I bought your London Course and your Caro-Kann course and I was wondering what to do when White plays d4 or something else completely. I have just started the Caro-Kann course so apologies if you go over it in the course. If you can only use Caro-Kann when white plays e4 what’s should you play for d4?
@@AlexBanzea awesome, thank you for replying so quickly. Been doing some trainable on the London and just started watching your rating climb with Caro-Kann, you are the man. Learning so much from you thank you.
I reached 2000 by only playing the London System and stalled around that same rating range for a while. One day, I accidentally stumbled upon your channel, I immediately watched your video about the Jobava London and, from that day forward, I was hooked and introduced to the opening (before then I new about the opening, but didn't know its main ideas). Now, it's by far my main opening and got me to my peak rating of 2220. The Jobava London is great for Newer players, Beginners, Intermediates and Advanced players alike. Even though I'm a little bit higher rated than the players (opponents) featured in these videos, I still enjoy watching you go through the opening and explaining your mindset behind each and every move you make. I find these videos enjoyable and very instructive. Thanks for everything you do. Keep up the great work, Alex!
I really appreciate the extra effort you put into your videos. For example, 15:12 to 15:32 isn't strictly necessary but it is very helpful! As well as all the comedic asides, of course!
i like the way you play calm and slow not take take take or check check check. Your new beginner content are very good, of course Hikaru or Danya did higher content and more fun but your video is 100% suitable and super easy to understand for low rated player ( below 1500 ). i watching your content when i was rated 1100 - 1300 even for now while i play at 1600 - 1700 i still sometimes watch your video as reminder of basic idea of chess. THIS CHANNEL IS MY RECOMMENDED FOR NEW CHESS PLAYER.
Thanks for the video. I enjoy the analysis after each game. I did pickup the Chessable course including the video and am going to give the London System a try after I get familiar with some of the priority lines and a few computer games. I like your Caro-kann course and use it exclusively now against 1.E4.
28:39 exactly the right advise for me right now. lol - really cool and instructive to see you slowly dissolving the aspirations of the opponent. ...just by making small adjustments and waiting. I always forget that the opponent HAS to move (lol) and that I could simply wait, react and concentrate more on anticipating.
Sometimes it is the almost insignificant things you say that resonate the most. Best chess teacher on RUclips - keep up the good work Alex, we love you.
Great content, I really enjoy your videos, they are very instructives. Are you planning to release a Jobava course on chessable? That would be fantastic!
By using your tips I’ve risen to over 1900 Rapid and over 1500 Blitz. I play the Jobava or regular London and the Caro-Kann, Slav or Alekhine. Thank you!
I haven't tried this yet but when I get some time over Christmas I'll give it a go. I've dabbling in the Pirc and KI, it's quite fun but need to change it up a bit.
Analyst Alex is very amusing, thanks for another instructive fun video. Hikaru may not play this way, but at 1100 I can't follow his fast play or fast talking, so I learn nothing from him anyways. Keep up the great work.
Hey, loving the series. I have a question about game 4 against the Pirc, the move 5. e5 is great if black takes the pawn but everyone I face in the Pirc know to play Nh5 there after which white seems to just be down a pawn. Do you have a line vs that or do you recommend a different move than e5 against higher rated opponents/ in longer time controls? Thanks! ❤
Alex is the King at explaining positions! Hikaru and Gotham talk too fast. Agadmator's screen gets too confusing when he explores variations and sidelines. but Alex...just right for teaching chess and making it understandable! 👑
Thanks for the videos but I think that the sound is a bit too low - just saying - it’s ok on my Iphone but I prefer watching on my laptop. And with the wind outside makes really difficult to hear 😂
This is going to sound pedantic but just meant as friendly tip :) : the word in the title should be 'whoever'. 'Who' makes it sound like it should be a question.
You are an IM. How do you and the others doing these types of progression games? You should beat everyone @ the lower rating. I like the concept, but wonder how you dial back your knowledge in this type of lesson? Thank you.
Yet another great video Alex. I really hope that you have some financial followers not like ever broke me. Your content is always really valuable and entertaining.
@@chrisuk1541his making a Jobava course atm with Baddur Jobava, one of the main guys who brought this opening to light and came up with some great theory
I crushed all the kings Indian players down at the park yesterday with the Jobava system. And then the next games I had as white, they were ready for it and then I hit them with 1.c4 and the Botvinnik System. crushed them.
as always, strange but great content for understanding the Jobava with examples. But being over 2000 and playing a 1200 makes one way games. In real life, we actually learn more from losses than wins...

I got your full London course a couple days ago :), do you plan to put this one on sale again?

"I would much rather lose a game of chess than have someone work me in the mouth..." **rewinds to see if I heard that right** 🤔 Yep... 🤣
Yes. He's obviously talking about someone who does that professionally. Wait...
My theory is that Suit Guy is the real Alex and the other one is just a cheeky character he plays

Been rockin’ the Jobava! Keep on the great work and thanks for the low-key brilliant RUclips chess videos, insights, and razor-sharp wit!
Thanks Alex. Really enjoy your blogs. Instructive and funny at the same time 😊

My only problem is; 1st it's the narrator's voice @ the golf tournament. Then, w/o warning; FORE! A loud modulated voice. Makes Me jump a little.
Very underrated Chess Instructor. His videos are hilarious and informative. I appreciate all your hard work Mr. Banzea!
That first game was especially helpful. Thank you!

Not a direct threat, just showing we control the file

Love both the Suit Guy and Alex Banzea! ❤
in 4:55 you are talking about your option b1-b3. Why would he have to move c3-a5? Why couldn't he just go b5-b4?
Nice explanation of Qh5 in game 1
In game 4...Bb4+ (intending 5...Ba5) is much better than 4...Bd6 and 4...Na6.
Alex feeling pumped, out for blood from 600😂😂
The guy in the suit learned how to play chess in hustlers University 😂😂
Another great video...and with a humorous guest commentator! When is your Jobava London course coming out?
Why at this level do you play e3 instead of Nb5 like in the lower elo videos? 1:45
you only play Nb5 when gaining 'something' out of it for sure...not playing nb5 and pray he doesnt see the fork lol
finally, can you please continue this rating climb i realy want to it 🙏

Hello Alex , iam 1400+ what kind of opening for White should i learn please ?
Alex is the King at explaining positions! Hikaru and Gotham talk too fast. Agadmator's screen gets too confusing when he explores variations and sidelines. but Alex...just right for teaching chess and making it understandable! 👑
I'm curious too. In game one, should you even bother to rescue the rook or just "play knight g5 immediately“?
I guess I should find out by trying it 😅
Enjoyed the "boring" positional game...very instructive!
A beguinner question: (game 1) do you not play 4.Kb5 just based on your opponent rating?
Hhahahaha the suit break out was top! Alex you're great!
Perfect explanations
you just know things are serious when suit Alex turns up and says their bishop is doing a ''big nothing burger''
@AlexBanzea do you have a chessable course specifically on the Jobava London system? I want that.
working on the Jobava course now
Jobava master class RUclips video would be dope fam.
Great content
