Amazing artist and teacher. Love that Louise explains what she's doing and why, as she does it. Thank you Louise Corke for teaching me so much in a 20 minute video.
So enlightening following the process of Loiuse's 'Mind map" prior to starting the picture. I love how her ideas are so clearly articulated, plus the technical advice.
I love Louise's "sloppy mix" phrase. I have demonstrated how to paint skies and had to explain to people that when they see a mess, it means that their painting is getting there. And not to stop at that point. I also like the credit card tip and the way she has separate palettes of pastels. Thank you for demonstrating.
You can see a little bit of why the series has become successful. I would love to get back to the studio Arthur but this has over taken my life at the moment. Hope all is well, Graeme
Graeme Stevenson what you are doing is very honorable and hard work, The editing alone is grueling enough to say the least. What really surprises me is how I missed these all this time. I have always taken pride in how thorough I am with researching things in regards to helping other artists. However having discovered this through another artist just goes to show how we all can help one another. I surely will be sharing this. Ride free as you have the best of both worlds.....Peace
Thank you for this video. I'm trying my hand at portraits in pastel and when I hit my sloppy mix stage I did get quite nervous, however this video calmed me and I can't wait to jump back in. Thanks again :)
Oh what a beautiful artist!! Such delicate variety of handling pastels. Love your works. Hugs to you. So many marvelous artists way over in Australia. Thank you for sharing. Brandon, Manitoba Canada
karen parker Hi , yes she is amazing. We will have many more great Artists over time, so I hope you enjoy them all, dont forget to tell other folks about us. This only helps us to keep all of this going for everyone out there, hope all is well, Graeme
Not nearly enough painting to be called a lesson. The conversation and the past works being shown in the middle were big distractions and wasted too much time. It is nice to hear her talk about art, but not instead of doing the art. And then, why cut away and show a piece hanging in a gallery just when she starts to work? It's like you're saying, oh no, that's the boring part, people won't be interested in all that painting. When you claim to be showing a "lesson," the painting is what people are here to see!
Spinning -- Is this the first video in the series you've watched? If not, you should know they are not Step 1-2-3 tutorials. Most of us could not hope to achieve the level of painting that the featured artists have reached. I find them inspirational, and greatly enjoy the mix of conversation, techniques, and images of previous work. If you want happy little tree lessons, Bob Ross videos might be more your speed.
This is not one of your best. I throughly enjoy your videos, and i really like Louise's work. But showing the other works while she was talking and working was very distracting for me and took up valuable screen time. All said and done however, I wish i had just a drop of Louise's talent, and your warmth.
Love her art and love the tips she gives on her process. More please!
How wonderful it is to observe Louise through her work process. Much thanks!
Amazing artist and teacher. Love that Louise explains what she's doing and why, as she does it. Thank you Louise Corke for teaching me so much in a 20 minute video.

what a lovely person. I so enjoyed the soul & spirit. Beautiful artist.
Color blocks techniques! And listening to your color . So intuitive . Pastels are drawing pigments

Great video. And what a lovely personality ! Love Louise's outlook on life and how she transposes that in her way of painting. Wonderful.
I love drawing branches and this patching techniques are a way to render the texture of the wood

hi Louise , do you ever blend ? I just love to blend .
Thanks :D this video taught me alot on using soft pastels :)
I don't use my pastels in the same way, I do rub them in, but having just recently finding this website I will gladly look for more lessons.
Tego typu rozrysunek ulatwiam sobie kreskami pionowymi i poziomymi
the music was so loud that it made it hard to hear the instructions. I enjoyed th lesson very much
Hi Louise
ME ENCANTA QUE PENA NO ESTE DOBLADO AL ESPAÑOL
GOOD
I really like it's great if you should be in Spanish too!
Yes that would be great. However I am language challenged!
This is a bit long for a youtube video. They could have edited it down to the essentials.

There's being constructively critical, and then there's just being unnecessarily harsh.

Wonderful work, great artist, but can hardly hear what they are talking about with such pointless backing music
displaying of text is very irritating.
