Thanks. Finally X Japan. Brings back old memories. I requested them sometime ago in one of your One Ok Rock's reactions. Your Mom has great taste in music. Thanks to her you finally got to react to them. I went to Japan just to watch X Japan but "hide" was long gone by then. He is my 2nd fav guitarists of all time. Last live was their farewell concert. At the height of their popularity, they disbanded. They have so many songs like Art of Life, We Are X, Rusty Nail, Rose of Pain, Endless Rain, Forever Love.etc etc. Yoshiki, the drummer founded X Japan with his kindergarten classmate Toshi, the vocalist. By the way, Yoshiki is a classical pianist🤗

oh yesss, i also recommended X Japan (i'm not Kai's mom) :D They are the most iconic Japanese group. The drummer - Yoshiki, he also is classic trained pianist and created big part of the songs also his Extasy Records is OG in Japan. He created and performed to Japan's emperor "Anniversary". They have many many epic ballads and long ass song :D One of my favorite "Art of life", it is 20-30 min long and there are rock parts with vocal and crazy just piano parts. Other very long and super crazy song "Orugasmu" it's just instrumental, but really mind blowing 15 min instrument craziness. (i just watched second time Bohemian rhapsody and remember there was complain that song is 6 min long) XD
This concert is most epic, every X Japan fan should see it all. After this concert they break up and back again after 15 years

You should react to some Visual kei artists, I'd recommend to get into it, the Gazette's "Distress and Coma" or Versailles' "God Palace" Both bands are masters of their instruments and are amazing amazing amazing live. I'd recommend them solely, because I reckon you'd love them.

You need to react to X Japan - X (Kyoto Sports Valley 1988.09.04) X Japan is the biggest band in Japan and really Asia. They were a revelation at the time. They are a huge reason why there are alot of female metal bands in Japan (well them and the all female band Show-Ya, who you guys should probably also react to lol). You'll see alot of girls in their audiences. The song X is like their anthem. They have alot of great performances but really all you need to know about this one is that at the end the crowd is just looking around dazed and in shock at what they have just witnessed.

Funny is that he looks to be at LEAST the same age as me if not older, and I discovered X-Japan around 1999 when I was in high school, which was a couple years after this final show before they broke up. Crazy to think it has already been about 10 years since this band got back together and they STILL have not released a new album..

They've been around for a very long time, had to stop for a while.
There is so much history behind this band, they are a great inspiration for Babymetal.
I can't imagine no Babymetal fan has mentioned them yet. I think we had by now...

X Japan has the record for more sold out performances at Tokyo Dome, despite being banned from playing there since 2009 because whenever they would play the song X the band and the audience would jump and it triggered the earthquake alarms or something like that they were told that it was prohibited since the 90’s but they kept encouraging it, so. they got banned

This is 1997, but the song was actually released in 1989. First time I saw X-Japan they were doing this exact song at Kouhaku Utagassen (Red & White Show) New Years Eve, can't remember if it was 92 or 93. I didn't know who they were, but they had HUGE hair and wore tons of makeup, and they played this song and it blew me away. I still have the performance on a VHS tape in a milk crate somewhere along with a bunch of other years (90s). I should dig them all out and digitize them or see if someone else on these interwebs has already done that and saved me the trouble.

Looked at a bunch of comments, but didn't see it fully state Yoshiko's (drummer) neck. Like someone said, it's from excessive drumming, but also the doctor told him not to drum as it could cripple him... But guess what? That was before this video was made. XD But after this he stopped drumming for years, but then in 2007 (probably 2006) X Japan reunited and he went back to play drums. As for Hide (pink haired guitarist) many Japanese rock guitarist were influenced by him and when he passed away apparently the whole country was in morning. His friends put on a birthday party each year celebrating Hide's music. But the whole band (group & individuals) are legends.
