When he looks at his father while they are playing, it's a look of appreciation for the skills passed down and a "hey dad look what I can do!". It's beautiful. These moments are remembered forever.
Huge SRV fan since he had first hit the radio , saw Billy , and he somehow filled a little of the hole in my heart A good virtuoso is such a pleasure too watch ,,,,,,,,, His dad and friends as well Love the way he just shares it all ,,,,,,,,,,,, with all
WOW!! Absolutely love how easy it is to see the admiration they sharefor each others musicianship. I had the unlikely pleasure of meeting Billy at a small gathering a short while ago and found him to be a very humble & genuine individual. ✌🏼
The man who helped mold Billy Strings to this awesome young man and the Best he can possibly be.. thank you from the bottom of my 60yr old 💚👁️💚🎵🎸🪕🎶🕺🎶🎻🎤🎶💚
I love these folks!! So talented..so humble..just a group of good people ..am not a people person i tend to stay to myself alot and i choose to be. I have a feeling these folks would be the folks i wouldn't mind being around!
This video is just so amazing, I knew Billy Strings and this father, but I really discovered the fiddle player, Grant Flick, I will for sure remember his name...
It’s so cool to see this young generation come up and have a huge interest in this bluegrass/ Americana type music and totally killing it... so many young dudes that are making amazing music with this rock/metal/jazz/blues/bluegrass type music. It’s fucking amazing!
Man I could sip a mason jar and listen to this all day long. My right foot started hurting. I didnt realize that I had been shaking it along with the rhythm ever since I hit the play button.
Hellooo!! Who’s the young man on the fiddle? And where is he now?? My goodness he’s amazing!!! And that was 5 years ago.. Billy should give him a call and see what could come of it!!!💪🏼👊🏼👍🏻❤️
Check out Grant Flick's music with his band Westbound Situation! He has a bunch of guest appearances with Billy's band also! There are also a bunch of videos with Billy and his stepdad Terry Barber, who he is touring with in Feb 2020.
Ran into the fiddle player a few years back in Elkins West Virginia. I think that's his father on the other guitar. He was tearing it up back then and he was only about 10 years old. Of course Billy and his dad have been scorching the countryside for years.
gutbucket you know of the fiddlers name??? So so so damn goooood!!!!! And for only playing a few years holy crow!!! I’ve been playing for about 5 years and am no where closeeeeee but it’s cool :)
Totalyy awesome pleasure to watch Billy and his dad play together! Every single time! If those two can't get that guy up off of the ground behind them, then he is either deaf or dead or had too much shine...
These guys are good they need to play now because dad will be old very very fast. It happened to me I was seventy before I knew it. I wanted to cut a record with my boys but I got old very fast . I can still play but I’m not A plus any longer. These boys are the cats meow.
Having a lot of fun, which is what music is all about. The great classical guitarist Alirio Diaz emphasised this in his master classes and demonstrated it in his playing.
Where is the Monroe music park? Billy could give Chet Adkins some tough competition, He is one of the best I have ever seen and in my 86 years I've seen a lot.
Old mountain music it’s history if you check it out spans many countries and then it all came to the states and molded together an old hillbilly music Kentucky Virginia been around a long time
Imagine walking around in your local park and coming upon this group of fantastic musicians!! Wow!
I'd pick a spot in the shade and sit and watch in amazement. Billy is a straight up beast on anything he plays.
Billy is awesome and his dad is no slouch, either. This is fabulous!
Billy is beyond good, but we can all thank his dad for the teaching. Thank you Terry Barber.
When he looks at his father while they are playing, it's a look of appreciation for the skills passed down and a "hey dad look what I can do!". It's beautiful. These moments are remembered forever.
Right! Terry taught billy. Its so awesome!
I love how much this amazing young man loves his dad. If the music doesn't make you cry him looking at his dad will.
I'd have given the world had my Dad & I had such a bond , Dad & I missed so much during our time as family .
It’s really a way to pass the lead when you’re jamming

Wow! This is awesome. I wish I'd been walking by when this was going down! Fiddle and Mandolin steal the show!
Very cool. Fiddle sounded great, and his dad(?) and yes, Billy and Dad good as always.

It was nice to watch Billy and father together

Amazing stuff all right...soulful and inventive. 4 1/2 years of playing though....how is that possible?

@@rockyUK1990 Reincarnation is litterally the last possible logical explanation.

SO good, great to see a young fiddle player. Just wish they did the cabin on the hill as one uncut song, one of my favourite tunes.
Old Joe clark what’s the first song?
Blows
My
Mind.
Once heard the only difference between the violin and the fiddle is the way you play it. That kid right there is damn sure a fiddle player!
I always heard the difference was no one got mad if you spilled beer on a fiddle.
A violin has strings. A fiddle has strangs.
I play it just like that.!
