Just watched last night. They really don’t make gangster movies like this anymore fr.. this scene was PEAK ASF. At the funeral of a police officer too?? Killing another one in a smooth drive by just like that?? Not saying they didn’t deserve it, but holy sh*t.. that was sum stellar writing/acting.. I’ll never understand why Hollywood doesn’t keep making films like this.. they hit so different man.. I was hooked from the opening scene alone.
Yeah hypocrites with attitudes gettng what they deserved. Frank was doing illegal things, but all the violence was between gangsters. These cops deciding they were somehow doing justice by going rogue and murdering people makes them just as bad as the people they claimed to be killing for the "greater good"

He got Wesley Snipes and a couple of other cops killed because he convinced them that they should just kill Frank White. By taking out Caruso he was essentially taking out the garbage. He didn't deserve retaliation from the other cops because he'd been reduced to a criminal.

Me and my Nana used to love sitting in on a Sunday afternoon, after our roast chicken dinner, get toked up on some prime buds, and watch this movie and Scarface or carlito's way. You couldn't take your eyes off her tho because she'd pack a load of kiff dust in the pepper shaker for extra laugh, an hour after dinner you could barely walk. Damn I miss you Nana Moo. He wanted them to have really good healthcare by doing that he wanted to put alot of money to fund the place and he cared about the poor and he wanted to keep it open for those who desperately needing it. He then wanted to rebuild it and then he then rebuilt it and it was great. Even tho he played a crime leader he still heart for the city of new York and wanted to make sure they had hospitals.

As a kid we loved this movie. Strong characters and memorable lines. My favorite was: "From now on, nothing goes down unless I'm involved. No blackjack, no dope deals, no nothing. A nickel bag gets sold in the park, I want in. You guys got fat while everybody starved on the street. Now it's my turn." Also, keep forgetting Steve Buscemi was in this movie - legendary. Not to mention Schooly D's "Am I Black Enough For You" playing in the background during the party scene.
@@jamiehartley4218 It was a cult classic. Like Scarface. Usually movies like Scarface or Terminator were more or less designed for entertainment purposes. The thing I loved about this movie, and Carlito's Way was the main antagonist actually the protagonist. We (my friends and I) used to root for the bad guy, but in this case the "bad guy" was actually trying to do good, but doing it in an illegal fashion. The only effective way they knew how. Gotta love a feel good movie with the normal violence that society has become desensitized to. Like a cautionary tale where no one really wins.

Guilt from the fact that he caused two of his close friends to die all because he wanted to be a renegade crooked cop that broke the rules just so he could take down Frank and his crew. And it didn’t matter if he had left now or later because Frank was in the limo watching him the whole time waiting for him to get in his car. Another thing you missed is that I wouldn’t say he was in “panic mode” he was just really upset that his car is a piece of shit and he has to struggle just to get it to start.
He was going after Frank,he was so enraged from losing his two partners that Frank was the only thing on his mind..when his car wouldn't start that just put icing on the cake so he had a whole episode before the detachment of his face..
