my Compact, but I really like that configuration. I happened to have a number of full size 17 round Beretta magazines, so I bought a few X-Grip adapters for them, and typically carry the gun with one of these in it. This gives me the full length grip with the shorter barrel which I think balances perfectly, and gives me 18 rounds in my gun, which is then the exact same height as the Commander I thought I wanted. Beretta now sells a 15 round flush fit magazine for this gun if you want to retain the shorter grip of the Compact but pick up 2 more rounds. This has been one of my better handgun purchases in recent years.

Spooky Boy I just purchased one! I’m new to the gun world. So sorry for my stupid question but why does everyone want to convert it to G? What does that mean? Should I do the same?
@@bobbylee8791 Hey Bobby, if this is your first it's an awesome pick. "G" models (when it comes to Beretta) denote a decocker-only configuration. Yours is likely an "F" version, which means that when you turn that lever on the rear of your slide, it safely drops the hammer and the lever locks into position, also rendering the trigger completely disconnected and safe. A "G" Beretta lever will spring right back up when you pull it, preventing the switch from locking in that position. A lot of people like G kits because they might feel that a dead trigger is a redundant safety on a gun with a double action trigger, and it might accidentally be knocked on. Hope that helps, feel free to ask more.
@@bobbylee8791 You bet dude. Beretta sells the G kits on their site for about $55. To avoid engaging the safety just have BERETTA "G KIT" installed. The G KIT allows for you to convert your standard F/FS series 92/96 or M9A3 to “G”, or decock only; it allows for the user to safely decock the hammer and returns the firearm immediately to firing condition upon releasing the levers.
This may be a new version but this gun has been around for 25+ years. One of my martial art students was a police officer & carried one in a duty holster.
@@agricola This exact model is the 92x....... Much different from what you are thinking about. You might be talking about the 92fs, 92s, m9, m9a1. There are alot of different models of the Beretta "92" series.
I'm hoping to pickup a 92X Centurion model - once stock and prices stabilize. I own a 92FS compact and swapped the magazine baseplates to the "regular size 92" flush magazine baseplates for the same reason you mentioned @8:40. That really helps a lot. PS: I love the 92 series. Such a classic design that shoots great and is impeccably reliable.
@@PrecisionGunReviews Agreed. I also picked up a couple of Mec-Gar 15 round magazines for my compact - they work flawlessly. I ordered the flush base plates directly from Beretta for all of my 92FS compact magazines. Be careful with magazine swaps - I've pinched my right pinky finger a couple of times. Leaves a really nice blood blister. :-( PS: I swapped in a D hammer spring as well.
I have the 92FS with the tactical rail as one of my bedside firearms. I love the decocker because you can leave one in the chamber ready to go and be completely safe. When you pick it up or draw out of the holster, the tip of the decocker just barely touches the side of your thumb when it is in the vertical safe and can be effortlessly switched to the horizontal fire position as you raise your hand into the aiming position. It is one of my favorite guns. It's more of a full sized combat gun being too big for most people to conceal carry but the 92x looks very interesting. Can't wait to check one out.
Centurion has the same 5.4inch length as the full size. Just has a shorter barrel. Compact is 5.25 inch length but only 13rds 9mm vs the 15/17 you can get in the other two.

But I can't find any 92X compact grips that meet that criteria anywhere, all of the grips available are too thick or just straight up don't fit because of it being for the FS model, not the X model. I'm thinking of just picking up some regular thin FS compact grips from somewhere and machining them to fit on my X model, like Wilson Combat's ultra thin grips for the FS compact
@@fredmartin328 Ive actually tried VZ grips sometime recently and I had to return them because they were bulkier and even rougher than my stock grips, they were well made and I liked them but they werent what I wanted. Mine is a little different. It has the squared off trigger guard and the slide says Made in Italy. It also has different sights and the magwell is not flared. But overall I F'n like it. Oh and the grips are a little different.
