Went here on a Stag night and it was awesome. Some of the best food I have ever eaten. I was very drunk at the time but I could taste that food for days afterward.
Fantastic stuff. I come from Birmingham and it is great to see someone from outside side of the area showing my city in a good light. We are very proud of our curry heritage here and in addition to the Balti the Phaal also originated here.
When I saw the name of the restaurant in the description I knew I recognised it, I stayed in Jury’s whilst working in Birmingham in 2014, popped downstairs and ate there, absolutely fantastic and not had better anywhere since.
As a curryholic I'm intrigued to know why there is never anyone in these restaurants that you visit. if your visit is arranged, then you are going to get something special! As a former reporter for the "Curry Club" we never announced that we were visiting which I think gave a more accurate revue!
Can’t believe I’ve only just seen this! Oh my goodness Pushkar is seriously one of the best ❤️ As a food blogger I was asked to review Pushkar a while back and we absolutely loved it - it’s top class, or as Darren John would say it’s off the charts! 😂 Although the Pondicherry in Ironbridge, Telford is on par in my opinion - just saying. Great video Lee.
😊 In this videos Lee,you are so informative and fresh looking, the Indian did not look so good, l rather serve the meal in bowls, not on a platee, but they are a good Indian thou, anyway great vlog Lee many thanks Richard and Tanya from Southampton ❤
cheers for upload my friend. However, going to a top Indian restaurant and ordering chicken tikka masala is like going to a top french restaurant and ordering chips. Glad you enjoyed though
To eat a real curry it’s a must to eat with your hands never a knife n fork. The naan or roti is your knife n fork rip a bit and scope up then you’ll get a full mouthful of flavour
i wouldn´t bother with this place, its obviously a bit on the pricey side, and tiny portions. Me personally i tend to go to Diwans balsall heath!! i have been going there for over 35 years, now i live abroad, i cant go. But i´ll be back in brum early nov 2022, so will have to pay them a visit.
Tried this restaurant when it opened. Really good. I was sat next to that annoying pillar at the front. We are so luck as Indian food generally has been re-invented the past few years , Greta news for diners. !!! If you stay near hockey Heath the miller and carter there is well worth a visit.
Not enough curry to go with the rice.Looked like a starter when the chicken was brought to the table and it looked a little on the dry side for my taste.I would expect a bigger portion of chicken for the money. I'm sure the taste and flavours were first class.
Hi sir this is chef Rintu from India if there are any vacancy for Indian an tandoor cuisine please let me know because I have lot's of interesting in United kingdom....thank you....
Would have been good if you had called out the tastes you were experiencing, name drop some of the spices, and to be fair a chicken tikka masala isn’t a hard dish to make, would have been good to have a review of some of the chefs specialities
You could argue that the hardest thing to do is make something simple, special and this is what is shown in the video. It was a fantastic review of one of the most popular dishes in the world.
Balti was not invented in Birmingham get your facts right balti is a authentic dish that’s been taken from Pakistan cooking culture it’s a Pakistan dish not Birmingham
Incorrect my friend. The Balti was invented in Birmingham during the 1970s, when the city's Pakistani residents created a fusion dish inspired by traditional Kashmiri recipes but cooked in a way that was more appealing to western tastes
Here's a link to it in Time Out as well. So get your facts right my friend. www.timeout.com/birmingham/blog/birmingham-becomes-official-home-of-the-balti-curry-072915
Iv'e said the same thing before, he ruins his videos with pointless music trying to be too fancy. It's such a shame because he's a nice guy and i like his videos, but when they wasn't flooded with silly music and editing. It's ruined his channel.
Nice food in this restaurant.
Went here on a Stag night and it was awesome. Some of the best food I have ever eaten. I was very drunk at the time but I could taste that food for days afterward.

"Super excited" on intro tut tut 😂😂
As an Indian It is surprising to see Parsley as a garnish to Chicken tikka Masala🤭. I wonder how authentic is this restaurant.
Was thinking the same thing ?
should it have been corriander?
Yes. Parsley is no used in indian cusine
When I saw the name of the restaurant in the description I knew I recognised it, I stayed in Jury’s whilst working in Birmingham in 2014, popped downstairs and ate there, absolutely fantastic and not had better anywhere since.

It's a different kind of food buddy. More Bengal than Indian. It's fast easy food but it's the UKs favourite food.
I've always wanted to know how they get chicken so tender
Nice curry
Nice dish in this restaurant.

I'm sorry but even people from India don't listen to music like this, its very annoying kills the whole mood of watching.
Sorry had to say it

Pushkar is definitely not the best Indian in Birmingham. Maybe the best you have tried in Birmingham, but not the best. Not even close.
