For everyone in the comments concerned about the drones dropping the package. I used to work for fedex, the truck pulls up and the boxes are quite literally thrown onto a belt as fast as humanly possible 😂. I hope there no one with the misconception that their packages are handled with love and tenderness by people in a sorting facility without air conditioning or heat making $13.50/hr. Sure the drivers make good money but it was thrown by 3-5 people before that who are fired if they're slow. We had a lady come in who didn't last 3 days because she was trying to be respectful to the packages, we ain't got time for that

Overreaction. The drone used is an MK30 about 47-71 decibels. Delivery trucks ( UPS, FEDEX Etc) are 70 decibels gabage trucks are around 85 decibels. Edit: 41-71 to 47-71 decibels
Why not also use the other method of drone delivery like the Zipline company produces were the drone has a rope tied to the package and used that rope to drop the package slowly to the customers property. It helps with lessening the sounds since the drone stays on higher flight and keeps the package safe because it uses a tether to control it's drop.

While one drone is not following one particular car, for example, a fleet of drones can track a car. They also collect data of who is home besides the original purchaser because they can analysis patterns, yes since its the same protocol and maybe the hardware too they can monitor your WiFi connections, even your cameras. Selling this information is where the drone operators make their money, right now there is no law that prevents that. HOA now can see what's in your yard, police can find someone who has a warrant on them because of facial reignition capabilities or read expired registration stickers, repo people can locate cars, angry exs, etc.
The bad idea is that they are droping packages when the customer is not there to accept them so any porch pirate will be waiting patiently to go get them. Drone package delivery only works in crime free societies.
