    How can you tell if you've successfully tickled your amygdala?

      Good question. One way I immediately know is that I am smiling. Second way is the thing that had you in fright or flight mode doesn't any longer and you feel less tense. I don't just do it once however. It does take a little practice at first. It gives you a bit of a break from the hardness stressful feeling that you may have been wracking your brain with. Often times I will make just enough of a break in the old thought pattern to receive a different thought pattern and a solution is able to enter to my problem. Hope that helps 😍 Funny thing happened. I decided to make a short of this video today. Was thinking ugh now I have to go search through my videos to find it?! Which I didn't want to do. Tickled my amygdala and your question to the video I came here to search for was the first thing I saw logging into my account today. 😍😉

      I feel a wave of energy. Calming energy. But I feel it throughout my body. I stumbled across this as a kid and figured out a way to stimulate it. This sounds kray kray because it involves tickling yourself so yes, I'm aware how it sounds to tickle your skin to get your amygdala going but . ... Just barely and alowly brush the tiny hairs between your eyes. Use a feather if necessary. BARELY touch them. They will tingle. Do it long enough and you can continue that feeling with your brain. Then you'll eventually be able to just imagine the tickling and that will cause a tingle. Very different from anywhere else on your body. A massage feels great, for instance, but it doesn't cause the area between your eyes to buzz/tingle. I can do it at will and have been able to for most of my life. The wave is so strong that I've always wanted to be hooked up to a medical device that measure myoelectric activity because I feel like I could cause it to go beserk every time I initiate that "pulse". Anyway, that's how it works for me and I've had some success teaching others (girlfriends and also a sibling). Hope that helps.
