Always been my dream since I was 8 years old to live in NYC ... I am 25 now (lol). I have decided that I want this to be the year. I am just trying to figure out the job and roommate situation but the second everything comes together, I am moving. Just trying not to scare myself out it at the same time but I think I will regret it if I don't try to achieve it and despite all the talk about how expensive it is, people, like yourself, seem to make it work, so I like to think I can do the same
I felt the same way when I was younger I was like there is no way I can make this happen and now I am living in the apartment I always dreamed of. You can do it!

Depends on what your home equity is. If you need the $ now and have made gains (which you will in this market) - liquidate. Or you can rent it out and use the rental income for your place in NYC 🤍

Has skyrocketed I'd walk away with no less than 180...figure I could squeeze in a fly diamond engagement ring with some of that!! All honesty tho location location location where to move to borough wise..and finding a job to fit my skill set. Are my main concerns....

@@Squishyring thank you! I’m a single woman with no kids besides my furbaby so I’m not the best person to get family advice from when in the city. But, there are many other great youtubers who have families in nyc I would check out Sarah Funk she just had a baby
Did sex in the city or friends make you desire to move there more? I always hear those as reasons why people want to move to nyc think youve already talked about the differences on tv and reality. Yes visit Ny first though people! Like she said if you live with someone rather than stay in a hotel youll get more of the authentic experience. Same goes with traveling anywhere too. My recommendation is eat what the locals eat, do as the locals do :)
100p I romanticized the crap out of nyc from movies and shows. But, I knew that in real life it wouldn’t be exactly like it was in sex and the city. First off, most people don’t regularly walk around the city in stiletto heels. But a lot of the glamour of nyc seen on the shows is real and I have experienced a lot of it in reality. You can’t really show the smells and trash and sweat in the movies as you would experience in real life but I think the show does still talk about it.
My parents don’t mind moving to nyc but the problem is where I live now it’s super hard to move to the USA it’s gonna take at least 4 years unless we get a visa which what I’m trying to make them do lmao
