This same thing is happening to all Ford Fiestas. I was not able to remove mine without damaging the fuse box. Now I drive around with my high beams on all the time. Ford should have a recall on this.

Relays and fuse box should be behind a panel inside the car, not in the engine bay where it can be weathered and corroded. Stupid desigfn by ford engineers - they need a good kicking. I hope this fixes my car. I don't know because I have run out of light and my multimeter needs a new battery.
