I just stopped by on this channel and watched how Barbara paints the Australia beautiful landscapes using pastels ...so amazing. . then I read that she has passed away ..ohh..I am so sorry and sad to hear that .. may God give her the best place by His side. Now I become your channel subscriber. Best regard from Indonesia.
I would love to see all the footage of her doing this piece. I think all of us could learn a lot! Thanks, Barbara! I hope you are still doing marvelous paintings in heaven for everyone out there to appreciate! :)
Just wanted to say thanks to all the people that commented on Barbaras show. unfortunately Barb Passed away last year, but thank goodness we got the chance to capture her artistic life before she left, Graeme
Thanks so much for coming in to our channel and hopefully learning more about Art and the amazing Artists across the globe. If you get the time share our channel with your friends. We upload a new video every week. Thanks again, Graeme
I love to draw with pastels, to be honest i'm a "learner-learning". It's so amazing how Barbara Beasley-Southgate turns the blackness into beautiful luminosity, is like watching the night fading into the day. I love it and i will give it a try. It's a pleasure indeed to watch CIYL and i wont stop expressing my gratitude to the work all of you are doing. Thank you very much :)
Thats a wonderful comment to make. Thanks so much for watching our channel. We will have a new show for you every week. Tell your friends when you get the chance, thanks again, Graeme
I've only watched this channel a couple of times now and I love it. This interviewer is restrained and asks astute questions. He gets a lot out of the artists. Having grown up around a lot of artists, my mother not the least of them, I know how difficult that can be. Really good stuff.
Im in the states and work with pastels, this is the first time Ive seen someone work on a black ground, I had doubts about the black ground in the start of the video but she pulled it together nicely!!

I've noticed such a drastic difference between pastel artists that you feature and the "mainstream" youtube channels. Real great job with the curation! The quality of people in your video is just breathtaking, and Barbara was at the top! I didn't even know that one can achieve this in pastel! Her themes and rendering just vibed with me so much throughout the video. And yeah, just read in the comment that this wonderful artist passed away. She went with a marvelous artistic blast, affecting yet another person years after this interview.
Thanks Zivko. We approach the best possible people we can to bring you guys the shows. Please tell other people what we are doing, its been tough to keep going with the current lock downs, Graeme
Barbara is a wonderful artist. I've never seen her work, but, love what she does with the pastels. I also like how she talks about her technique and her feelings toward doing right or wrong with art. I agree with her thought on that; the world would be quite boring if everyone did everything the same.
Thats a wonderful comment to make. Thanks so much for watching our channel. We will have a new show for you every week. Tell your friends when you get the chance, thanks again, Graeme
+Jon Quinones Hi Jon, just got back from filming again. We are on our way on the 1st of December, have some amazing people on board, how are things on your end, Graeme
I noticed she didn't use a fixative during any stage of her painting. Does she use this after the painting is finished? I would think it'd be necessary to prevent the color from being 'dusted off'.
thank u so much both of u for this awesome interview and a lot of useful informations and its good to have a good education about art even if we dont really work in arts
zenoist2 Hi , yes she is amazing. We will have many more great Artists over time, so I hope you enjoy them all, dont forget to tell other folks about us. This only helps us to keep all of this going for everyone out there, hope all is well, Graeme
