Hi Bonnie. Thanks for this lovely shawl tutorial. the Latte cake is a perfect choice.! Enjoyed your previous Friday Live (a bit late in the day) . It was so much fun ,and packed with your news about the further design projects you are presenting currently and into 2021.- I also appreciated your closing comments about how His Yoke is Easy and His Burden is Light. You are one Special Lady!
Priscilla Parillo ❤️❤️❤️😊 thank you!

Will be on the list, have tons of varigated yarns. ♥️
Love this, I have some latte cakes in my stash! This is my next project!
Thanks for the video, I have been wanting to make one of these for a while, have several cakes that will work for this.
Very pretty and quick! What's not to love!
Very pretty. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful shawl
Hi Bonnie. When I saw how beautiful your shawl came out with the Caron yarn I bought 2 cakes. Thank you for sharing your pattern. It is fun and easy but beautiful. xx
Bonnie Bunting so glad you like this! My cake was an impulse purchase at Michael’s some weeks back. I may have to get more soon!
Thank you for this tutorial! I have some Latte Cakes that I haven't tried crocheting with yet.
I started this last night using the latte yarn but I had some Roll with it by red heart in the colour Curtain call and it is so soft and the colour is beautiful it is different shades of brown with red, green and gold worked through it and I know it will be a nice light shawl for senior or for summer nights, Thanks for this, a good one to do while watching tv Have a Blessed Day. I'll be making two shawls for sure, with this pattern
Leeora Patterson I would love to see that!
Bonnie, you are awesome with uploading so many beautiful patterns! I can't keep up. LOL. Just finished the Orlaith sweater (I think I need to block that because the shape is a bit weird), and just started working on the Emerald City scarf. Thanks for your videos!
My pleasure Latrice! We need to end this pandemic so I can find other things to do!!
Oh Mrs. Bonnie, you KNOW I ADORE ur granny square projects. This one is perfect for me. My daughter saw it this morning and has already laid claim to the first one I complete. Now the hardest choice....which yarn do u use which color etc. Ya know the real HARD choices!!! Thanks so much lady!!! Still missing ur little Swiss knife, 😁
Bekki Wampler yes I do know the hard choices when it comes to yarn. That’s why I made 3! 😊😊😊❤️
this is beautiful.
thanks for sharing🍁🌸🍃🍂
Beautiful 💘💝💐
That is really pretty but it is hard to see the stitches. Thank you for sharing this pattern, I love it. Simple and fast, I also like to use a bobby pin (for your hair) as a stitch marker, works great and easy to move to another stitch as you need to.
Great idea about using a bobby pin for a stitch marker.
@@BonnieBayCrochet I have been using one for about 25-30 years and I love it. Slides on and off easily with one hand. I usually slide it off and put it over the front of the loop that's on the hook and it goes on the stitch it needs to be on when I do my next stitch. Kind of hard to explain so I hope you could understand what I mean. Love watching your videos!!! Also I have found some bobby pins at Walmart that are small about an inch long that work nice too
@@jaymeberkshire5119 yes, very effective use of a bobby pin!
Hi bonnie i use your patterns on you tube keep up the good work and the videos love ur site but camt afford to join but have subscribed to your channel
Thank you for teaching me so much

Om making a bottom-up granny shawl with latte cakes! Soooo soft!
I have 2 sugarwheels I got on clearance from Hobby Lobby that we’re just waiting for this video!! Thanks we are making it now!! Also your nails are really beautiful!
Karen Allen thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful I can't.explain ,
Omg I've been looking on RUclips to make a shawl using 1 skien and went through a couple and figured hold on let me just hop over to Bonnie's channel. I swear to you I had just pulled out that same exact cake of yarn I was wanting to make it with. As soon as I saw you with the same yarn I'm like Yep! I'm staying here and making her shawl😁
Thank you so much for sharing your designs
Much love💖
Ha ha! I guess great minds think alike! This yarn is so wonderful!
