My husband is 71 years old. He has been an alcoholic since he was 19 years old. And he has no problem with his liver. But I am so scared when this does happen to him he's not going to have a chance like you have. He smokes cigarettes. But I am glad to hear your story you are a nice young man. You and your family deserve the 🙏💒🙏

Thank you... I'm sorry to hear about your husband. Some people never have any problems. My grandfather smoked and drank until the day he died and he was in his late 80s. Never had a problem. Hopefully your husband never does as well. Thank you for the kind words, ma'am. God bless you and your family.

Hello. Thank you for watching my video. Unfortunately yes. In the US we have to pay for health insurance and all health care bills. For instance, most insurance companies have a deductible of let's say 5000 dollars out of pocket before they even cover anything. I feel really bad for people who don't have health insurance because they get stuck with the whole bill and they vmcan come after your assets if you don't pay and ruin your credit. I could go on and on about that subject. Thank you again... God bless

I am glad GOD delivered me from alcohol and smoking and self medicating. What you do affects everybody around you where ever you are. My daughter prayed for me that GOD give me another chance and JESUS took that addiction from me in one day. I didn’t go to rehab or counseling from people, it was GOD who did it. I tried for years to quit smoking and drinking (30 plus years) and my daughter prayed one day and I’m free from all that addiction

I have had cirrhosis for 40yrs and have refused medical treatment since the day l found out. I found out from a misdiagnosis by 2 drs a cardiolgist and an oncologist they said l had cancer and wanted to remove my spleen and other body parts, that is when l went to a county hospital and tested, No cancer but learned l have cirrhosis. 40yrs is a long time to have liver disease l had 2 brothers w/ the same problem only they went for treatment, one 2yrs younger and one 4yrs older both have died from cirrhosis. Myself l trust God knowing we all Die sooner or later, but that is in Gods Hands Not mine. I am Now 80yrs old and only go for an ultrasound every 6 mo's to check my liver to see if it has changed. Also l had Hep C and it just disappeared thanks to the Power of Gods Mercy. I was on hydromorphone for pain for approx 10yrs but l quit that without help from the pain dr Only because l believe in our Creator was l able to live all these years. AMEN. There is a living God or l would be Dead. Amen

I got my liver damaged by Hemochromatosis. My Ferritin was 4580. I’ve been sober 23 years. I’m 63 years old now. 5 years ago I was diagnosed with Hemochromatosis. I’ve been taking choline & milk thistle and I’ve pretty much reversed my liver fibrosis. And good thing I did because in 2022 I required my aortic valve to be replaced. I had a 5mm hole in it. I basically had a hole in my heart and blood was regurgitating. Stay strong. Stay clean and everything will work out.

Thanks man! You know as a fellow chef how hard that life is.... and everyone drinks. It was everyday at work. Whenever the wine rep came in the f and b manager came and got me and I "tasted" 20 wines. Anytime I had to come up with any menu, of course we have to pair wine with each course and how would I know what I'm pairing it with unless I'm tasting each wine. Oh.... not to mention, hey bar manager.... I need that bottle of stoli for my "vodka" sauce... just move it over to food. Maybe a splash went in....! Cooking brandy, cooking wine boghe red and white. Anytime I needed bourbon for a sauce..... I drank everyday and everything. I thought that getting out would solve my problems. I spent 26 years in f and b. Was super successful! I left, nothing changed other than I drank MORE!!!! Sorry to rant. I just know that you know what it's like. It's impossible almost to be sober in that field. God bless man! I wish you all the luck in the world! Congratulations on your 7 days man, if you are still a chef and doing that.... props to you brother... you are my hero!

I was addicted to alcohol and smoking for about 20 years. I developed cirrhosis of the liver and some of the issues that go with it. I thank GOD my daughter Joy prayed for me to GOD to heal me and give me another chance to live, and GOD did what she and me asked. I had been trying to quit smoking and drinking for years and I would stop for a couple of weeks and start back. This time with her praying and me praying too, I quit that same week. It has been one year since the prayers to GOD in the name of Jesus and I have not drank or smoked anything. I’m dealing with the cirrhosis now but it’s not too bad, I’m able to function and live pretty normal. I still get tests done and I thank GOD I’m still here.

