There is one thing to keep in mind. Sanitizing a surface only takes a few seconds. Disinfecting, however, takes a few minutes. Sanitization involves killing bacteria only. Disinfecting involves not only killing bacteria but also destroying viruses.
Very true. I used to mention that in my early videos... I can only test for bacteria so that is sanitizing. I cannot test for viruses so no disinfecting tests for me!
Video Suggestion - try best hand soap or body wash and see if they kill bacteria. I would recommend dial antibacterial or spring water one.
I heard we weren't supposed to use antibacterial soap because it creates super bugs
I will add that to my viewer suggestion list! Thanks for watching and commenting!
So some people don’t use antibacterial hand wash for that reason. I just use hand soap, not antibacterial, but it would be interesting to see if either or both remove bacteria.
Another informative video! Thank you
Thank you for your support!!!!!!
Your amazing!!! You’re the best!!
Thank you very much! I appreciate your support!
Thanks for this!!!!❤ So informative
You are very welcome!
Hey, love your content. Please make more videos
Thank you!! Check out the rest of my channel I do have a bunch of videos!!! 😀
Thanks for the shoutouts in the comments, and for another fantastic video! Definitely interesting results, and it was nice seeing you do this test!
Thank you for your continued support!!
Thank you 🙏
You are very welcome!
Ooh! This is certainly interesting. I'm one of those people who just sprays and wipes (maybe wait a bit, but never the full recommend time, whether it's bleach or another product for sanitation)
I definitely think this could be a series for various popular cleaners and especially sanitizers.
I think you are right. I think most people spray and wipe and don't pay attention to sit time. I think I want to test this for Force of Nature since that is a 10 minute sit time! Thanks for watching!
Thank u 4 this ❤
You are very welcome! Thank you for watching!
Thanks!
Thank you very much for your support! I truly appreciate it!
I think the sink drain test could have had cross-contamination since you didn't bleach all parts that the rinse water came into contact with on its way to the drain. Otherwise great results. Thanks!
Thanks for your thoughts!!!
Thank you for doing this! I remember watching one of your other bleach videos and wondering how effective it would be when done this way. Now I know 😊
You are welcome! It was interesting to see no wait time!
Love this will use bleach more when cleaning
Thank you for watching and commenting!!!
Hey if you happen to come across this comment... can you kindly try undiluted bleach if possible or you can try diluting bleach without using any measurements, also can you try seventh generation disinfectant spray on soft surfaces since I saw that you tried the wipes already and finally try washing dirty cleaning cloths or clothes using hot water alone to see how effective hot water is in disinfecting clothes. Thanks!
I will add your suggestions to my viewer suggestion list! Thank you for watching and commenting!
Have you tried straight vodka?
I have not tried vodka yet, but most certainly will add that to my list!! Thanks for watching!
There could be bacteria in the RINSE water. I never rinse, I just spray and wipe.
We do have well water that we test periodically, and I bacteria test my water frequently, always negative. So I do not have bacteria in my water supply, if we did I would be very busy trying to fix that! Thanks for watching!
@@FieldOfFocuswow! I’ve always been curious about wells and well water!!!
Thank you for this, very beneficial. I would be curious to know how effective comet cleanser with bleach is when used in the toilet bowl. So if you're interested in making another video cleanser would be my request.
Hi there! I tested Comet in the Toilet Bowl in this video:

Could you re test seventh generation this way? I never wait the full amount of time for that either. 😅
AH no wait time! I feel like any product that has a long wait time, should be retested .. on my list!! Thanks for watching!
Years ago we were taught a 10:1 ratio with bleach for disinfection. hHave they made it stronger? 1 tsp bleach to 10 tsp water? I heard during COVID that people found different bleaches have different strengths/concentrations?
The best thing to do is read the label and follow those dilution instructions. Different brands might have different concentrations. Thanks for watching!
While bleach is a great disinfect, there are a lot of surfaces you shouldn’t use it on, including stainless! I only use it for my toilet. I’d like to see more testing done with rubbing alcohol. I make a solution with 50/50 water and alcohol and a few drops of Dawn. It makes everything very shiny and doesn’t leave any soap residue like the store bought cleaners. My bathroom fixtures and granite, especially.
Here are my videos on alcohol:

Can you test Melaleuca cleaning products? (Specifically the disinfectant, all purpose cleaner, and/or tub and tile cleaner)
I will put those on my viewer suggestion list!! Thanks for watching!
I'm very curious about using straight bleach (non-diluted) with no wait time.
I would guess that straight bleach with no wait time would do well, I just wouldn't suggest people use it straight since it is so caustic. Thanks for watching!
Can you do 409 please?
I will add that to my viewer suggestion list! Thank you for watching and commenting!
@@FieldOfFocuscan you also try bleach as a floor cleaner
Can you try thieves cleaner?
YES I will add that to my viewer suggestion list. Thanks for watching!
do a 3 min wait time
I will add it to my viewer suggestion list! Thank you!
I never rinse but I follow the chart bleach ratio. Do you think it still eliminates bacteria?
I would guess that the rinse is not impacting the bacteria removal but since they say to rinse, I rinse. Thanks for watching!
Yes, bleach solution still kills bacteria even if you don't rinse it off. Rinsing is recommended to avoid discoloration of tile, however.
Hello. Can you please do the hydrogen peroxide. Thank you 😊😊😊
Found your video of the peroxide ☺️☺️
Glad you found it!! Thank you for watching and commenting!
i wonder if this is all bleach or just clorox
I can will add other brands to my viewer suggestion list!
