Thanks for the informative video. I have a Royal Enfield Continental GT650 in Rocker Red. I bought a centrestand from India. I was looking on YT for a method of installing it. Thanks again.
Great video. I am just about to take delivery of an Interceptor that will be mounted to a sidecar so it doesnt need the centre stand. I think I will take it off the Interceptor and put it on my Continental GT instead - free upgrade for the GT!
Welcome back, your videos were missed. The video is very interesting, very practical for maintenance 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 I have followed many of your tutorials for most of my mods and it has been very useful. I look forward to all your new videos. greetings from Spain.
Thanks for putting up this video. I've just fitted a centre stand to my GT650 prior to touring Brittany at the end of June. Very useful tips there for tensioning those springs!
🇩🇴🇩🇴Greetings from Dominican Republic excellent program, Yesterday I made a trip of 500 kms Yesterday I made a trip of 500 kms in my Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 Mark2
Thank you for posting this. About to give this a try with the hammer handle method. I would’ve waisted an hour trying to stretch it with a zip tie, and might’ve ended up ripping my hand meat 😅
Hello. I am posting for the first time. I always customize based on your videos. I will continue to refer to it. I look forward to your new videos. ( I use a translation app) from Japan. Kazuya
RE could have made it with hydraulic valve adjustment and belt drive. Center stand is useful and should be mandatory for all motorcycles. You may never need it but it's nice to have just in case. You never know.
@@losttogether4ever My Sportster is 25 years old and I have 400,000 miles on the original engine and 3 belts in that time. A belt lasts 100,000+ miles, the drive sprockets are original. A new belt is $100. Figure out how many chains, sprockets, cans of chain lube, never mind all the time you spend cleaning the rear wheel. I would invest in the belt drive and save money in the long run. If you sell the bike you can use it for a selling point. I put up with chain drive on my Triumph Tr-6. But not my 1999 Sportster. Believe me it will make you spoiled . You will never tolerate the chain crap again.Belt drive is the one smart thing that HD has done. Belt drive on a HD was a AMF 💡 idea. I am surprised that RE 650 and 350 for the Western market are not so equipped from the factory 🏭. The cost per unit would be next to nothing if RE ordered enough. It would only be a $200 per bike. New features are better than new colors.
Nice to see you again! And good job for this center stand. Agree with you, that left arm IS to Big without left pipe. I Wonder if it will be harder to put the bike on stand with a molded shorter arm?🤔
I'm not sure if it would be harder if the angle is the same. I might go back to 2 pipes with aftermarket slip ons, not sure yet. I really like the sound of the 2-1 though.
Hey as i checked from my royal enfield service centre they said gt650 have no centre stand you can install the interceptor 650 centre stand but it will reduced the ground clearance by alot also why your Gt have only one exaust? Mine have 2
That's true, I installed the interceptor center stand on my GT, it does NOT reduce ground clearance much, your GT will have the same ground clearance as an interceptor. The exhaust is aftermarket TEC bike parts 2-1 Stinger exhaust-- ruclips.net/video/cUODVOtf7JA/видео.html
Yes absolutely, both stands can be used, when I park I usually put the side stand down, then get off the bike with it on the side stand, then with my left hand on the handle bar and right hand on the frame close to the rear shock, step on the centre stand and with your weight on the stand and while lifting the rear frame pop the bike on the centre stand. Maybe I should make a video showing the proper technique?
Hey, Thanks for watching and commenting. The advantage of the center stand is it's always with you, if we go on a trip and I want to adjust or lube the chain in a hotel parking lot I can. Also when storing my bike in the garage I just pop it up on the center stand. As you can see I have other bikes in the garage so usually the track stand is used on my wife's Ninja 650 which doesn't have a center stand.
Nice. All I need now is a Royal Enfield.
Get one! You won't regret it!
@@losttogether4ever I’m 23 years old and unemployed. Gonna take a while hahaha
Thanks for this idea. Helped an awful lot.
Great glad to hear we're helping our fellow riders!!

Great Idea!! I'd love to see an Interceptor with a sidecar. Thanks for being a part of our channel.

Fantastic!! That's a great ride!! Thanks for watching
I did the same job on my W800 Cafe, The double spring was a real bear, but I got some help!
Yup!! Once I tried it using the leverage and screwdriver it seemed so easy!! I struggled with vice grips and wires trying to pull that damn spring!

Yes they could have but then it would be pricey!! Hog Head from the Forums makes a beautiful belt drive kit for the 650's.
@@losttogether4ever How much for the belt drive kit?
I think it's around $600.00usd all in.