Good afternoon. I hope this helps. I am a woman with small hands and this gun is in my EDC rotation. The gun handles extremely well, very fast cycling, the fit and feel of the gun is only surpassed by my Sig P-229 Legion. OH, the gun is drop dead accurate. I originally started with a Glock because that gun was "highly recommended". My personal opinion f the Glock is pure junk. Enjoy the day.
I dunno - Their full size 92x is actually 4.8 inches; which is about .3 smaller, the compact. It's definitely BIGGER than some compact guns in its class but as far as beretta goes, its pretty small. The issue is that when people think of compact these days, they are probably confusing themselves with a MICO-compact; which I personally hate because my hands are too big.. just feels like i'm holding a small toy. I appreciate beretta offering compact options for an otherwise timeless design and company that truly makes some reliable full metal firearms.
Almost bought one with the coating, trigger, night sights for a whooping 1,700$ then came to the realization that the 92x comes out the gate for 700$ with near the same features. I'll add night sights later... maybe.. plus the ss barrel looks terrible imo
In your opening statement you said Aluminum Framed!!! You might want to revisit your wording because I am sure there will be many more Beretta Boys to point out that the 92x is steel framed!
‘You can add the 3 slot picatinny rail’? Is that not part of what makes a 92X compact A 92x COMPACT? Beretta are starting to get fucking confusing If we can’t even show the actual gun that we’re reviewing
@@andog6092 Hi. Bill Wilson and Ernest Langdon, who know more about Berettas than any men alive, both told me that dropping the slide like that was abusive to both the 92's and 1911's, just for different reasons. With the 1911 the damage is to your trigger job, and with the 92 the issue is possible frame damage if you do it often enough. So if I'm not dropping the slide to chamber a round, I just don't do that on my pistols. I'm sure you could get away with it on the Beretta, but I just don't choose to.
What the hell is the barrel length you know Beretta call that a compact but I don't cut nothing off the damn Barrel as far as I'm concerned you're talkin 3.5 or less inch barrel to be a compact I mean to call the compact it's got the same 4-inch bill or longer just defeat the purpose I'll be able to carry one concealed safely
the unintuitive slide decocker, and the long 13lb da pull that you cant hit shit with is stupid and could get you killed.. most people will never practice enough to get proficient with that system! I stopped carrying my 92fs for those reasons.. its like driving a vehicle nowadays with a 3 speed on the column and manual choke, totally unnecessary..
You've gotta be kidding me lmao. 1, if you can't hit with a DA trigger pull, you're just not a good shot. 2, the 92x has ~8 pound incredibly smooth DA pull & one of the best standard triggers on any stock pistol. 3, the decocker is actually really good, amazing actually. Simple and reliable, If you're gunna carry one in the chamber, DA/SA is the way to go. 4, it's one of the most accurate pistols you can get unless you're going to drop 1.5k on a handgun, you aren't going to beat it in the accuracy department. It's a GREAT gun, not something that will get you killed, but something that will stick with you through thick and thin, and will still work even where others would break down.
Tom Rusch - I have used a 92FS as an EDC for 10 years and am still alive. As a guy who learned on 1911s, the slide-mounted safety/decocker was different, but hardly a huge challenge. I just learned to flick my thumb up to snick off the safety as I came on target. Other 92FS owners just leave the pistol with the safety off and rely on the DA pull to avoid accidental discharges. Basically the Sig-Sauer approach and modern revolvers. As for accuracy, it’s the Indian, not the arrow. My 92FS is extremely accurate. I grew up shooting revolvers and the Beretta’s DA has never bothered me.
@@philipwebb960 Excuse me, but the learning curve for double action is higher than striker fired, that's why they recommend Strikers to NOOBS that don't know anything about shooting. By the way, DA handguns have WAY BETTER triggers. That's what you want for accurate, consistent shooting, not those crunchy a** striker triggers. That's why people say "It's good, for a striker fired."
It is included because someone will complain about not giving the measurements. A review is just that, give as much information as possible. I also say this when people criticize background music. Turn the volume down. If it really bothers you, there is a feature where you can double click the right side of the screen to skip ahead. One final rant. I find people will be very rude when they are hiding behind a screen but will be chicken to say the same thing to the persons face.

