Hopefully he takes his career seriously and not get distracted like many players do especiallyat such a youngage. He has high potential and hopefully America will let him leave but only if its to Europe where he can continue his growth.
Very good young player should be on quite a few European teams scouting list. If I was scout for a Spanish team I would keep an eye on him he would fit that league easily and can go straight into a any team straight away.
His dribbling is incredible but compilation videos like this make me skeptical because it only highlights when they dribble successfully. How consistent is he? How tactically aware is he? How is his passing? Shooting? I really hope his move to Europe sharpens these skills and that he has a great career.
I believe he had the best or one of the best dribbling success rates in the Mexican league. If anything his dribbling and agility are his best qualities. His shooting isn't the best he definitely needs a lot of improvement there. Passing is alright, he does give bad passes every now and then but he makes up for it with his goal-opportunities via passes/crosses, most don't end in goals due to the inefficiency of his teammates on goal but he does his part nonetheless. For his age I'd say he's very tactically aware, even more so than most of his older and more experienced Club-Teammates. He's still very young and has a lot to grow in all aspects but he's shown to have what it takes to become a "star", he doesn't fall under-pressure in fact he performs best under-pressure, he's shown that on multiple occasions both in Club and in National-Team. He's definitely improved a lot since his debut at 16 and he's improving at a good pace, but I just hope that he continues to improve and that he doesn't let the praises and compliments get to his head to the point where he feels satisfied with where he's at and subconsciously decides not to improve any further. That's what tends to happen to young mexican prospects ie; Carlos Vela and Giovanni Dos Santos (both had similar characteristics to Diego), the praises and compliments get to their heads and they eventually end up not living up to the expectations. Diego however I'm confident will be a different story, he's very mature even off the field he gives interviews like a level-headed 28 year old would and is very professional he's focused 100% in his profession and doesn't go out partying which is what Vela and Dos Santos were infamously known for.

I honestly can’t believe this young man is Mexican, don’t get me wrong! I’m Mexican myself, but the way this kid plays so gracefully. Reminds me of a Argentinian or Brazilian player. Hopefully he takes his career seriously and not get distracted like many players do especiallyat such a youngage. He has high potential and hopefully America will let him leave but only if its to Europe where he can continue his growth.
Very good young player should be on quite a few European teams scouting list. If I was scout for a Spanish team I would keep an eye on him he would fit that league easily and can go straight into a any team straight away.

His dribbling is incredible but compilation videos like this make me skeptical because it only highlights when they dribble successfully. How consistent is he? How tactically aware is he? How is his passing? Shooting? I really hope his move to Europe sharpens these skills and that he has a great career.
I believe he had the best or one of the best dribbling success rates in the Mexican league. If anything his dribbling and agility are his best qualities. His shooting isn't the best he definitely needs a lot of improvement there. Passing is alright, he does give bad passes every now and then but he makes up for it with his goal-opportunities via passes/crosses, most don't end in goals due to the inefficiency of his teammates on goal but he does his part nonetheless. For his age I'd say he's very tactically aware, even more so than most of his older and more experienced Club-Teammates. He's still very young and has a lot to grow in all aspects but he's shown to have what it takes to become a "star", he doesn't fall under-pressure in fact he performs best under-pressure, he's shown that on multiple occasions both in Club and in National-Team. He's definitely improved a lot since his debut at 16 and he's improving at a good pace, but I just hope that he continues to improve and that he doesn't let the praises and compliments get to his head to the point where he feels satisfied with where he's at and subconsciously decides not to improve any further. That's what tends to happen to young mexican prospects ie; Carlos Vela and Giovanni Dos Santos (both had similar characteristics to Diego), the praises and compliments get to their heads and they eventually end up not living up to the expectations. Diego however I'm confident will be a different story, he's very mature even off the field he gives interviews like a level-headed 28 year old would and is very professional he's focused 100% in his profession and doesn't go out partying which is what Vela and Dos Santos were infamously known for.
