Great video! I've also tried it all. I wanted to attach a dragonfly or any other external DAC to my nano to get better sound out of it. I'm afraid it's impossible. But now I'm happy I'm not the only guy on the planet trying to get audio from the lightning port. You can use an iPhone and lots of dongles, but for me this nano is still a very good player because of buttons, size and iTunes smart playlists. I use it everyday.

The iPod nano does have a radio function which is nice to have I even have a 5th one and stil works strong even when bought used from Amazon

There was an official male 32 pin to female USB A adapter for cameras, and while that also is incredibly unlikely to do anything I am incredibly interested to find out now.

The main issue is, the OS on the Nano doesn't support any kind of picture importing.

Nano 7 has no WiFi, it could not use Spotify.

The OS doesn't seem to support that. If it did, Apple would have touted it as a feature when the Nano was on sale, and they didn't.

there should be volume controls on the side there... upper left hand side...

They don't affect the volume when used in conjunction with the Lightning to 30-pin adapter.