Thank you for sharing your story with us. This really hits home. You're positively influencing so many of us. Would you ever make a video talking about the progression and quantity (and also type) of your drinking as it progressed over the years (or was it always constant heavy drinking of say 6+ drinks a night)? Also maybe also whether you exercised and ate healthy for all those drinking years/took any herbs or anything to try to "negate" the damage of alcohol (oh how our alcoholic brains work lol). Thanks.

Thank you for sharing your story. I lost a good friend of mine from alcoholism this past June. He was 39 years old, two kids, very charming and handsome and intelligent. Had an extremely high IQ, but he began to have cognitive challenges, swelled up like a balloon, and was found dead in his car, which he had been living out of, due to being almost 40 and not holding a job, and having to live off of his parents and various women. The man had the intelligence ability of a doctor, or lawyer, but allowed his life to slip into total degeneracy due to not being able to get a grip on the extreme alcohol abuse. Addiction is a terrifying thing, and destroy so many lives. And when you take that first drink as a teenager, because you wanna be cool, just like cigarette smoking, you never know if you’re going to be a person who ends up addicted. I miss my friend every second of every day. When you die suddenly, it’s even worse, because, even though everyone may know you’re not going to have longevity, sometimes you die out of the blue, and it leaves family and friends and terrible pain. Very hard to get closure. God bless you, and I pray that you have a wonderful next half of life.from what I understand, overcoming addiction is one of the hardest things a person will undertake.

Hello, and thank you for watching. I appreciate the comment. I'm so sorry for your loss. It happens to so many of us. The deeper you spiral I to your addiction, the more depressed you become. You feel like there is just no hope in sight. I was lucky and was able to stop. I know how hard it can be... the constant nagging feeling of I need to drink to feel better, your anxiety get out of control. I remember my anxiety got so bad that I would be scared to drive, especially get into a left turning lane at a light. I would feel like I was goi.g to pass out. I took backroads everywhere I went. God bless you, and stay tuned. I hope that you get some closure soon.

@@liverdisease-qb6rk thank you for responding. Also, don’t worry about what the negative Nellies have to say. I just wish my friend would’ve discovered your channel so he could realize how bad it was going to get. Then again, he had liver failure twice, and would go a couple of weeks without drinking, but always go back to drinking. he was starting to get alcoholic neuropathy, and was having severe stomach pain. I’ve been talking to his ex-girlfriend, and she told me things that were just heartbreaking. It’s too late for him, as his time on earth is up, but maybe if more people see things like this,. Blowing alcoholism off.anyway, merry Christmas, and happy new year to you and your family, and I wish you a long, and more importantly, productive and happy life. My wife tries to help me, but it just has to run its course. All the pancreas problems I have.... chronic pancreatitis, cause me tons of gi problems. I wish I would have known what was in the future for me if I kept drinking. I'm paying for it now 10 fold. It's just NOT WORTH IT!!!!!! @@liverdisease-qb6rk I believe he is in a much better place. This is not an easy world to live in, and it’s filled with temptation at every corner. He died in his car, and they said it was a heat stroke, and a heart attack. Hindsight is 2020, and it would be so much easier if we could all realize future consequences. Then again, if that were the case, life would be boring, and if we all knew what was going to happen at every turn in life, there be no pointin anything. Anyway, have a great weekend.