Oh my goodness Yes! It's so soft and beautiful, I LOVE IT!!!!
Good Morning Bonnie 🌷 This pattern looks very simple and the color is perfect 👍 I have never worked with this yarn but it is now on my list. Thank you for sharing and as always take care 💗 Hugs Pat 🍂🎃🍁
My pleasure Pat! This is a fun one, which is why I ended up making 3 in only a couple days.
Lindíssimo trabalho 👏👏👏🧶
It would help if you use a non-fuzzy yarn so we can see the pattern better.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Stumbled across your video last night. Been looking for something to do with latte cakes. Already started and am loving the simplicity of it. Thanks so much. Do you have a blanket pattern too? Would love to do that as well.
How do you suggest adding on another skein?
Yes, I have a baby blanket using this here: ruclips.net/video/aAZKKGEG_M8/видео.html. You can easily make this into a regular blanket by continuing on in pattern stitch (with increases) to desired size before beginning to decrease. As far as adding another skein, be mindful of the Color way of the yarn when adding. I usually just tie a handover knot holding both strands together. Leave at least a 4" strand to make hiding easier later on.
BONNIE
I love this it's so easy,I'm so going to use my stass like you mentioned in the beginning of your video.
What about ombre yarn? I have a violet color from a project this past summer.
Joanie Tritschler definitely give that ombré a try! You could even alternate it with a complimentary solid if you like!😊
BONNIE,
I thought about that also,Great minds think alike,
I also thought of a arin color.
and add a complementary color for a pop of color.
See you on Friday.
How warm is the pattern made into a shawl? Thinking of making it for winter.
That is so Beautiful!!! I think this will be my next project 😊
I wanted to ask you a question...is there anyway you could do a tutorial on making dog sweaters? I've seen a few but there really isn't that many people that do it clearly.....I did just make my very 1st one for my Pug. Thankfully it did turn out nicely lol
I hope you will consider doing this! It's so hard to find ones for medium sized dogs...they're all mostly X-small
Thanks for the suggestion Daniel & Sara. The only thing is that I don't have a dog nearby (allergies rein here with my family) to make one that would be suitable. I will keep the idea in mind though.
Oh no, I'm sorry you guys have allergies. It was just a thought. I just really like your videos and thought you could do some really cute ones. But not a problem. I hope you have a great day!
Much love 💖
Good morning I love your videos but can you please tell me how to make this in a scraf.
You can easily wear this as a triangular scarf. I don't have this in a long scarf version.
Bonnie...I use Susan Bates hooks and I noticed you do too but yours has some padding......what is the name of the hook ??? Thank you in advance 😌
Pat Dancer these are Susan Bates Soft (although these handles are quite firm). These are my favorites yet are very economically priced. I found these at Joanne Fabrics.
Hi Bonnie... is this the shawl you were wearing at the beginning of today's live? If not, could you be kind enough to share the proper link? Thank you in advance.
Yes, this is the one!
@@BonnieBayCrochet yay! I will have to get my hands on some of that yarn!! I noticed it's the same yarn as the one for your recent c2c baby blanket.
I do better if I can get a pattern
Can I get a written pattern?
I list links to written patterns in the video descriptions. I'm happy to repost for you here: www.lovecrafts.com/en-us/p/easy-beginners-granny-square-scarf-or-shawl-crochet-pattern-by-bonnie-barker
I wish the video had been done with regular yarn and not the fuzzy one.
I understand it is a little difficult to see her stitches if ur a beginner
I have worked with this yarn and it's not as hard to crochet with as I thought. I made the softest scarf. I'm a beginner!
@@traceypeale6754 Yes, I'm very happy with the feel of this project too! I was pleasantly surprised.
Sandee, here's a video on the Granny Square technique using smoother yarn if this is helpful for the technique: ruclips.net/video/6D3-IVrZq1U/видео.html
This yarn is confusing for beginners to learn by.
Don't like that thread at all.
Understood Jerri. Feel free to use any yarn of your choice. Just be sure to size your him accordingly. 😊
