Welcome to "twenty twenty coffee" - our small coffee shop located on the west coast of Denmark.
Join us as we make few orders in our coffee shop. It was a relaxed day in our shop - with many customers sitting in our garden - enjoying some warm-ish weather. Follow along as we serve them some delicious coffees and homemade cakes. :)
We are excited to start our RUclips journey - so let us know if you like it and if you would have any recommendations or ideas for our future videos! We are looking forward to try different formats and share what we do with you all! :))

I'm a part-timer in Korea(actually it's bakery), but my milk steaming skill is bad..It's so difficult😅
The milk machine helps the speed - but it still takes a lot of experience and skill to work efficiently in a coffee shop! Keep practising - it will get better soon! :))

There are many articles about you guys online (always praising you so good job :D), where they mention you are both from the Czech Republic, but in the video you speak English even when no one else is listening. Is it for the video?
haha you've done your research, well done! We mostly speak English as it is the most natural to us by now. For many years, our whole lives have been happening in English - so it is by far the easiest language to speak for us. :))

i didnt realize you guys speak a lot of english in denmark thats cool.
Yes, we do speak a lot of English as some of our staff is international as well as many of our customers are international tourists - hence English makes the most sense! 🤗
I really enjoy these videos! They are very calming but also interesting to watch. I had a question tho: Is there a specific reason why you speak English? Is it because many customers are tourists? Or just because it's generally more inclusive?
Hi, thank you for your kind comment! And yes, we speak mostly English as some members of our team are international - as well as many of our customers are tourists = internationals. And as you mentione, it is just the easiest way to communicate and everybody is included in the conversations. :)
This cafe looks nice, I would definitely visit if I were in Denmark. Are you tempted to drink lots of coffee all day?

What percentage of customers order Black coffee or Espresso, I'm curious? As a coffee lover I don't understand the Latte or any of the other assorted flavors except for a Cappuccino in the morning.
Hi, I don't have the statistics on hand - but we definitely sell a lot of coffees with milk. :)
Many people who love coffee enjoy milk coffees as well - there is no right or wrong. Also, none of our coffees contain any flavours - no syrups or anything. So what are people getting is simply different ratios between espresso vs milk.
In general all milk drinks have some characteristics; and when done well - you might be surprised how nice they can all be. For example our cappuccino has a very balanced profile - while latte is silky smooth and very easy to drink. Naturally different customers have different preferences and it is our job to have a conversation with them and then make a drink that would suit them the most. :))

@@twentytwentycoffee Last time I was IN Denmark WAS 1978 as a crew member in the US Air force, live in Thailand now have for the last 40 years, in Chiang Mai where I live there is a big coffee culture and you will see coffee shops everywhere, because of the hot weather a lot of iced drinks are sold. The Thais love their famous ice tea which is rather sweet. Very few cappuccinos are sold. I wish you and your family well in your coffee endeavors, it was pleasant watching you and your customers.

Yes, we used Gopro to film this one and it is on my chest :D
Anyone know the brand of their weighing scale?
We do! The bigger one (that we use for portafilters) is Acaia Pearl and the small one (we use to measure pitchers and cups) is Acaia Lunar. They are quite expensive but are probably the best coffee scales out there! :))
In Denmark is it common for people to speak english in settings like this? Or because its a tourist area?
Hey! That is because some members of our team are not Danish - including us - the owners. And also, as you mention, many of our customers are tourists. ...and therefore English makes the most sense. :)

i love your videos and i’ve just subscribed. today i had my first day at a coffee shop/cafe learning the basics of making a latte and i’ll be working soon. it’s also so nice to see that you work with your girlfriend that’s such a blessing. i really have a passion for being a barister and want to open my own coffee shop in a couple years and who knows maybe i’ll work with my girl just like you 😅

I love your shop and your POV videos but I have a question. Please forgive my ignorance:
why are you (assuming you're Danish) and the customers speaking in English if you're all in Denmark?
Thank you so much! A no worries - that is a very relevant question! Some of our staff is not Danish and many our customers are tourists therefore internationals - so running the shop in English makes the most sense 🤗

Thank you for your kind comment! We actually started our coffee shop in spring 2020! It was an incredibly tough timing but thanks to our rock-solid business plan we made it through. Luckily Denmark wasn't as affected as some other places in the world - so we managed to open in June of 2020 and get the business running. We will probably make a video about it at some point :))
