Cappuccino London. Really love your JBB LNDN. Thank you vey much for giving me lots of ideas! Have actually used your ideas in an OTB rapid and landed me tied for second place recently! So massive thank you to you!
Fourth game is an absolute classic : 'Maybe this is why I gave up chess in the first place.' Alex Banzea, you are an ambassador for something - chess, Romania, humanity, who knows?
Capibara london! been waiting for your jovaba course for so long, but if it's 3000 hours of work and 10 times better than anything you did it's gonna be completely worthed, you caro course is already the best I ever had. Tnx for your love and dedication....keep on the good work Alex.
I know, it's just to make people comment and help the logarithm ...and it did cause we commented 3 times already....plus he has some crush on capibaras lately
Capybara Cappuccino London. Watching mainly for the jokes. And the dirty prep of course! 😂 Started playing JL because of your videos. Looks easy. Thank you! ❤
cappuccino london :P I made Jobava London my main white opening because of your videos and it propelled me over 1700 (I was around 1400-1500 before) rapid rating. love it :D
Cappuccino London! Thanks again for continuing the high elo games, I know it's not easy to talk and play at the same time, but I'm learning a lot about the middlegame plans and how to prepare for the endgame so I want to let you know that I appreciate it
Cappuccino London. I don‘t know how this shows in your youtube statistics but I usually watch these videos in 2 or 3 „sessions“, giving me something to enjoy for 2 days. So even if it may look like people do not watch the entire video we really appreciate the jobava content
Espresso-based coffee drink, capital of the UK. Great work Alex. Loving the added drama at the end of the games as the clock ticks down - like a James Bond film with a bomb set to explode when the timer reaches zero! 💣
Hey homie. I've been playing since June 29th 2024. I use exclusively, in rapid, use your caro, jobava, and kings indian, if they don't cooperate with jobava I transpose to English per your advice. I just broke 1000 rapid today and hang around 800 blitz. I regularly play around 1300-1500 rated accuracy so I think I'll manage 1300 rapid np with time. I watch like all top streamers but I have learned the most by far as far as theory from you and second danya. The way you put your videos together and explain things it's just so easy to learn... really appreciate you and would love to know if and when u ever stream.
cappucino london...love ur videos man pls make a video on key points to improve endgames especially rook endgames.....learned a lot from advanced level stuffs of caro and jobava....keep making more
Capuccino London. No worries Master I have never watched only part of your videos. There is way too much learning in them missing anything would be unthinkable. I watch them to the end. Fabulous content always. Thank you!
This is me not commenting Cappuccino London lmao. Men of culture here we meet again, best line of the vid. Future GM's enjoy the videos! Thanks for the content Banzea!!
How many ELO points will I gain by rockin’ that little curl in the front of my hair..? Just playin. Merry Christmas man - thank you for a year of incredible content. I just picked up the Caro course and I’m loving it. Can’t wait for the JoMama!
This high elo shit is the bomb. Finally seeing how to play the positions I get in my games. Playing JBL and the kann. Also playing the KID. LOVIN this.
13:38 What!! Just craziness. Particularly for a 2200. It reeks of frustration, irritation. Wouldn't be surprised to see they are going through a bit of a downswing at the moment.
Hi Alex, thx for your invaluable content !!! I start the Catalan opening, a huge one but exciting, so do you plan to do some tutos about the Catalan? Greetings from France :D
Hi Alex, thank you for sharing this video…can’t wait for your course… i have two questions 1) i always face Nh5 from black on move 3 threatening my bishop on f4 something we probably never saw in your games (or maybe i missed it) how should we meet that? 2) i bought your caro (moves only and planning to upgrade) but i wanted to ask is facing the alien and von popiel gambits covered…i know you made a very instructive video on the alien gambit but was kind of hoping it’s in the move trainer too
58:05 Cappuccino London for the me of culture. I would love to know more about the follow up sequence of this move in upcoming video (if possible), because even though the result is the black king moving, in the end you need to save the threatened bishop (or not) and will end up with -2 pawns. and for Elo 1000s, it's enough to cause a blunder because of the pressure
Bro!!!! That last game assault on the king is a situation I often find myself in. Spoiler below…. The difference is you don’t blunder and manage a thrilling win with a fraction of a second left on the clock 😂 GG
@ are there other systems that are modern, from players who are still playing at this moment? I’m surprised Magnus doesn’t have a created system that he plays that is named after him! Perhaps one day he will start doing design such things, like after he quits professional chess or something
@AlexBanzea The one that somehow got stuck in the rock shattered when Arthur fought with it. Perhaps it was metal fatigue from all the people trying to get it out of the rock. Arthur got a replacement from The Lady Of the Lake. (Source: Monte Python and the Holy Grail.) Legend has it that Merlin knew a guy who knew a guy who hooked Arthur up with the aquatic armorer.
I'm sure I am blind. But why couldn't you push f5 at 12:16? He can't take or you go Nf5 with the fork. So you get a free pawn with fxg6. What am I missing?
Now watched games 3 and 4. Epic. What I like about the Jobava London is how subtly it can shift from positional to tactical and back. Needs a firm hand on the tiller!
men of culture we meet again. the algorithm keeps on recommending me alex banzea jobova london videos.
Hips don't lie.

