I liked how some of the other pilots immediately spoke up and got Ryan's back at the end. Nice show of solidarity and support.
The best is the “better then everyone else attitude” immediately followed by the tower call on departure frequency 😂
Falcon-Douche. Checking in with tower on the wrong frequency......chef's kiss!
Absolutely perfect!
And he works there!!! Gotta love karma!😂
The type of arrogant pilot no one wants to fly with. Good work, Ryan!
So basically princess pilot is a full time controller and hobby pilot. Any professional pilot flying into the Phoenix area knows you just have to deal with turbulence the last few minutes of the flight and it's far worse in other places where you have more moisture and convective activity. If occasional moderate turbulence sends you into a lather, you should give up the side hustle and go back to your ergonomic chair in your air conditioned room.
The "I work there" line reminds me of when someone gets pulled over by the police and says "Do you know who I am?" or "Do you know who my father is?"
'I am a retired NYPD.'......... 'Sir it says here you have had a Florida drivers license for 41 years'.
my grandfather worked for your department back in 1956 for 1 year when you had 3 people on the roster! do you know who i am!
My BF is THE Kyle Smith!
Q: "Do you know who I am?"
A: No. Don't you know?
Q: "Do you know who my father is?"
A: No. Ask your mother if she does?
Why? If he works there, he works there and wouldnt need the number. How does that remind you of unrelated phrases used for different reasons?
Pilot got his !@$$ chewed when his boss found out what he had requested the tapes for.
Guy in the Falcon was a dick from the minute he came on the frequency. No excuse for that kind of rude behavior.
controller was being lazy and acting asleep up until he got called out.
@amg2022 😂😂 didnt take long for the incompetent pilot to show up 😂 go back to the meth pipe moron
"you're not the only airplane in the sky sir"........"Yeah....but, im the only one that looks good in a flight jacket". ...... ✈️
Lol
That pilot seems like a prick to me.
So does the controller
@@RetreadPhoto Good thing they're the same person.
@@RetreadPhotoI thought the controller was just fine.
@@jimsteinway695pompous tone, a good dose of sarcasm, a bit of combative and defensive attitude, and a little flippant to boot (“[then] turn left.” Sounds like he was eating lunch.
@@jimsteinway695 he was great with the pros, but a snot to the little guys.
He works there..........cleaning windows 😅
"Scottsdale tower is (119.9)"
*SMACK*
Falcon pilot works there? He must be a weather forecaster for him to be fussing over turbulence. Gawd.
We aviation meteorologists dgaf about any pilot stupidly flying thru posted turbulence.. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Ryan did just fine. Didn’t think quite so highly of the Falcon pilot.
They shall settle it with duel after touchdown.
😂😂😂
It;'s true.. I work at the airport and I witnessed the glove slap.
I must have flown in very "sheltered" airspace: this is the first corporate pilot who reflects the sociopathic, entitled attitude of those sitting behind him. The ones I've encountered were all nice guys with a healthy dose of contempt for the "you better not shake up my stirred martini during landings" set.
What is this guy, 10 years old? No business flying in a busy airspace.
29Y was a jerk from the minute he came on freq.
Hats off to Ryan's professionalism.
We all love you Ryan 💪❤️
"Ok, pull the tapes!" - pathetic
Can't we all just get along?
He’s an annoying pilot and he doubles as an annoying controller when he’s working in “there”.
Probably works at the fbo lol
@@lasagnapotato3853 exactly!
he is the local karen, covering the tower and the skies! lots of work
@@johndonovan7018 i’lll bet his motto is “Proudly annoying other pilots and controllers since 19XX”…
You mean, you used to work there…😮
I watched this several times over just to hear that burn at the end. Dude had to be the laughing-stock back at "work".
Sounds to me like a small guy thinks he is a big man in a small jet.😄
That pilot had an attitude from the start
I love how nonchalant some of these pilots are when they're dealing with the persons who are in charge of keeping all the aircraft in their Delta from crashing into the ground.
