The Color Chips UI looks literally like a Drumpad. And knowing the musical influence in Splatoon I don't think that's a coincidence.
I like the idea of all being bleached out, like corals. But specially knowing how Marina is both a "evil genius" level octarian, and her last words were if she had to make sure everything stayed the same.
So, like keeping the Inkopolis Square in a snow globe scenario.
