I would really love to see you do the vdo of
1.M2 2016 vs m6 driver
2.callaway XR16 vs epic flash drivee
3.ping g30 vs g410 driver
4. Honma tw737 vs tw747 driver
I’ll tell you that the m2 would perform just as well as the m6
The flash would beat the xr16
G410 would beat g30 marginally
And I don’t know about honma
Good review as always 👍
Even though your not fond of 3w's & the strikes were off a little, you've tested better products in my humble opinion.
A better 16.6 Standard Deviation vs 24.0 of Left / Right Dispersion by moving the weights back - at the cost of 500rpms increase of spin (3900 vs 3400) but still a less than optimal launch angle (that's low), peak height (could be higher) and descent angles (could be steeper) - there mIght a combination by splitting the heavy and lighter weights, adding some club loft to find a better mix. I looked at your Ping 410, M5, Epic Flash - they are all the tiniest bit more optimal - but distance is similar - might just be a smaller lower launching head - but that launch angle is pretty low.
I wish you would have shown the actual adjustment
I know you normally do not carry a 3-wood, but if you keep the 2 -iron in the bag, more spin with the wood is not a bad thing. It keeps the ball on line & with a slight negative angle of attack you can go for green at 240-260 & stay on the green. I do not choose a 3-wood for tee shots alone. The shaft choice is important also with at least enough flex & launch to get ball air born easily.
I get the feeling you don’t like it that much. I love the look of it seems like it didn’t perform great for you today though
Less spin with the weight forward. More accurate with the weight back.