29Y is a whiney baby who needs to realize that it's not all about him.
Good thing "air rage" is extremely difficult😅
He flies his plane the way he drives his car. That doesn't work in the air. He shouldn't be flying any longer. What a fool!
I'm not a pilot and I don't work in aviation, but my perspective is that the pilot comes onto frequency and requests a path change, and then criticizes the controller for not changing his path sooner? Do I have that right? That sounds like me calling the gold course to request a specific tee time, and then when I arrive late blaming the golf pro because that tee time didn't fit in with my other plans for the day.
Exactly my idea.
Ole blud was bitching because the route he was on had his wagon wiggling too much.
Thank you Ryan for dealing with a jerk like a human!
what the pissing passing aggressive bullshit was all of this.... flying while petty. this pilot deserves SFO controllers! i wanna listen to that. its going to be a spectacle!
We don't call it Snottsdale for Nothing. 😅
I trained out of Scottsdale and worked for a couple years and there are some very entitled pilots around here.
"tower frequency is..." hahahahahahaa
Sense of entitlement is a dangerous thing, especially when it’s a false one.
29Y needs an attitude adjustment if he’s going to continue flying!
The pilot ws MUCH moe important than anyone else. " How to win friends and influence people."
Look pilots, if you wanna get flight following learn how to request it.
T6s aren't known for great phraseology understanding
t6 is some old boomer just flying around. and he is totally right to call in considering the likes of the falcon zooming around. he has had that experience before im sure
@@johndonovan7018you think there are a lot of boomers flying around in T6's? Do you know what a T6 is?
A T6 is a propeller driven military training aircraft for pilots to build proficiency to step up to training on fighter jets. Most T6 pilots are relatively young.
@@derekjeffords345 yes you moron. its from WW2 and now are used by old boomers. the t-6b II is the current trainer variant for the military, not the t-6 boomer texan from ww2. not to mention his dep and arrival airports which should have been your first clue in it's not a military aircraft in any shape and form in this video.
@@derekjeffords345 there's plenty of boomer t6 pilots. The North American Trainer's Association was at my airport the whole week before EAA practicing formation flights before going to Oshkosh and I'd say most of them were older fellas
What a disagreeable pilot - too much chatter and non compliance and not enough listening to the controller. The controller was professional and extremely tolerant - good job 👏👏👏
The controller didn’t have to sound so snotty, though, didn’t help matters.
@@RetreadPhotothe controller sounded snotty????? Sounds like you’re the douche pilot.
@@RetreadPhoto you might wanna play the video back, the controller wasn't being "snotty" he was being professional and precise. The pilot was being a complete knob.
@@RetreadPhotoyou again with your opinion about something you know nothing about. You always pick the wrong side it seems. That has to be on purpose by now.
@@elmodiddly of course he was. “Roger?… How can I help you?… What type of aircraft?… So, what altitude will you be going at, hmmm?” In the most bored voice he could muster. Was entirely his tone, prickly as hell. I prefer the ground, it avoids the huge egos and I can decline interacting with whoever I want.
A&P/IA
N1929Y is a little beeoch.
He must be fun to fly with!!
Both acted inappropriately and each wanted to have the last word. It was like hearing two 12 year old's arguing. Forget your egos and focus on safety.
Meow
So you're the one.
😼😾Fffft!
The inevitable battle of the egos. Relax, chill, lifes to short.
I think there was a pilot and a controller that were a little fussy. I would be too working and flying in an environment that can easily be compared to Hell...except the "valley of the Sun" is hotter. In lieu of having Satan there...they get to contend with my ex-wife.
The ATC is the boss. The pilots are the horse. You fly into his house, you say yes sir , no sir and thank you sir.
Unprofessional Pilot. These corporate guys are such prima donnas.
Ridiculous thing to say. Most corporate guys are fine and act professional. You have these types in Corporate as well as the airlines.
@rtbrtb_dutchy4183 I've flown both corporate and retired from the airlines. There are way more over inflated egos in the corporate world, way more.
