Man u have no idea how your videos improved my chess i started palyed chess like 7 months ago and found your channel two months after i started playing and now i am 1500 bc of your jobava and caro vids and i don'teven play that much,,, keep up the good work work dude!!
Same boat! I learned to play June 26 and 1100 so far but I have barely played the past month mainly just been studying. I bought Alex Chessable courses for caro and London but I have a feeling when I finish them and play more than a few games per day I could be 1500 or so pretty quickly. Good luck to you!
i've never seen a content creator that has such high praise by his viewers. the comments are always full top tier compliments. I love him too. very instructive. and I laugh every single video.
I was literally just wishing there was a new video from you, and logged in and here it is. Thanks Alex, love your content! (and I look forward to the Jobava course)
Hey man, thanks for putting out these great videos I used to play the Catalan but realized it was good but too complicated for my rating and I started playing the jobava London and it really helped me as it has a lot of good easy concepts that allowed me to break 1500 elo, much love
You have the amazing ability to make your high rated opponents tilt so badly that they just help you checkmate them. Consistent applications and understanding of chess principles you teach can accomplish this. The last game with that final queen move was truly a Alexander the Great maneuver.
Great Video can’t wait for the new course! I started watching all of your old Vienna videos and have been playing it a lot recently and I love the Vienna game it is big fun. Thanks for everything you do for us Alex.
very instructive games today. Love these strange variations and themes to look out for. Love your presentation style Alex. Keep the jobava coming (and do another dragooon video please!)
Meister Banzea! Congratuations for the 100k subs! It will only grow more and more! Lots of people are talking about going to your channel to improve. I was willing to ask if you are ever going to do some videos with the Catalan. I would love it, and surely the other 100k subs would as well! Thank you!
You make Jobava feel so simple... I struggle with it around 1300-1400. I was mainly an e4 player around 1500. After experimenting with openings my rating kind of dropped. I guess I see tactics well, but I don't know how to play strategically... I hope I'll be able to recover. :) I always like your videos.
I have been following your Jobava and Caro Kann videos for the longest time. It is SUPER instructive and you really have a knack of being effortless with it!! It would be so good if you can also guide on a solid black repertoire for 1.d4 akin to the slav/reverse london systems in future!
this is very instructive video thank you so much…can’t wait for the JL course …any idea when it’s expected to launch.. also loving the caro kann course on chessable im playing with confidence now thanks
24:30 Glad h5 made the video. I agree historically (passed couple of years at least) it was very rare. But that's no longer the case. Got it like 3x in a row recently. Seen it probably 10x over the past month and a half. So I suspect someone released a video with this as move to subvert the JoLo pawn storm. Flank moves demand center strikes. Easy adjustment.
There are so many situations where in the Pawn Storm variation of the Jobava, the engine suggests King f2 instead of long castle because of black's potential to stack up an attack on the queen side flank. Would you ever go for this idea in a game? Would love to see your take on it.
I enjoyed continuing to expand my Jobava with this - you are still my favorite. But... Are you ok Alex? You seemed less energised in this video. Sending you love. Si dragoste, numai tot bine si sanatate iti doresc. x
Hi Alex, at 8:20 I thought of the move knight to b5 preventing creating a fork threat and also potentially free pawn after castle. was this much worse?
Currently a bit struggling with the line where black repositions the two knights to the queen side after the pawn storm on the king side where they wreak havoc. Any suggestions on countering that?
Hi Alex Been a fan of your channel since 5k subs and watched all your videos. I have to say it’s been difficult watching these 2k plus elo games you’ve been putting out lately as I’m a 1300-1400. I’m not complaining and I still watch these 2k plus Elo games but I would really appreciate lower elo games as I feel most of your fan base are likely far below 2k elo.
Hey recently hit 1900 following your advice. I do seem to notice however I am finding a lot of cheaters in the rapid pool one is getting banned and my rating fixed every 5 days or so. And I'm sure there's more that's the only ones that get caught I see a lot of people with new accounts any advice on this?
love this stuff . but ..your growing in popularity and i have been encountering a lot more people who seem to have trained with one purpose ..how to beat the jobava london haha
When playing Jobava at your level of understanding against 800-1500 elo, it's like Roger Federer playing against someone who literally keeps tripping and falling down then Federer spikes a divebomb right at their ass at full force while their down on the ground! 🎾 😂 Ooo that's gotta sting and it's gonna leave a mark! 😬
@@AlexBanzea Thank you! Just because of lines you are teaching I got from 1400 (where I've been for years) to 1600 in a matter of a week. Its incredible, keep it up!
I am giving up on the jobava Alex really struggling... I have ur caro khan simplified on chessable it's going well.. but as for the jobava.. I hate it..
hello Alex, if you play with Indonesian player, almost of them using Engine and they try to make a game look like normally for example "thinking (delaying time)" 😂
I might be a hater, but in my opinion the Jobava is really just a cheap trick which has completely infested chess. White handicaps his c pawn from moving just so he can play a 1 move threat, seems like a trick to me no?

