Agreed. There's way more to athleticism than speed and springs. But there's little doubt that speed and springs attracts more fans. I spent my teen years watching Larry Bird, and Joker reminds me a lot of Larry. He's the kind of player you can build a dynasty around. But Ja Morant leaves me dumbfounded at least twice a game. When you compare the two, there's little doubt who's more athletic.

Athleticism covers all qualities that are characteristic of athletes: strength, agility, fitness, endurance, speed, balance, coordination. It isn't limited to speed and a high vertical.

Y'all, they're not saying Joker is *actually* unathletic.
They're saying he's one of the least athletic people IN THE NBA, which is true. Being at the bottom of the NBA still puts him wayyyyyy above 99.99% of the world. Another of those "I'm closer to Lebron James than you are to me" moments. It's true that his vertical jump and 40-yard dash speeds are both terrible by NBA standards, but he's so good that it doesn't matter.
*Also, his stamina is almost as good as Steph Curry's, which is absolutely absurd and I think needs to be talked about more.

Little to no athleticism? He's a really great athlete compared to the general population or even most other professionals. But if you compare his athleticism to athletic freaks in the NBA, then he's not on that level athletically. But that doesn't mean that his game has little to no athleticism, that's ridiculous.

all you have to do is watch closely when he shoots especially in the paint he actually goes into the defenders arms/hands making contact and making it look like the defender fouled him..a lot of those foul calls are not really fouls they are play-ons or offensive fouls…a lot of players do this in todays NBA and its ruining the NBA..it also defeats the purpose of playing defense which has been part of the game from the very beginning .