@@pilotrtLOL, BS. Both have about the same. Actually, now that I think about it, the ones in corporate that have an over inflated ego, all come from the airlines.
@@rtbrtb_dutchy4183 Ok, you win.
@@pilotrt you missed the point if you thought it was about winning.
You can’t simply generalize a whole group. You got excellent pilots, average pilots and crappy pilots in both the airlines or corporate. And the percentages are pretty well the same for the airlines as for corporate.
I’ve seen prima Donnas from both groups.
I wish we could find out what eventually happened. When there's a phone call, is there normally a report to an authority or is it seldom?
What was the pilot issue anyways ? Is that late turn and ran into turbulences ?
Regards
JF
This is one of those for a change where they’re both in the wrong.
They aren't, the controller is in the right here. The pilot considers himself above criticism yet he forgot the first rule of being a PIC which is that the safety of the flight is the PILOT's responsibility, not the ATC. If the pilot really thought the situation was hazardous, all the had to do was deal with it and then communicate his intentions. Aviate, navigate, communicate. But no, he decided to be a jerk about it with ATC. Unacceptable and unsafe.
Always listen up
Pilot was a complete ARSE!
The controller is able to hear comms that other pilots are not. By virtue of a powerful base unit and a tuned antenna, the controller gets a VERY different picture than on of the dots on his radar scope.
Pilot should have not gotten lippy. ATC didn't earn it.
I have never liked the term... Cancelling IFR. Just stay IFR and fly the visual segment. Other that that if you need to return into the system you will have all the support from ATC you may need. A cocky pilot asking to pull the tapes and bullying ATC is unprofessional and uncalled for.
He did it to be able to fly what he needed to do for the arrival and to avoid the build ups that he was complaining about, without the need to make requests to ATC. That can be a stressful arrival either way bad weather and a tough and steep approach to runway 21. Done it many times in 3 different types of jets. He was a jerk though.
Both pilot and controller kept that exchange going for far too long. Accept it and get on with your business.
Apparently someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed. That got salty quick
DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM!!!!
What is it with Scottsdale?
You mean Snottsdale
@@alejandroquintanilla1031 out of all the high end places across the USA I have visited, Scottsdale ranks as the top most rude and negative attitude I have experienced.
Arizona, Texas, Florida, all the same mess of libertarian minded Teabaggers.
Maybe I’m stupid but 1) are you allowed to shoot an RNP approach while you’re VFR and 2) other than maybe training or making certain you’re going to the right runway (which you should be able to do visually anyway if you work there) why would you lol
Edit: I am stupid he says “right base” not RNP. All is well
Edit 2: sounds like the dude’s whole issue is not being given a vector in time for weather avoidance. Dude…you’re the PIC. Are you really saying you’d rather be a passenger princess and fly yourself into the weather that you can see that ATC can’t instead of, y’know, being a pilot and flying away from it and then giving them a reason for deviating after the fact? I get it’s not ideal but it’s much less ideal to truck into a thunderstorm just because you think you don’t have permission not to. Either he’s way overblowing just how badly they needed to turn for weather avoidance or he’s kind of outing himself as having really bad ADM needing someone to hold his hand when he is responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft
He just didn’t like all the back and forth chatter about flight following for VFR, because he felt special as IFR. He wanted to scream in as fast and quickly as possible and then get immediate service to brake like a shuttle reentering the atmosphere. And cried like a baby when he didn’t get his way.
You're not stupid. The transcript was wrong.
@@RetreadPhoto well no he said why he got triggered. he wanted to take a path to avoid turbulence and he was mad that because of the t6, controller took too long to get to him and he missed his ability to go the way he wanted. even if controller told him turbulence is all the way in the valley so he wasnt avoiding it either way. but at that point the falcon just wanted to unload on somebody and thats how it went. yall need to listen better
@@johndonovan7018the pilot is stupid anyway. You can't expect to escape Turbulence by deviating left or right. You can't see Turbulence, and it's not always uniform. There can be pockets scattered all around you. The best way to escape Turbulence is with an altitude change.
