Your Mom went i put half of it in! I never said you'd be the same height throughout your adulthood life. All I am saying is 5 ft. 8 or 5 ft. 9 are borderline average amongst the globe. Short is like 5 ft. 5 for men. For women around 5 ft. 2. I wouldn't call a woman who's 5 ft. 5 short, I'd call her average, same for a man who's 5 ft. 8 or 5 ft. 9.
Plus a lot of people either measure their height wrong, lie, round up, or measure with shoes on. I honestly doubt the average male throughout the globe is 5 ft 10, it's probably a bit shorter than that. 5 ft. 10 average male height for U.S.? Maybe, but being an inch or two shorter isn't that much of a big difference. If a 5 ft. 8 and 5 ft. 10 male were walking side by side on the streets I'd probably couldn't tell who's taller until they go neck to neck. It starts to get significantly different at 5 ft. 8 compared to 6 ft.
ghettoblaster36 i don't think they meant that being short means you're not healthy, but that some health conditions can also cause you to be shorter than you otherwise would be and therefore possibly below the average height of healthy people without that health condition

My boyfriend is 6'4" and I'm 5'1", but when I'm around him I don't feel particularly short, I just feel like he's really tall haha. The weirdest thing about height to me is that I don't feel short until I see someone who is around my height and then I notice how short they look but have that uncomfortable moment when I realize I am just as short.

Gracious grace it's good to be optimistic, but a date to a wedding doesn't necessarily mean a girlfriend. I know plenty of people who go to weddings with friends because they're are awkward to go to without someone else. Plus, there's a weird stigma about not bringing a date too.

I'm a 5'9 female and I don't have a problem with guys who are shorter than me but my experience is that short guys don't like taller girls because their self confidence suffers and they just straight up refuse to date taller because of it.

I'm 6'1 and i don't mind dating shorter guys. But you can tell if they feel like their masculinity is threatened which kind of makes me feel insecure. (that doesn't always happen but it happens a lot).
