Hi. Love your POV's. I got the question. Why don't you do another cleaning pass of water in groups, before you put a new coffee tablet in there. I mean grounded coffee stick to group and burning, and new extraction got some burn taste in there.
Hi there! Thank you for the curious question! Our machine has a feature called auto-purge which flushes the groups automatically after you take out the portafilter. In this video I can see that I forgot to turn this feature on. My bad! ...and well spotted! Nice to have this feedback from you - it tells a lot about your own skills and attention to detail! Well done! :))

Yeah, the first year, that would be great! We’ve opened our coffee shop today…and I’ve never worked as a barista before 😅 So it was a bit like a first date, you know what I mean:))
Your videos are great - I'm in Australia and got my hospitality cert 1 a while back, now looking into landing myself a barista job. It has been a while since i've used a commercial machine and only have a single boiler at home which is a lot slower for steaming. When you steam do you go by temperature or sound? I find i'm usually in too much pain to keep my hand on before the milk has reached correct temp so I go by the change in pitch. Also - do you have any tips on latte art? I understand the basics but can't quite get the "ribbons" in the fern-esque patterns and the cup is usually full before i can get more than 4 bars in a tulip. Can only consistently do a small heart at the moment.
The machine is called Ubermilk. It is a great help but also has some downsides such as complicated cleaning, high costs, etc. We are planning to make a video about it in the future - so stay tuned! :))
Thanks for making this video guys. You guys make video POV Barista that so relaxing ❤. Got your fans here from Indonesia haha😊. Someday when I go to Denmark, i wanna go to your coffee shop and try the avocado toast. Its looks really yummy😮 and cappucino too😂
Hi, thank you for the relevant question! Yes, when it happens that the grinder grinds a bit more than 18grams - we remove it and throw it away. We have done many tests and calculations to see how much waste it ends up being in the end of the day - and we found that it actually is not much - only somewhere around 0,5% which we find completely acceptable. You might see some baristas keep a little cup and mix in & out from it - we find that not ideal as you are mixing old and freshly grounded coffee together. Hope that answers your question! :))
Roughly, how many mL are a cappuccino and a latte if you're doing a double shot for each? Is a double shot per drink pretty standard in Denmark? I'm also curious why everybody speaks English as a default
They are about 200ml and 250ml. It is a bit hard to say if double shots are the standard in Denmark as there are many factors that determine that decision such as espresso recipe, coffee beans, cup sizes, milk type, etc. Hope that answers your question! :)) And yes, we speak mostly English because some from our team are internationals as well as many of our customers are international tourists. Therefore English makes the most sense. :))
Good question! They are different size - meaning that they have different amount of milk and come in different sized cups. The cappuccino has less milk therefore stronger coffee taste while the latte is bigger (with more milk) therefore more mild coffee taste. Hope that makes sense! :))
Hi! Those cups are our own custom design that we designed and created together with our friend who is a porcelain artist. We are glad that you like them! :))
Good question! That is because some from our team are internationals as well as many of our customers are international tourists. Therefore English makes the most sense. And thank you for watching! :))

I enjoy watching your videos, but why do you have to weight the coffee every time? Just wondering because while I was working as a barista we never used to so I am curious!
Thank you for watching and for your curious comment! We use scales to stay consistent and keep the high-quality. It has become a standard in most modern coffee shops. :))
It takes a lot of practise - but it is not that difficult! A good tray helps a lot - as it is actually easier to carry something on a tray - compared to just holding it in your hand... :))
Yes, most definitely! Being a barista is partially about coffee - but also about customer service and team collaboration. So you can excel in many aspects of the job without necessarily drinking coffee on daily bases. However, it will be important to understand what are you selling - so tasting and learning with open mind is absolutely crucial! :) It is also quite possible that you don't enjoy coffee since you haven't tried a really good one yet. There is a huge variety when it comes to quality and flavour profile - and some are more approachable than other. Try to find a small high-end coffee shop focusing on "speciality coffee" and ask the barista what they would recommend for you to taste as a non-coffee drinker. You might be very positively surprised! :)
May I ask anybody here? This coffee shop is located in Denmark, no? Why is everybody speak english with very strong danish accent? :D No hating, just curious :D
