No. There are clear boundaries of superstates, it's just that most people don't know about a few(notably people don't know the boundaries of Indonesia/Caliphate). You end up with greater North America, Eurasia(EU+Soviet), Pan-Asian combine, the Caliphate, India, Indonesia, the Zulu nation, and a couple of South American consolidations. Only NA, Eurasia, Pan-Asia, the Caliphate, and India are true superstates by population/wealth. Remember, each federation has a "leader". EU needs FRANCE to get a claim on things to annex them, England having claim on Australia/Canada won't work if England has been annexed into the EU already. There's a few special ones, notably Indonesia(If the caliphate annexes Indonesia, it splits off Java which has claim on Austranesia as "Indonesia". It changes it's name back to "Indonesia" once it starts annexing territory).
I have loved the series so far, but what I kind of really want is a guide on how each of the stats on the countries is derived. And other information that has been made ambiguous, like crew costs. And the ship design is rather complex, so going through a bunch of techs and talking pros and cons would be nice.
Perun, one thing about ship designs I noticed in my game, the Cruiser Ship Model is surely better than the Monitor model, the number of utility slots together with with almost the same weight as a Monitor, and the possibility of having a Gun that s not going out of ammo after the first round allow it to do continuous damage for a cheap price. For example, I add 2 lancehead missile launchers and instead of 1 magazine, I add 2 magazine utility slots, so the cruisers keep throwing missiles on the enemies for far longer than the monitors do. If it s a laser Cruiser, you can have 2 laser engines easily, the utility help a lot, I even prefer the cruiser over the Battleship itself. My fleet is most Cruisers, Dreadnoughts and Titans which are the ships with more utility slots.
If I can make a request, please make a design for a torpedo boat fleet. A bunch of small and agile ships that mix nukes with regular missiles for saturating defences. The aliens stranded a mothership in leo on my save and I've been trialing nuke bombing runs on it. The concept itself is fun although I haven't been able to saturate it's defences yet. Last run Oppenheimers Legacy made consisted of 8 corvettes with 2xnuketubes and a magazine. That didn't really threaten it yet, but did make it really work for it. Next run will add 4 (maybe 8) conventional missile boats to help with saturating their defences. Would love to see your design/execution of a bombing run.
Taking out servants and protectorates to reset their level good at bringing them down, but since most of your councilors are also high in administration, have you consider using hostile takeover to rob them of all their valuable orgs, just to weaken them further? Taking their expensive admin orgs can properly slow their rebuilding attempt down a lot. I had a game where a alien went to my region, and while i did not have the espionage to kill it initially, i did have the admin to rob it blind of all its orgs. That is also where i found you could investigate councilor to build up +5 intel on target, to make the assassinate and hostile takeover easier.
For breaking factions out of China, I found that having two counselors machinegunning out Increase Unrest missions until there's a coup works pretty well. A lot easier than trying to increase public opinion and then do the crackdown/purge/protect interests combo.
I can't tell you how surprising it is to see a positive economy at this stage of the game. When you're first scrambling fleets to oppose the alien threat, it feels like your resources are gone overnight and you'll need a long stretch of rebuilding to get back into action. But here? Pump them out until xeno scum is drowning in bodies.
Humanity First moment: Casually almost committing an atrocity against filthy xenos collaborators and stopping only because you have the marines ready kill them in a "regular" way.
Hey Perun i was wondering if you can add India to the commonwealth cause merging two of you're current super powers and possibly being able to merge three or four into one with India UK and Eu into the Eurasian Union would free up you control points to where you might even be able to take China From the protectorate or another large nation.

As in engage them with a throw away ship on their way back to base, something one-way with armour and manoeuvrability but no real weapons to save weight. Then run circles around them for as long as possible until the alien fleet wasted enoug delta v to no longer be able to get back?
The space combat is something else will take me a year to understand the rudimementally of it, the devs should really be applauded they did a great job.
Man the way you play this game,is awasome
atleast your country IS in the game :(
they mixed mine up into a new one with some others
also, you said it right the first time when talking about that "Willem de Zwijger" base :)
Perun channeling Jackie Fisher in his battleship/battlecruiser designs and strategy.
Fast enough to catch targets and big enough guns to blow them away
This series has helped me immensely with my third attempt at a successful Resistance run, with the previous two being scuttled by my lack of knowledge and poor prioritization. Max and Friends give me hope for humanity, and I won't stop watching this series until every alien ship is destroyed!
Another great episode can't wait for the next, learning so much watching can't wait until I feel like I've learnt enough to not get frustrated
Love it. “I’m spending all my money on space lasers and I don’t feel like apologizing about it”. Awesome!!!!
Thanks for the quick upload.
Cant wait to see how you face the mothership fleet.
Hopefully, you can use some spinal weapons and Titans to bear soon in your vids.
Starting my day with a coffee and more Perun Terra Invicta. This LP is spoiling me.
What a great episode, this is what I was waiting for!
I feel like Max is such an insanely effective killer and operative that even Hanse Castillo is chilled by him.
The Invaders have their own bloodthirsty War Dogs and mass-produced cold-blooded killers in the Salamanders, but Max is all natural. he doesn't have the ability to kill droves of VIPs of other factions or overthrow governments and incite volent rebellion in a weekend's span because he was *made* to do it, Max just has that dark spark of insidious, malevolent cruelty that only grows in very few humans.
the Invaders simply couldn't produce, replicate or maybe even comprehend it.
thank every God alive that he was on our rock, and side.
