Wow, the first few lines of the song fit your intro perfectly! And the fact that you chose a different intro melody really shows how much this series means to you =) For me, this series is better than almost anything this fandom has created, including animations. Nothing over these last couple of years inspired me as much as this project, and it's almost unbelievable that it has finally reached its conclusion. I also really didn't mind that they went back to their more sketchy design, I think it looks more iconic this way. All in all, I really enjoyed it, and I am really looking forward to whatever Ink Potts is planning to do next =)

@Artsia:) Thanks, I'm happy that my comments make you feel that way =) I did write a very indepth comment on the animatic itself, but YT decided to be super-rude and make it invisible for a day. Now it's visible again and even though it got ~600 likes, YT put it very far down, which is quite annoying. You can still find it if you scroll down enough ^^
I can only imagine how emotional you are towards these series considering how they're tied to the very beginning of your channel. As soon as they’ve released this last animatic I’ve been waiting for your reaction on it. That little squeak at 5:22 is priceless! xD I couldn’t add more to what you’ve said about Ink Potts and their work, they truly inspired many artists (me included) and made a huge impact on the entire MLP fandom, at least for me. Although, I must say that I still would rather stick with the book ending and I am very glad that Ink Potts left the ending open for interpretation for the fans. And yes, I was a bit disappointed as well that there was no little epilogue at the end, sadly. After so many years and it just ends to abruptly it felt very weird. ^^; I'm assuming that Ink Potts are now going to work on another musical, probably either "Dracula" or "Phantom of the Opera", or something else entirely. Any chance you’re going to react to their future work if it'll be MLP related? =O

Everytime I see this one I always get tears in my eyes, just because the journey is so emotional, and then I was 6.5 and I get automatic chills. I would love to see it in color one day, but this series of animatics and watching the growth always makes me so emotional
I found out something new that I didn't even know about, even though I follow both ladies on DA. Silhouette did a character profile of the Count and his eyes still retain color because he still had a small spark of hope lay hidden within, despite all of his anger. Yay! I couldn't wait for your reaction to this Blank. But then again I did send you a tweet that this animatic was about to come out.
Oh my gosh I have been waiting for this for so long! Not quite as long as you but at least 2 years. I went back and listened to your reactions to the first 4 and then watched your reaction to 5 to get myself back into this and I am so glad because it made watching this animatic before I watched your reaction all the better. I was just staring in dumbfounded joy at this animatic almost the entire time and when Dante's got his colors back I legit cried. And that's saying something, only 2 episodes of MLP and 2 fan animations have made me cry out of every episode of the show and every animation I have seen. That and him taking flight again, that was huge too as ever since Every Day A Little Death he has not only had the faded colors but has not even once unfurled his wings. I too wouldn't have minded seeing him with Mercedes, and I also kinda wanted to see the cutie mark return but frick, that's neither here nor there because this was amazing. Just... What a Journey, in my younger years I wasn’t a huge fan of theater so I didn’t see or know about, “The Count Of Monte Cristo.” This project has really interested me in it and the effort which has been put into this project was just outstanding 7-8 years in the making

I love the little "AHH" at the end it was super cute. I've been waiting so long for this last video of theirs and I loved it. I love the art style change so much, I actually like this one more than the last one and I immediately looked for your reaction to it. The song is so uplifting and I cried like a baby when I watched it, and I still do. Dantes went through so much and he deserved this ending.

Great series and a truly great video. Hey, have you ever thought on giving a chance to either Theatroid or Stuflox's videos? They both are really good animatic-makers and their content is related to MLP and very similar to what Ink Potts doing. With Theatroid doing their Phantom of the Opera series ft. Fluttershy as Christine, Twilight as the Phantom and Pinkie Pie as Raoul, and with Stuflox with their Dance of the Vampires series ft. Nightmare Moon as the vampire Count Von Krolock, Twilight as the brave vampire hunter Professor Abronsiuss, Fluttershy as his fearful assistant Alfred and Pinkie Pie as Sarah, the damsel in distres who's being captured by the vampires. What do ya think? Could be worth a watch and would be an interesting reaction to make out of those videos while you wait for new updates on Ink Potts.

Three comments: 1. Why didn't I realize how great this was before?!? I'm now actually the slightest bit interested in The Count of Monte Cristo as a story, and I basically don't read, view, watch, or even give a flying f*YAY* about fiction anymore unless it involves non-hominid creatures. It's amazing how making a classic relevant to someone's interests makes them pay attention. 2. I went looking for comparable animatics, and someone's doing a similar series with The Phantom of the Opera. The art isn't quite as good as Ink Potts' (not a surprise, given how far they've come), but Magpie and PegasusPitch have done a set of vocal covers, so it's pretty rad. 3. Because I don't want to sully the comments on the actual works: bow ties on docks... That is all.
The description of the video says that the ending is meant to be ambiguous because the book and musical have different endings. Ink wanted to leave the ending up to the viewer.
They left it on an anbgious ending, because the Musical (and film) had him reunite with her, yet in the book he chose to go with another woman instead.
Blank Slate did you read the description where he said he left it up to us to decide whether we went with the book's ending of being with Mercedes or the musical's ending where he ends up with somebody else
I myself prefer other pairings, such as TwiDash, but FlutterDash is good too, and in my opinion is leaps and bounds way better than AppleDash! 😐. Yeah, I don't like AppleDash, but, as Blank Check said, that's neither here nor there.
Hey Blank, how do feel about mlp fim ending after season 9? I'm quite upset about it but I think we all knew if it continued, they wouldn't be able to make more story lines. I really hope the fandom will continue even if the show ends.
I still say I'm not a fan of the new style they used for the last two animatics. In addition, in terms of music, while this was great, there was one song I loved above all others, and as a result that song, and it being from the first four animatics, my favorite is still bar none Hell To Your Doorstep.
