    This problem is a major power killer, and it is something most players find difficult to fix.

    Thank you for this video. I have this problem. Except the strange thing is that when i do a shadow swing my elbow is in the correct position and only when i try to hit a real ball does the elbow drop. Been trying to fix it for a year 😢

    A side view could be helpful on this one perhaps? I think players often try to mimic pros who appear to have low elbows from our usual higher view. Not realizing the elbow is quite high but it’s their shoulder tilt making the elbow look like it’s pointing down.

    A low elbow often correlates with the "Waiter's Tray Error" (*WTE*). A low elbow encourages going palm-up into the WTE. A widespread problem with club players. Djokovic also had a low elbow issue but I don't think he went into Waiter's Tray Error. Maybe he did. In any case, he was still able to serve 120 mph with a low elbow. But it is not an optimal technique and may lead to injury. He corrected it and his service became more consistent.