Ditto. Hitting a wall now at 1700. I guess it's time to study some xD
Keep rising up guys good luck to u ,,, and yeah it appears that we need to study xd
So you are using a chess hack, this will only work on beginners (below 1600).

Watching Alex steamroll 2100s is like watching your older brother beat up your bully
can't be more accurate feels satisfying being 2k rated and getting steamrolled by those 2100's alex healed some of my wounds.
so true.
Welcome back, Alex, can't wait for Jobava Course!

This is what I needed. How to play Jobava when your opponent won't let you play Jobava! Very nice video Alex, thank you 👍
My rating has improved as much as your content. Your teaching is the best I've seen. I can understand this and apply like all of you videos.
Congrats on 100K. You deserve it.

Jobava course about to throw hands
You're a great teacher and entertaining too. I started playing chess a few months ago at 191 elo. Just hit 800 and all i play is Caro and Jobava :D
Now THIS is the kind of video that helps me a lot, when the “enemy” isn’t making unforced errors. 🎉
I like watching 2000 elo games as a 1500. It helps me try to realize what I am doing wrong and take one big thing from each video :) Thank you Alex
Great video. YES! Please do more high elo jobava games!

In summary, to win: simple move, followed by simple move, then simple move, then.. moving on to the following game.
"en passant is forced"

24:34 Aha! Finally you answered my question h5 after f3. I get it a few times in Rapid rated 1000. but not in blitz or bullet
Typical Serbian hospitality xD Made me realise I don't actually blunder, I bring offering to my guests.

A compilation video of the non-Jobava lines would be cool. Or maybe I just need to buy the course 😅

Walks out:....
The speech at the start is so painfull and so true at the same time😅
Alex's jobava / caro experience is just unique
Did you miss the fork at 36:58 or did I miss something? :)
I missed it because no time...but also not sure I would trade the precious knight for either of his rooks!
terimakasih❤
Hi Alex, at 8:20 I thought of the move knight to b5 preventing creating a fork threat and also potentially free pawn after castle. was this much worse?
@alexbanzea, what do you do when they go Bf5, then pin via Bb4, then trade and Qa5? Ideally we’d long castle but it’d be under doubled pawns.
When is the Jobava course coming out Mr Banzai?!
Hello alex when are you releasing the jobava london chessable course?

Did you see the C-Squared Podcast - He's Unstoppabe - You got a shout out at about the 10 minute mark.
for the next speedrun account, you should start at 1600+ elo because anything below that, the players blunder too easily
It's a cheat code ! You're a cheat code ! I was dreaming of reaching 2000 elo now i'm there only because of your content

13:38 Alekhine’s Gun.
In game 1, move 11 when he played queen e7,why you didn't play knight b5?
pointless 1 move threat. All eyes on the strategic objective: the h7-backward pawn

in first game, why pawns on d6 and h7 are backward pawns, but not a pawn on f7?
They are placed on open files…making them vulnerable to the rooks
