The day in the life of a small business owner!
Hi! I just found you! Thank you for being so real and transparent. As a small business myself I have a hard time and always compare my numbers to bigger small businesses or other types of small businesses that I shouldn’t compare so much that it makes me feel like I’m not doing good. The scale of their business compared to mine aren’t always the same and I have to remind myself that 1.) I need to be more active on social media and 2.) need to just focus on my own numbers and goals and not wish I was like the other businesses I follow. Everyone starts somewhere right?? Glad you made your booth and AirBNB expenses back!
Thank you so much for being real and showing the not so great times of being a small business owner ❤ I feel that I am in a similar spot with my business to you and your lovely business and its nice to know that I'm not alone going through the slower markets and the scary "I haven't had a sale in a little while " thoughts. So just wanted to say a little thank you and I appreciate you sharing your experiences on here! (Your booth setup was beautiful by the way!❤)
I had a friend here in Ohio do a unique market a few months ago & she was super underwhelmed. She also said foot traffic was low & just not what she was expecting. Next weekend will be your best sales weekend ever. I’m manifesting it!!! 🥳

I've only ever attended Unique Markets Portland event in the winter time, and it's usually crazy busy. I honestly had no idea they even did a spring version. Sorry to hear it was such a flop! Hope things go better for you in the future.

16:48: Hey, there. I am new to pop-up events. Does anyone know the fee for this event? What is the average rate for a two-day event in this area?
This one was INSANLY HIGH like the highest I have ever paid I think it was $550. I wouldn't recommend this one to someone starting out or really anyone it was way too high and not enough foot traffic for how much they said it would be well attended. I've done several events that are 2 days for way way less. Prices vary depending on the event type but I've done events from Free to this one being my highest. Good luck on your market and business journey!
