- This 2016 F-150 is getting a new Vacuum hub and wheel bearing assembly. The manual says this repair covers years 2014-2018. Older models are generally the same procedures but the torque specs are different.

any videos for rear hub wheel bearings?
Great video, about to change my iwe on my 2017. What made you change the bearings? Play or vibration at high speed? I currently have vibration when doing 110km about 65-70miles, it may be related to my winter tires.
when the iwe is half way engaged the clicking you hear is when the gears are hitting so the gears on the hub become damaged therefore leading to hub replacement.
How did you know for sure it was hub assembly that was issue and not a vacuum leak elsewhere? I have heard that the vaccum line has a tendency to crack and cause issues
Good question. Pull the vacuum line off of the hub and hook up a vacuum gauge. You should see close to engine vacuum at the hub (18"-21"). But as little as 10" of vacuum should be enough to disengage the hub from the integrated wheel end. If you have sufficient vacuum at the hub but the hub is not fully disengaging then suspect a faulty hub. Ford calls these an IWE (integrated wheel end) you may also see them listed as a 4x4 actuator. that is part of the cv axle ive never ran across such a thing yet but a good visual inspection will tell the tale.

Good question. All the parts come pre-greased and ready to install 👍
@@ValleyMobileAutomotive my mentors always said make sure you clean the area before installing the new parts and apply xg-11 grease to the needle bearings inside the hbu assembly because -the manufacturer skimp-s out on such things.