@@philipwebb960 Yeah, it's a 92 compact without the X. It says 92 Compact L on the slide.
You have a 92fs compact, not the 92x compact shown here
How is the grip for a woman with small hands
Good afternoon. I hope this helps. I am a woman with small hands and this gun is in my EDC rotation. The gun handles extremely well, very fast cycling, the fit and feel of the gun is only surpassed by my Sig P-229 Legion. OH, the gun is drop dead accurate. I originally started with a Glock because that gun was "highly recommended". My personal opinion f the Glock is pure junk. Enjoy the day.
Can the beretta 92x compact share 10 round magazines with other compacts I live in a 10 rd state thanx
Yes
You should move to a freedom state.
compact X, looks sleeker than the standard model and the rails are not, this is very good
Can anyone help me please with the Holster on this 92x please.

What kind of holster IWB or OWB ?
DJ did you try Beretta's web site?
That gat is plum dam Keeler
beretta's "compacts" are always full-size...
There’s some truth to that
I dunno - Their full size 92x is actually 4.8 inches; which is about .3 smaller, the compact.
Awesome video review and gorgeous Sexy Gun Really Beautiful and Reliable, Thank You for Your Excellent Professional Review.
Just buy the Langdon tactical
@Shinshocks its available also without a rail....
Almost bought one with the coating, trigger, night sights for a whooping 1,700$ then came to the realization that the 92x comes out the gate for 700$ with near the same features. I'll add night sights later... maybe.. plus the ss barrel looks terrible imo
Not everyone can afford the extra grand
Slide hurts my hand. Hope I can return it.
i want Inox version back not this
Impressive.
Missing: magazine compatibility between the models.
What are you talking about? All 92 series mags are compatible.
Cornway. I was born in Myrtle Beach. Not Cornway.😇
In your opening statement you said Aluminum Framed!!! You might want to revisit your wording because I am sure there will be many more Beretta Boys to point out that the 92x is steel framed!
The 92x american mades are aluminum he is not wrong. aluminum alloy pistols DO contain steel, but it is mixed with aluminum.
The 92X Performance is steel framed. The regular 92X is aluminum framed.
‘You can add the 3 slot picatinny rail’? Is that not part of what makes a 92X compact A 92x COMPACT? Beretta are starting to get fucking confusing If we can’t even show the actual gun that we’re reviewing
They have a version with and without the rail. The 92x has the vertec grip and the round trigger guard
You should NEVER. NEVER deactivate the slide release on an empty pistol, any pistol. Steel hitting aluminium will crack the aluminium.
On a 1911 never heard of this on a modern pistol.
@@andog6092 You should hang with a better informed crowd.
Compared to the 92FS the Beretta Compact is a compact version of the 92!
It has much more to do with grip size. The barrel length doesn’t really change ability to conceal
@@Room-qd7pl lots of non compact Jonson equipped men around the word understand this ... long and thin disappears , short and fat can’t be hidden
the unintuitive slide decocker, and the long 13lb da pull that you cant hit shit with is stupid and could get you killed.. most people will never practice enough to get proficient with that system!
Tom Rusch: The double action complaint is an EXCELLENT excuse for anyone who can't learn to shoot with discipline.
@@birdsaredumb8442 See my comment above. If you don't like a 92X, then don't buy one.
Terrible grouping
Zzzzzzzzzzz
Who gives a shit about the measurements !!!
I do.
If you're buying a compact, you probably want to conceal it. The measurements are important so you know how well you can conceal it.
I feel the same about the bullshit about trigger reset being audible. It's pointless bullshit.
It would’ve been nice to see a side by side comparison with a full size Beretta 92
It is included because someone will complain about not giving the measurements. A review is just that, give as much information as possible.
The way I see it, this gentleman took the time out of his day to research and film this review.
When you film your review then leave it out! In the meantime, don't criticize other people's work.
I also say this when people criticize background music. Turn the volume down. If it really bothers you, there is a feature where you can double click the right side of the screen to skip ahead.
One final rant. I find people will be very rude when they are hiding behind a screen but will be chicken to say the same thing to the persons face.