@@derekjeffords345 generally true but pilots do try it. he cant change alt as he is landing so he is thinking if he zigs around he will find areas of calm. he is just special
4-baritis....
When will you piss poor excuses for professional pilots get it through your thick heads that only the controller can initiate shortening or abbreviating your callsign ?
Normally I side with pilot on these, but this pilot was obnoxious. The controller was trying to do his job, and the pilot was tying up the channel for no need.
A question: I'm not a pilot and don't know much about ATC, but didn't the tower controller direct both aircraft to the exact same altitude (i.e., 7000 feet), and didn't the aircraft come pretty close to each other while flying in nearly opposite directions? (which would have made it difficult for them to see each other and maneuver to avoid a collision if they happened to be on a collision path).
the controller was stepped on while he was giving instructions to the smaller plane, but he requested at the highest 5,500 feet which would give enough vertical separation given both were remaining at the same altitude when they passed, so the fact that they passed over each other horizontally is acceptable.
the FAA requires at least 2,000 feet of vertical separation
@@ReskaoASMRSeparation can be as little as 500' vertically. IFR traffic is assigned altitudes at even thousands (eg, 5000' between 0 and 179°, 6000' between 180 and 359°), while VFR traffic will cruise at +500s (eg, 5500 on the 'east' half of the compass and 6500 on the west half).
@@ReskaoASMRno, it is 500 if one is VFR AND 1,000 if both are IFR.
@@WWPlaysHoldem thanks, i misread some part of the FAA guidelines when I was looking it up, so I read it again and I had a hard time understanding it so i will take y'alls word for it
The controller got on air a bit pissy. From the very beginning.
Listen to the guys' tone with LEP003, complacent and entitled. And notice LEP003 wasn't thanking Ryan when 9Y was griping.
There's no need to tell a pilot trying to aviate that, "there are other planes in the sky"
The controller seems to be think everyone should empathize with HIM.
ATC supports pilots, not the other way around.
I got 2 minutes in and gave up with both sides neglecting to IDENT on the radio. This is not how it works, fellas. Y'all should be FIRED.
Except for the pilot, everybody else did fine. Nobody needs to get fired.
@@rtbrtb_dutchy4183”can’t turn right, ok turn left then.” Yeh, he’s a real winner. Again you only defend the controller and attack the pilots. Zero impartiality from you, as usual.
@@RetreadPhoto I don’t attack the pilots. As a pilot, I usually side with pilots. But you can never see any fault with pilots. I’m not in denial when a pilot screws up.

Please stop these Headboard Harris ads on my feed…
Did he want them to hit each other ? unbelievable
There was a few thousand feet between them when they crosssed
As soon as the controller said “Reduce speed to two hundred and ten knots”, I knew he was a lazy, negligent, apathetic, controller. If he doesn’t care enough about his profession to learn the proper phraseology, he shouldn’t even be sitting at a scope.
The pilot was being cranky, but I thought the controller was being pretty unprofessional also. Ryan definitely seemed like he had to get the last word in, when he should have just let it go. For someone who was so busy, he sure had plenty of time to chirp the pilot.
Nothing lazy about it. And definitely not negligent or apathetic. Where do you even get this from?
@@rtbrtb_dutchy4183 a little thing called the 7110.65…he’s using more words to say it wrong.
@@rtbrtb_dutchy4183 I get it from the 7110.65. In case you didn’t know, that’s where the phraseology standards come from. This controller didn’t bother using them at all. He’s using a lot more words to say it wrong than it would take to say it right
@@clinthanrahan859 that’s what bothers you? Have you flown in busy airspace? When it’s busy, everybody uses the correct phraseology. But when it’s not extremely busy, stuff can get a little more relaxing. You can hear the pilot also using two ten and one ninety. Has nothing to do with being lazy or not.
Some pilots think their bosses money gives them license to be an asshole.
