Hi Maangchi, it brings back such good memories seeing you make this recipe again, especially in my current vegetarian month. I was recently gifted a bag of chickpeas. I don't know how to cook this, so I searched your videos, but also couldn't find any recipe with it. Could you show us some simple and/or advanced recipes using this ingredient? Thank you very much in advance!
It’s spring here so I picked some flowers and made these - oh my goodness! So simple but so delicious! The texture is just superb! Plus (as always) I shared with my son who was enchanted with eating flowers and he loved them too! Then I told him about how they’re made in spring in Korea and showed him Korea on a map so it turned into some fun home schooling too!
Hi Maangchi, Good Morning I am Priyanka, U know it's 4:30 AM over here in INDIA 🇮🇳 and I am watching ur video and I am ur old subscriber who loves u more and more, and have a lot of respect for Korean🇰🇷 culture and cuisine.. and u know what I can really make so many Korean dishes just bcoz of u THANK YOU, LOVE U ❤
Maangchi I am a indian 14yrs boy and I learned korean cooking from you , and I am stil learning korean , I am great fan of you !!! You are soo good person and an excellent chef !!
In Korea, we used to make hwajeon with azaleas(korean rosebay) and other spring flowers. These are have fragrant scent and honey inside so add taste to jeon. So it's tasty and try it.
Yaaa.. first!!! Thank you maangchi for you wonderful recipes. It has helped me bond with my husband. He never truly got to know his mom. She passed away when he was a boy. So I decided to start cook his childhood favorites. 😋 🥰
This rice cake recipe is giving me courage to finally make rice cake. Oh we have the same spatula thing you used to flip the rice cakes in the pan. We actually use it for scooping rice at home.Thank you Maangchi for the recipe. Bless you!
Amazing. This is the simplest dish I had ever known. In our region we r adding onions, green chilli, coriander, cabbage to this rice flour. Also we use curd to make dough. But yours is simple and full of cabs. I am very impressed on ur way of using this globalised platform. Very thankful to your efforts. Can you lease tell me the flowers which are edible.
Hello dear beautiful and sweet Maangchi! I sometimes cry while watching you cooking because my late husband is very fond of you! Since 2013 our family started watching your cooking and doing it so in our kitchen and awesome taste of your recipe, first, my husband brought kimchi from his korean boss here in Philippines way back 2013, at first we don't like the peppery taste but in so on and in wow we can't eat without kimchi that's is I used to make my own kimchi from your vlog, thank you, and more cooking! From a widow here in Bataan Philippines..
*This is nice, Maangchi!! In the Philippines, we use the same ingredients to make the dough but we boil it instead of fry it. It's called "palitao" meaning "to float" because it floats in the water after a few minutes. Once done, just mix sugar, cinnamon and grated coconut together, then sprinkle it all over the palitao. It makes for a great snack. Eat it with some coffee/tea/hot chocolate and youre good to go!* 😊
It's like you read my mind! As soon as I thought "I wonder if she went to the mountain to do that" you answered my question! I cannot wait to try this. Rice cakes with a little honey are my favorite.
These are beautiful. They also look like something I can eat due to the ingredients and not being too sweet. Just yummy. Thank you for sharing this dessert with us.
You always have a sunny, sweet and bubbly personality which is why I thoroughly enjoy all your videos. Thank you for sharing this rice cake recipe. They look gorgeous and I imagine they taste divine. Thank you for sharing your recipes! 😊🍚🥰
I have so much clover in my garden. This beautiful video came up on the right time. I've decided, this weekend's dessert is going to be Hwajeon. Thank you, Maangchi! 🙏❤
These look absolutely delicious and tempting just like all your other recipes. Love it, flowers added such a lovely touch and once again big like for your video too....as always.
I remember making hwajeon and eating them in elementary school class.😋 At that time, I thought pink hwajeon with azalea on it was pretty, but your new hwajeon is really beautiful. And I've never heard that people went up the mountain and made hwajeons themselves. It's really fun 😂🤣 They're people who enjoy the poongryu 🔥😎🔥
Hey Maangchi! It's interesting to see your take on hwajeon, because another cooking channel, Tasting History with Max Miller, did hwajeon from a really old recipe, along with a little bit of the history around the author of the cookbook. I'm curious to know what you think!
@@alexismoh I didn't say he was more authoritative, I just asked for an opinion. Max gave a historical perspective, while Maangchi did not, so I was curious about her perspective. It's a way to check my information sources against each other. Chill with the snap judgments. P.S. I'm Korean-American, but I don't pretend I know everything there is to know about everything relating to Korea and Korean people.
@@alexismoh Imagine being this pathetic. Max isn't even doing a westernized version of the dish but a historical, there's no need to point out he's a white westerners while maangchi is a Korean. A comparison and honest opinion of a real Korean would be great. The original commenter isn't even suggesting Maangchi should learn from Max. lol. You're a really sad person.
Hello, maangchi. It's amazing and nice to see the video so soon.♡ I used a translator because I'm not good at English yet. I'm going to study English while watching Maangchi's video, but I think it's still very difficult. What should I do? 🤔 I'm always watching your videos. Thank you.
my native language is spanish, i want to improve my english, so i see the maangchi´s videos, I understand perfectly and I learn good recipes, thank you maangchi
Good day, Emily. I love your channel, your food reminds me of my childhood. Just wholesome and grandmother cooked food with lots of love. Many thanks for your easy to follow recipe and being you, Maangchi. With lots of love xxx🥰👏🏻👍🏻🇰🇷

Please do respond....

I'm doing a spring wedding and these would be so nice !
I don't think you can keep them out for very long. They start drying out quite quickly. Something to keep in mind.
@@MsWannabeGamer yeah I would probably need to have them done at a station with someone manning it.
It sounds great!
Agreed- what flowers will you use?
@@WonderLady I think I want to do chamomile , pea flowers, mini dianthus and pansies