I never went to work drunk or hungover. I am what they call "a high functioning alcoholic'. Every bender was well thought out. It was a nightmare towards the end. I was in and out of A.A for 7 years, but it didn't stop me drinking. What stopped me drinking was a spitual experience. I walked away from my life and ended up in a new town. I got off the bus and was drawn to a Salvation army church. They got me clean, and that was 2 and a half decades ago. I find Xmas difficult cos there is booze and drunk people everywhere. @liverdisease-qb6rk  9 месяцев назад +4

That's a very touchy subject. In one aspect yes I do agree with you. On the other hand, I don't. Readon being, this is a free country. I think that everyone should have the right to do or put in their body whatever they want. It's not up to big government to tell us what we can and cannot do with our own bodies. I think alcohol is nothing but poison and I wish that it didn't even exist, but it does. Anytime that something is made illegal, it creates a black market and causes more problems. Look at prohibition in the early 1900s, it created a whole Era of bootleggers and organized crime. Alcohol is way too easy to make at home with just a little bit of knowledge. Many people died due to alcohol poison and o host of other reasons because of the black market. Take a look at the pain killer epidemic that has taken the USA by storm. They pushed them on people and they got addicted and then tightened down the grip on them and made them almost impossible for people to get, so people went to the streets for them and now we have a major problem with fentynal in this country. The cartels are making a killing "literally ". That's just my two cents. I do agree that it's just horrible stuff. Stay tuned, God bless, and thank you for your comment.

I don't know how this popped up in my recommended, but it must be by divine intervention.
I'm sorry you're going through this especially bc you're so young sweetheart.
    The liver is amazing though.
I just have a quick question as my 31 yo son, who's not much of a drinker, has never smoked, & he's a pretty healthy eater too, however he was just diagnosed w/severe acute fatty liver disease. At 31!!
I work in the medical field so he's working on his diet even more now than usual & I'm helping him as much as I can per my knowledge.
Although, I'm more towards homeopathic methods of treatment and vs allopathic "medicine". As is my son thank God. Just getting him to take an aspirin for his migraines was always a task.
But, especially in the past 10 years as allopathic medicine has been corrupted & compromised immensely homeopathic is an option to start with anyway as you never know. Perhaps big pharma isn't always correct, right?!
Allopathic medicine has solely become all about the Benjamins now.🤑🤑🤑🤑 Hence, why many are leaving their careers.
My question to you is & bc I'm new here & don't know your history off-hand, do you & have you already discussed a cause of your liver disease? Have you had a past w/drugs & /or alcohol? (No judgement as I've been clean & sober myself since 2008).
Also, (most importantly for my own long-going research) have you been vaxxed in the past 2+years?
I'd appreciate your response in advance so I know how to best help my son who is also my only child.
I'll pray for you as I'll be praying for my son, naturally.
My heart breaks for you Darlin😔💔😢.
So many are praying &here for you! Thank you for sharing your struggle. Stay strong & keep fighting. I'm fighting for you as well!😘❤️
Godspeed to you & your loved ones.🙏
    Much Peace🕊️

Thank you so much for the comment and questions. If you go to my channel, the first video explains what happened. It would be a lot to put here. I am an alcholic, drugs were not really my thing. I've tried them, but booze just grabbed me. I drank heavily for a decade, drank all my life from a young age though. I'm 44 now. I drank for at least 30 years. I started young. I haven't been vaxxed... I don't believe in it. Just don't, sorry to all those who do, it's my body and my opinion. Everyone has the right to decide what they do with their own bodies. I haven't gotten covid, I don't get sick often other than related to my my disease. I do stick to a rather strict diet, I have eaten healthy my whole life. I was vegetarian for a decade and have always eaten tons of fresh vegetables and fruits. I hope things get better for your son. I believe that fatty liver is reversible right? I know that the damage that I did isn't. The scar tissue is there for good. I hope this helps. I'll prat for your son. Please stay tuned. God bless

