Take care
I really hope to get a more detailed review of the IX1 from you very soon. Thanks for the range test!
In comparison to your video's about the latest xc40, c40, EQA this car seems to be quite efficient in avg consumption. Didn't expect that!
thx a lot.
hello, thanks for the video very helpful! I wonder whats that blinking purple bulbs on the cockpit while you are driving?
Thanks. Those are infrared sensors to monitor the driver. Your eyes can't see them, but the camera does.
Dissapointing about the non-adjustment of range in real time. My Kia does that pretty much in real time. Even more dissapointing is the actual range. My Kia Soul, same battery size, aerodynamics of a house brick, would do better than that.
@@garysmith5025I suspect you are underestimating the impact of driving at 130. At 110 I was surprised to see in Chris' recent tests that this car was more efficient than the new Kona. It was a little warmer I think but not enough to explain a big difference as far as I could see.
Is Kia soul AWD and twin motor? No…
@@techwhizard correct. So this has a too small battery for its motor and drive train. If I was buying something that's going to cost 50% more at least I'd expect more range even if that's via a bigger battery
@@Joe-lb8qn 50% more also gets you a 50% batter car. Battery size is fine. Not everyone or every country drives over 110km/h. Most countries are only 100km/h limit. AWD, twin motor luxury interior, adaptive lights and adaptive cruise that works and keeps car in middle lane unlike Kia or Hyundai. You get what your pay for
Thanks for the test, but the music 🤢😳🤬
Very similar to the XC40, isn't it?
👍👍👍👍👍
Just collected ours today and with a headline like that I’ll give this video a miss! Sorry😊
Changed
Ordered one since my employer in all its wisdom decided we can no longer order Tesla. This range is really disappointing, didn’t know it was THAT bad.. Any idea if the 17’ rings increase range significantly?
Reducing temperature to 19/20° and reducing wheels will help a lot.
wow, that's a disappointing range - especially compared with something like the ME3.2 Enyaq.....
I don’t think its disappointing. At the time of your posting (11/23) Auto Bild tested a few cars for real world range. There was the iX1 like here with 313PS AWD and a Skoda Enyak 2WD with 179PS. Test temperature was 22-25°C.
At 130kmh the BMW scored 334km, Enyak 278km. Even if we consider the battery difference of 4kWh (58kWh Enyak vs 62kWh for the iX1), the BMW shows its very efficient.
Is it better or worse than the Skoda enyaq.
It's smaller but otherwise it's better in every aspect
