- Hi everyone today's video will be another skincare trial for acne. I will be testing out cerave products including the foaming cleanser, the hydrating cleanser and the daily moisturizer. I will also be using the Neutrogena spf 50 zinc facial sunscreen. I will be using these products for a whole month to see how my skin changes. Enjoy!

I've learned from Dr. Dray that applying ur moisturizer on wet skin (right after cleanser), makes it much more effective! :)

@@LaviniaRusanda Yeah! Damp skin absorbs the product much better. It gives the moisturizer the chance to lock in that hydration

Yeah I started using my moisturizer like that too... it spread alot easier and u dont need alot

I recommend foaming it in your hands with water cos that makes it foam more
I actually prefer putting in on dry face and massaging (you do end up using more product that way though), then adding water and foaming it up and it does such an amazing deep clean without stripping the skin!

Hi!! I just bought a bunch of the Cerave products to start using. I found that the hydrating cleanser felt good but didn’t feel like it got off all the funk from my face. I used the foaming cleanser and felt like it got off all the funk but that it was too drying..... so I just mix the two of them together and it makes it perfect!!!! I am loving their products!!

@@kassd7169 I used the foaming cleanser for one and a half months and it was great as a basic cleanser for those who wants just want to keep their face clean. But if you're looking for something that will control you're acne I don't recommend this product as it doesn't really do much for your pimples. I would suggest using the sa cleanser for acne-prone skin and for dry skin use the hydrating cleanser instead.

Yesss. I started using cerave after Watching Dr Dray video. I would never use any other brand. The cerave saved my skin. Also I use the nuetrogena sheer zinc

Thank you for this! This is super helpful. If you try any more products from Cerave or The Ordinary, I would love to see how it works for you. The Cerave spf face lotion I wouldn't recommend btw, it had an insane white cast that you can't rub in, but I heard the AM one with spf is good. Curious to see if you like that one.

I know that maybe this is now my place to Say but I think it is really important that if you wear make-up or sunscreen to use a doble cleanse routine, because the first cleanse will break your make-up and sunscreen and the Next will really cleanse your skin. Also I have seen in the comments people recomending vitamin C which is really good but if you have acne it may cause breakouts

your skin looks beautiful!! you should also try out the benzoyl peroxide cleanser from cerave, i heard great things abt it and unlike the salicylic acid one it's very gentle and non-foaming :)
I use the acne foaming cleanser with benzoyl peroxide and my skin is wayyyyyy better!!

CeraVe broke me up . Are you sure that cleanser doesn't cause those breakups?. The moisturizer gave acne too. I'm sure cause when I stopped the use of them my skin was a lot better

It seems like you don't use enough lotion and spf, and I would also recommend wetting your face and lathering the cleanser between your hands before cleansing your face.

Hey girly! I received my products and have been testing them out :) I’m currently purging rn and trusting the process I still would like to get my hands on the cerave sa cleanser whenever it’s not sold out lol
I would recommend for you to use the purito comfy water sunblock it’s also spf 50 and does not leave a white cast :) and it’s a physical sunscreen not a chemical one which is safer for the environment

@@miguelrivera7294 it's when your skin reacts to a new product. Lots of people get a new wave of acne or other issues due a new ingredient or something.

The foaming cleanser is just way too drying, I’d say it’s better for either summer months, or someone with actual oily skin. If you’re dry and sensitive it might not be the best option but I like the hydrating one the best :)

Try purito centelo green spf(15$ on Amazon), its super lightweight, won't break you out, and has no white cast at all.

How do you apply the moisturizer is it only/always after cleansing and while your face is wet or dry. Also how many times a day should one be cleansing, exfoliate, and moisturize ?
For your scars you can use Mederma Scar Gel, make sure you get the gel, it helps so much with scarring
Im just going to say this: The sunscreen is what cleared you up, girl. Not the cerave, not the moisturizer.

Cera Ve cleanser + facial cream from La Roche posay, called Effaclear duo.. it has worked MAGIC..
I had for YEARS troubble finding an effective cleanser & cream, bcs I have really thin & sensitive skin.. but this combo has saved my skin in my face from being nothing but scartissue..
which one would you recommend? the moisturizing lotion or cream ? I have really dry skin and I know people recommend the mosturizing cream for really dry skin but I don’t want it to make my skin too oily

Noooo not cerave. Yes they are a good product but they’re r also a lot of good products out there that don’t test on animals. I used to be a cerave fan until I found out they tested on animals I hope this may change ur mind on it? Some brands that do not test on animals that r also as good are

if you have acne the best choice would be salicylic acid cleanser or benzoyl peroxide cleanser (both from cerave) since they contain active ingredients that can help you with this problem. you can also switch it out with the foaming cleanser (actives at night) but i wouldn't recommend the hydrating one to someone with acne
I didn't like the SA cleanser, I've started using the foaming one and my skin is a lot better. Hope it helps💜

and differin and my skin was very dry and cracked. I bought the hydrating foam to cream cleanser and I'm using the face lotion (am and pm) with sunscreen and it's helping with the dryness.

I use the hydrating cream to foam cleanser around my eyes. It has a mascara wand on the front and it says it removes makeup. I use it to take mascara off. Is that okay for my eyes?

I used the moisturizer twice daily and alternated the cleansers depending on if I wore makeup that day (hydrating cleanser in the morning / if I didn’t need to remove excess makeup) (foaming for night/ after wearing makeup)!

Hey! Don't you double cleanse? Does the sunscreen goes off with the cleanser? Hyram taught that we should do double cleanse..though i haven’t started yet.. Please do tell me about this... The sunscreen can breakout even more if we Don't double cleanse..
Double cleansing is when you have makeup on, the first cleanse you use a oil cleanser to remove your makeup then the second cleansing you use your normal facial cleanser. You don’t double cleanse when you don’t have makeup, you’ll be stripping your skin off
@@preciousijeoma9124 but we apply sunscreen . Sunscreen Doesn't dissolve by Normal cleanser.. Dr dray even hyram told that double,cleanse is necessary even if we apply only sunscreen.

I use it. Both in the morning and night, works wonder especially for people with combination or oily skin:) but not so great for people with dry skin because it’s too lightweight. Also the PM moisturizer contains niacinamide unlike the other CeraVe moisturizers