Oh and remember direct investment! With enough of the cost reduction techs it becomes really viable for example putting up defences. I didn't know I'd need a navy for Indonesia to wardec Australia (sorry 😏) so I just used direct investment. Think it cost me about 40k money, worth it for an instant navy in my mind
Thank you for the advice you gave me a couple of videos ago. I took it and didn't bother with trying to purge the servants from my game but I did keep beating them down with hostile takeovers, project sabotages, turned counselors and constant assassinations. I'm now into year three of my resistance playthrough and finally have the cp cap and levels/orgs to use counselors for more productive things. However courtesy of my efforts the servants have only just finished filling out their counselor roster with level 1 counselors three years into the game 😅
Max is a Full 10/10 on the Carole Baskin Scale of Savagery...
I like to imagine with even with coil guns and plasma canons the Exo-suit space marines still use WW2 vintage M2's.
Hey Perun, I think I missed it, but have you announced your intentions and publized the alien threat?
i think he did ages ago... ep9 if I'd take a guess, don't really know for sure anymore
@@mortuos557 those are not the end game goals announcements
@@Njordin2010 i see, haven't actually finished a game myself xD i tend to f up way earlier, and start over xD
Go go Humanity !!!! Good going Perun , i bet the aliens are scratching there pheromone shooters thinking where did the fleets go??
Thanks for the video. Poor Copernicus Crater. So absolutely terrible bombarding it would improve the bottom line of the faction owning it.
‘He ain’t Jack the Ripper he’s your ordinary crook, calling Maxwell Murder for you…’
It would be nice to see the servant tendrils ripped from the throat of my country, Ireland, EVEN if would mean unification with the UK. The price for the ultimate freedom of humanity is high. Great series.
Inefficient as it is, I admit the idea of building space hollywood in the middle of a war is entertaining.
Oh, Perun, with this quick upload, you are spoiling us.
Have a Ferrero Rocher
This is incredible, at the start of the game the Aliens was so advanced tehy're almost invincible; Now sthey seems a prey ready to the slaughter!
Maybe i don't be surprise, after all the Aliens encounters until now have inferior tech; It's like see Star Trek (You) VS Warhammer 40K (Aliens) it's pratical bullying.... and i love it XD
Gotta love that t-t-triple kill.
As Tom Lehrer put it: "If in doubt / send the marines".
Well if you think about it, as long as it does cruising missions it's still a cruiser...
Yay finally the real deal, a episode which is beginning in the war, station get Space Marined :)
Waking up to another perun video is a nice surprise.
Perun perpetuating the Adelaide Brisbane line yet again in the defense of Australia....
Imagine being the Protectorate crew who only survived because the place you work is utter shit. Talk about a stroke of luck for those guys lmao.
the benelux may still have some states over in the carribean. the islands of aurba. bonaire and curacao. alongside the islands of saba and (half of) sint maarten are all technically part of the kingdom of the netherlands.
32:46 "Gravitationally Inconvenient"
I'll use this as my future excuse against having to go out of my way to walk or drive somewhere I don't want to :x
Time for the Scouring!
Love the series! Been following with my own humanity 1st play through but I went for a Euro/Russia build and headed straight for the asteroids!
Keep me coming - purge them xenos!
Max & the Marines rage against the Servant machine 😄
17:00 as a Floridian we **will** fire that at hurricanes
Imagine the base was so bad that bombard will cause more harm than good.
You should started colonzied space early to get more resource.
honestly some of those Luna bases were costing them more in upkeep than they were producing
Please combine the Pacific states with Australia to satisfy our map painting needs 😂
Is this going to deunify though once Australia goes into the reformed commonwealth?
@@jamesbushell7280 not if its unified diplomatically
All the map painting is making me wonder if you can unite the whole world into one giant superstate
It changes it's name back to "Indonesia" once it starts annexing territory).
i wonder if you have enough Delta V you can make hit and run tactics? but that would require a lot of refueling stations
As a Floridian, I request you arm our Alligators with UV lasers.
A 40k mod for this game with factions like the Inquisition, Mechanicus, Genestealers, and some Chaos cults, would be pretty awesome.
Perfect timing. Was just Starting lunch
Really enjoying this series
Ok, humanity first definitely resurrected Jacky Fisher and his battlecruiser obsession after liberating the UK.
Perun just did Order 66 on the servants last episode. Now it's time to remove the xenos filth from the Earth and beyond.
Humanity First moment: Casually almost committing an atrocity against filthy xenos collaborators and stopping only because you have the marines ready kill them in a "regular" way.
Thank you for posting 🙏🏼
I think there's a typo with Space Station Adelaide, it should be Space Station Radelaide :D
I guess we have to protect Queensland too...
The Protectorate base roast starts at 38:58 for anyone like me who decided to drunkenly search for this again.
Perun, you are probably the mvp at this game , make a all africa run next please
i was sure u were about to point to cairns and say "this is where brisbane is"
Hey Perun i was wondering if you can add India to the commonwealth cause merging two of you're current super powers and possibly being able to merge three or four into one with India UK and Eu into the Eurasian Union would free up you control points to where you might even be able to take China From the protectorate or another large nation.
