    'A little further ahead' - no disrespect, he was miles ahead, there's a huge disparity in skill set. There's nothing wrong with that, but you really need to acknowledge that so you recognise the curve you need to go on to improve.

    Good work man. I saw you recover the knee line more than once. You were defending well. That last one was tough, the figure four seemed tight and the leg was compromised. You had to tap but so what! You learn, continue to train and get better. Best of luck moving forward.

  • @hudsonmatheny3184
    @hudsonmatheny3184 Месяц назад +25

    Really and truly 100% the only breath of dominance in the match was you bench pressing him off you and getting your knee out of his knee line in the first entanglement.
    To think that you are “not far behind” is wild to say after that performance. I’m rewatching it as I type this to make sure I’m not crazy.
    The second you got any momentum on bottom he used it to pass your hip line.
    Literally grappling a full circle around you as he keeps you pinned then going for the kill with the double trouble.
    I’m not even trolling. I don’t do comments like this. You’re talented and you have a bright future but like the top comment said, “he was miles ahead”
    Best of luck with your ADCC run. Looking forward to seeing how far you make it

    Nice experience in taking the match. Whilst watching it looked to me that you were making frames and shutting down Gordon's movements and angles in a calm and technical manner, however you appeared to be waiting to see what Gordon's next movements were as opposed to initiating your own offence. What are your insights with respect to not being more offensive or did Gordon somehow shut that ability down?

    The Coach in the beginning do not show the Technique good...
    1. He forget the to secure the second Leg with a Footlock, so the Opponent can not go out and to hold the Opponent near you.
    2. He have to drive his Body Backwards, to grab the Foot in the Heelhook. If the Oponnent stretch the Foot and have Power, you can not simply grab it with the free Hand.
    3. He uses too much Force on the Leg triangle to show the technique, this is very dangerous for the knee, its like a Z-Lock what he do and you can torn the ACL also without using the Hands.

    I don't understand the game plan of going against Mr tummy ache himself and seeing the pain on his face and still laying there and trying the play the technical game against him instead of blasting him. Its like all those big muscles were entirely wasted. All that explosivity that you have and you used none of it and got absorbed into his game. I hope this is a lesson for you for the future that its barley your technique that lost you the match. It was your mind being absorbed by him.

    TBH it was pretty arrogant to think this was going to be an opportunity to basically try and sell more instructionals about how to get belts super fast in JJ.
    Dude got completely schooled casually by a guy that felt like throwing up the whole time.
    He wasn't a step ahead....he was many steps ahead.
    There's a reason there's levels and time makes a difference.
