I went deep into this on my XB1 game for ULTIMATE IMMERSION: Not Good Not Terrible Geiger replacer Commonwealth Warfare Explosions Commonwealth Warfare Realistic Gun Sounds Immersive Squeaky Doors Project Reality Footsteps Realistic Sound XB1 Adds a ton more depth to the Fallout experience with harder-core explosions and gun sounds, hearing far off gunfights, blasting your ear drums out firing off a 50 cal in a tunnel, different footstep types depending on the ground. Just overall a good time
Some cool mods not mentioned here: Select balisong by Neeher - Cool butterknife that features unique first person animations great for those who love knives or want to pretend to be a spy classic supersledge - adds the classic falllout 3/new vegas style super sledge good fun this one Also not melee but does add to the experience : real throwing weapons adds a ton of craftable throwing weapons including a shoe that take some practise to use but are fun once mastered
I honestly feel like melee almost needs an entire overhaul to be fun after the first run. Most modded weapons make up for this with unique stuff, but a couple weapons of a couple categories just sucks. Like we need a perk for damage type at least, blunt vs edge

One thing ive noticed watching your vids is how much stuff New Vegas added that F4 either dumbed down or didnt add at all.. I love F4 but some of it was so disappointing, it took great strides forward but a few steps back in my opinion..
Speaking of saws the saw launcher exist. The chainsaw the blade fist and that you can cut down damn near anything. But yeah 4 really needed more melee and unarmed weapons.

Mutilated bodies has both a two-handed greatsword as well as something similar to that melee weapon you were talking about call the eviscerator which also launches a huge saw blades. The swords is just a massive freaking broadsword. Then there's melee weapons from an unexpected source, TES-51 Powerarmor comes with two melee weapons, a quote unquote steel sword and a Warhammer. Both of these by comparison to a lot of the melee weapons in the game are very pretty almost reminiscent of Skyrim in appearance.
Do we have a melee overhaul mod somewhere? Things like better blocking and realistic blocking so that a fully naked person cannot block a rocket-powered sledgehammer just by raising up their arm?
I didn’t watch the video so apologies if you covered this, but you need to load the standalone version of “The Raiju” after MCAM so that the weapon doesn’t crash the game when used. That mod is also only available on PC, so Xbox users just need to avoid that weapon being used.
I found your makeshift melee weapon pack mod and I wanted to know what it requires to be enabled. And in my opinion it shouldn't require anything since it just adds weapons.
Lol what are you talking about?? Besides dual wield, shields, and bows, the melee animations are waaaaaaaayyy better and more viscous looking than skyrim's. I actually have to mod the hell out of skyrim's combat animations to even make it bearable to look at. Not to mention, theres actually not a whole lot of different weapon types and variations of those types in Skyrim. It's really quite sad that Bethesda has been this way since oblivion. Personally, though, I think melee combat in fallout 4 (not 76) looks loads better than any open world beth game before it. There is just a massive lack of weapons, and no dual wield. I can live with it, since you have to mod FO4 for it to be a good game anyway.
Use that control panel and it'll inject all the weapons into the leveled lists. Then it's just a matter of chance for enemies spawning with them. I almost invariably find at least one of the raiders in Concord wielding one of them.
theres not really anything unique about the throwing knife other than to my knowledge theres hasnt been a plasma specific throw able yet aside from nades. i dont remember if F3 had many/any throw ables other than nades but FNV base game had all sorts from knives, hatchets, spears and the different story DLCS all added some and the caravan addons i believe added some in form of craftable as well

Anything with custom animations are my absolute favorites.

To be fair it was still better than fallouts. Not a high bar but it was better.
I've always thought that the Fallout 4 melee weapons were just lacking, especially the unarmed and powerfist when compared to New Vegas.
Yeah compared to the gauntlet that turns enemies into bombs, almost everything in 4 falls shorts

There's an underrated one called "hewing spears" its really cool and the animations just work
that 'Blade Fist' is straight out of the modern cult classic, post-apocalyptic film, "Turbo Kid", as it is worn by the main henchman.

How did you get MCAM to work? Once downloaded all it adds is the settings panel near vault 111