@@liverdisease-qb6rk Oh you are welcome my friend!
And thank YOU so much for taking the time to respond.
I'm so sorry about what you're going through. I can relate as I've been sober & clean from opiates since Aug, 6th,'09.
I found it a divine message that I had literally just found out from my son about his diagnosis, (naturally I'm worried), so I came home, & this video popped up.
Now I understand your story more. I come from a long line of alcoholics on both sides, mom's side (not so much my mom) & dad & his whole side, so imagine my relief when my son wasn't into drinking once he was in his hs years & beyond. Only to now have a liver issue anyway.
As I stated I am in the medical field so, yes thank God, I'm aware of the liver repairing itself. And it seems as if he's still at a point that's possible. He's gotten a great book & is doing very well following that plan for liver repair.
However, I've also done my own extensive research on the "tea" the government has been pushing. My 81 yo mom, who I care for, as well as myself are in lockstep w/you. No way on that gene therapy. I was on the research quest the second I heard about covid in Dec 2019.
My son was also on the same page as his gram & I, but his fiance was all for it bc it was 'the big thing of the moment'. Trendy. Think, profile banners on sm to match the ever changing causes.
So he was texting me & calling me on & off all day trying to figure out how to tell her he didn't want to do it. He caved & did it anyways. Sure I was upset, but it's his life. There's just so much that could go wrong w/that as we've now seen.
My ex hubby (my sons dad), & his brother both have uncontrolled afib.
The jabbo not only affects the heart, as we all now know, but it also has quite an impact on the liver as well. Hence why I asked if you were a 'tea' recipient. Sorry for the over explaining, but I'm so greatful you reached out. You're an awesome man & I'm happy your channel found me!!
I will continue to follow you & your story.😘❤️
Most of all, I will keep you in my prayers.🙏God bless you & yours & Much Peace🕊️
      🎀🎄Merry Christmas!🎄🎀

I'm sorry to hear about your problems and I hope the doctors can improve things for you. Since you seem to be very open, do you mind if I ask you something to provide a little more context? Since you're pretty young and my understanding is that liver problems from alcohol can take decades to manifest, what level of alcoholism did you have? Like were you drinking the equivalent of 10 alcoholic drinks per day or more? I'm asking as I've read that it takes decades for the liver to become scarred enough to malfunction.

Praying for you. You are an inspiration to me. Can you share what you eat? I have cirrhosis from NAFLD. I think I got it from taking too much antacid medication and drinking too much soda all my life. My doctor recommended a mediterranean diet. What have you tried that is tolerable? Hope you have success on all your upcoming surgeries. Sending love to you and your family and prayiing the Lord will take care of you.

Thank you for the prayers! That means so much for you to say that I am an inspiration. I am just a regular guy, nothing special about me at all.... never would have thought I would influence so many. I eat a lot of fresh veggies, fruit, and lean protein. I don't eat any rice, potatoes, starchy foods at all. I stay away from fat at the moment, natural peanut butter... I love peanut butter, I have really developed a sweet tooth since quitting drinking. I have to be careful because that's my weakness now. Apples are my go to fruit, and grapes. I know they aren't the best for you because of the glycemic value, but you know, it's way better than what I used to ingest. I drink 2 muscle milk a day and make a protein shake with 1 scoop of protein powder, lemon juice from half a lemon, 1 tbsp of acv, kefir, and sea salt. I fill in the gaps with the fruit and lean protein. I also eat a lot of jello and sugar free pudding. I will adjust my diet when I can handle more solid foods. I just have a very sensitive pancreas at the moment. I unfortunately ate too much on Thanksgiving, just a plate of food and suffered greatly for it for two days. I was up at 3 am crying the night of because my stomach hurt so bad. I lost control and just really wanted to eat the food because it was so good. Thank you, stay tuned and God bless.

Keep up your videos because addiction is no joke and it is super hard to get sober. If it wasn’t for my faith and my diagnosis, I would be dead. Jesus loves us so much. We have to be still and listen.

Thank you for the positive comment. It really is so hard to get sober. I don't think I would have ever quit either if I hadn't of almost died. @liverdisease-qb6rk I'm 55 and drank since I was 18 in the army. My liver was fatty, pre diabetic, over weight and one foot in the grave. I finally said enough after a long talk with God about it. From 349 pounds to 283 so far, A1C from 5.9 to 5.1 and many other benefits. My favorite is not being hung over on Sunday mornings and able to go to church. There's life outside of drinking, a much better life.
