He might even be like 4'10 and she might be 6'4 heels. They lie about heights to make her look taller and make this more of a big deal. A 6'4 woman is rare but there are plenty 5'8 to 6'0 women.

I'm lucky that I'm pretty confident in my own skin, not the most, but others in my shoes would probably be less so. It sucks, but there's nothing I can do, unlike with weight. So I've (somewhat) come to terms with it. Sad that people treat you differently depending on your height tbh.

My best friend is six feet tall and she exclusively dated short guys from the 5’ 2” to 5’ 6” range. I thought this was odd but cute, and she was never able to explain it but then I a found an online discussion with tall women (I think from a tall girl forum) with the same taste.
Some of the common arguments from these women were that short guys were the only ones who could relate to their struggles with height in a society where being on either extreme made you less of a man or woman. Some were sick of the toxic masculinity and macho behavior from insecure taller men constantly trying to prove themselves as alpha males and stronger than them (Or the ridicule from his friends and family about dating a woman bigger and manlier than him.) One expressed that the world was not made for short men and tall women and hoped that by finding a short husband their genetics would mix and produce an average sized child who could fit in better and have a better life, and many others agreed with her.
Danny Devito talked in an interview how as a short guy he faced rejection over and over until he started asking the tallest girls at his high school out who were otherwise ignored out of embarrassment and insecurity and how they developed bonds.
Hang on. Tall woman are seen as beautiful supermodel material and short woman are seen as cute and feminine. Short men on the other hand are considered as sub animals that deserve to be exterminated.

@Felipe. No lol, dwarfs are 4'10 and below. I'm 5'2 and not a dwarf, the little people community would laugh if I said I was. 5'2 is very short yes, but not to the point it's extremely rare.

Once a man I knew from a college class asked me out for a date. I politely turned him down because I was only interested in women at the time. The man said, "The real reason is because Im short, right?" I was shocked and lost for words for a moment. Then I felt really bad. I said, "No, really! You're a good looking guy, I just like women. Yeah I feel you, I'm short too but I'm really slender so at least I look a bit taller because of that. I really don't care about my height though it doesnt define who I am at all and I actually LOVE how short I am it definitely has its advantages for sure. One of them being we can fit into tight spaces much easier and faster, we make EXCELLENT undercover cops/operatives since we blend into crowds really well with a smaller chance of being spotted, we move faster and the list goes on. You just gotta think of all the great things about being short like how we also live longer on average.

Myself growing up I was pick on, rejected by beautiful ladies, never had a prom partner, wasn't pick on team sports and the lists goes on. For me growing up there was no positivity about being short. I believed my height was the reason I didn't do well in life, it never gave me self confidence. Everyone is different and have different personality. I'm just happy u handle it like a champ

There is always that one person out of 7 billion on the earth who would fall head over heels for you and other short guys. And besides I've never always been positive about being short, truthfully. However I realized that I was born this way and I will embrace it and learn to turn it into an advantage even if others see it as a disadvantage. If I ever get into a fight, which I've never been into before, it'll most definitely be with someone taller than me but that's alright. I see a lot of girls around 5'8 or 5'9, which is considered taller than avg for women, refusing to date men shorter than them, possibly because they still have plenty of options. But in my experience as a 6'1 woman, when you're this tall as a woman you have to work through those insecurities or you just wont survive. Like the woman in this video I've had to learn to be comfortable in my skin because I always stick out no matter who's around me, so i'm probably more open to dating a 5'8 dude than a lot of 5'9 women would be. So I think OP is right if when you think 'tall women' you actuall mean TALL women.
I'm a 5'1 female and I never considered height in my choices. After dating several guys and one of them happen to be tall that's when I realized that I liked tall guys as well. You feel very protected and dainty with them. Also I wouldn't want to have a very short male child. But still I did not really consider height when getting to know a guy it was more like a bonus.

Im 5ft5 and I have dated a 6ft1 woman before. I was so attracted to her but she had no confidence in me and was afraid to admit it. Eventhough I could provide for us for sure, it didn't matter. While my confidence made us a great couple when we were happy. Her insecurity eventually showed and she could'nt see us together anymore. I'm also short brother, I had issues with my height till I hit highschool so I understand. The key is to not give a sht and learn to resist this devl influenced world. You need to acknowledge that this world is a dark devouring one, understand that and persistently work on your foundation. Walk(figuratively and literally) in confidence and assertion as a human being who takes no garbage. Ignore the hecklers, fight for your loved ones, filter out mean spirited people and uplift those around you. Being short or having a socially disapproved appearance can be a blessing in disguise. It'll help you expose those whom are genuine and those whom are superficial snakes. Learn to love life and love yourself/others. I am 5'2" and would like to speak for all my brothers 5'4" and under: Just give us a shot. I'm not saying you have to marry a short guy, but don't count it completely out. Most of us men dont care about your height. I would feel like I hit the lottery if a girl a half a foot taller than me fell in love with me. And it challenges gender stereotypes which encourages equality among all people. A lot of Short guys have a lot to make up for, so you'll probably find them to be funnier, wittier, friendlier, and more humble than most guys. If height is even part of your criteria for finding the right guy, you must re-evaluate what's really important to you in a relationship and which traits are really valuable. You may find those traits in a tall guy or a short guy. And stop worrying about how it looks. No one cares. And if they do, they're not good people.

My boyfriend of two years is 5'3" and I'm 5'5" and he still struggles with his confidence because of the height difference. People will also tease him for it, which doesn't help. When he was young his body didn't produce enough growth hormone, so he didn't get as tall as he would have. Some people assume it's because he's Asian and they assume Asian men are short. He's Korean and Korean men have the same average height as American men, so the constant joking he gets from people kinda ticks me off.

I think it might have to do with how it was shot(filmed) that actually distorted their sizes on here.
Since they showed the entire body of two people, the woman made it look like the man is smaller because she is being viewed as the set height. Everything around her makes it look smaller than it actually is.
The camera is also shooting at angles the exaggerated their heights. By having the camera above and shooting downwards at the man it makes him appear shorter and more diminutive, and by having camera lower and shooting up at the woman it makes her appear taller and more domineering. Most photographers will have their camera at their subject's eye level as it capture to most humanity and also give you an insight into the subject's world as you are seeing everything else in the photo (or video) as the subject would naturally see it. This can be especially useful when photographing or (video recording) children and will give much better results than just standing there and pointing you camera (or phone) down at them.