Played my first tournament game IRL yesterday against a 1400. Won decisively with the Jobava London. Thanks for your work!

it was too obvious not to! lol
Cappuccino London, I used to ALWAYS play e4. I never thought I would switch to d4 lines, but now my main white opening is the Jobava.
That last game was insane 😂

Cappuccino London, that end game was intense!
Cappuccino London. That second game was wild 😮
Eric Rosen often played c5 in response to starting position of jobava now. Will be interesting to see a rematch between you two.
The checkmate in the last game was crazy 😂😂😂. I would be so sad if that happened to me

That a3 move vs Qb6 is so consistently crushing in my rating range (1100s) - best tip.
Right! I used to play Rb1, but not anymore.

No lie man.. that a3 move vs. Qb6 is so incredibly effective vs against 9/10 players in my rating level (1100s). Best tip right there.
I wish this guy would play different openings maybe I'd watch him more , not a lot are fan of the London & caro kan openings
it's not easy to have world class level understanding in many openings, but planning to diversify in the future ideally!
How high do you wanna be for the video? Alex: yes
high elo!

oh, this line doesn't normally happen at 1000 elo! don't worry about it too much
Do we have any approximate idea of when the jobava course will be ready?
average guy : gimme a minute .
Alex Jobava : gimme a tenth of a second 😅
Why one bishop is “bad”?
Hopefully, I don't get any wooden spoons today.
Shoutout to Alex Banzea for sponsoring this video so Alex Banzea can make excellent content for us
Alex, what do you recommend against the Old Benoni Defense? Everything seems so different than normal Jobava London games.
Soon we may see Banzea london
Bro!!!! That last game assault on the king is a situation I often find myself in.
Spoiler below….
The difference is you don’t blunder and manage a thrilling win with a fraction of a second left on the clock 😂
GG
1:10:30 Would Na7 trapping the rook be a good move here? Or is the attack on the king more important?
Why can't I hit the like button twice or more? 🤣I'd love to see the follow up at 58:10
It’s crazy that jobova is a dude who is pretty young still yet his system is top notch! Seems pretty rare right?
the opening is pretty much 15 years old only...crazy indeed!
@ are there other systems that are modern, from players who are still playing at this moment? I’m surprised Magnus doesn’t have a created system that he plays that is named after him! Perhaps one day he will start doing design such things, like after he quits professional chess or something
The sword in the stone was not Excalibur. Excalibur was the one in the lake.
really? which one is Excalibur then?
@AlexBanzea The one that somehow got stuck in the rock shattered when Arthur fought with it. Perhaps it was metal fatigue from all the people trying to get it out of the rock. Expresso London. When's the chessable course coming out mate?
20:47 the problem is the exposed h5 e8 diagonal, right? Which can be exploited with moves such as Ne5?
@10:48 doesn’t queen f2 unleash an attack on the a7 pawn while also threatening rook e1 pinning the queen? You’re just winning a pawn?
Was gonna ask the EXACT same thing lol
it's possible...I didn't check, but any move should be winning because black is stuck
When is your Jobaba course coming?
Some great games but that last one's ending...omg
Cappuccino London! Haven't watched games 3 and 4 yet (but I will -- this is great). Maybe there will be a capybara break...
Now watched games 3 and 4. Epic. What I like about the Jobava London is how subtly it can shift from positional to tactical and back. Needs a firm hand on the tiller!
Cap-J London, the game of Kings!
