I love the sound of that Laser RCW. A laser tommygun is such a unique concept. I never appreciated it in New Vegas, I shall not make that mistake again.
It's by far the most one of the most popular weapons next to the service rifle mod, and a must have in most peoples load orders all Nero's mods are pretty much staples and fairly old as well now but still top tier.
I really hope they bring back the classic Fallout 1 and 2 energy weapons in Fallout 5. I love their designs WAY more than the FO3/NV/4 ones. Adam Adamowicz was a great concept artist, god rest his soul, but nothing can beat the older energy weapon designs.
The plasma rail uses gauss rifle animations instead of missile launcher animations I Believe. Edit: actually could be a mix of both. The first part (the opening of the cover) looks like it’s from the missile launcher. The second part (putting the ammo in) is from the gauss rifle. If so that’s interesting.
Its great, to see modders are still adding energy weapons! Most Ppl/Players, rather shoot lead. And I guess, deep down I am one of them.. However, energy weapons are a part of the fallout Lore! And for that reason, it's makes perfect sense that they would evolve with time also. So I love seeing, great Mods in this catergory! And there's factions, in the game that could/Would be able to evolve them too. Great, Mod review Dak. Great presentation as always - Jass.
All 3 variations of this weapon for some reason consume 5-15 cells per shot and the author decided to take it from the pool. I know the lobber takes 15 and the beam is 5 I believe while the shotgun is 3. I have been using the mod for awhile and was confused by that decision as well. Probably went up do to switching frames around during editing is my best guess.
@@DegenerateDak It also makes sense. The battery is dumping a bunch of electricity into the capacitor bank. That would run down any battery no matter how energy dense it is.

Here's a few more cool energy weapons I enjoy: YK42B Pulse Rifle - by 3nikhey Plasma Cycler - by Shoeburglar CROSS_RugerMkV - by Niero (it's a ballistic handgun but theres loads of energy mods)
I actually found the Break Action Laser before finding this video, and I have to say, it’s one of my favorite mods. Lore friendly, balanced, and so much fun to use
The BOS legendary version of the Wattz Laser Rifle looks really cool. Plus the extra damage against super mutants is really useful, though it already does a lotta damage with my build.
I really wish you had more guns you could change on the fly. Even vanilla weapons. Field stripping a gun isn't hard even without a special workbench in most cases, and replacing stuff like sights doesn't even require disassembly most of the time. Then you could carry a regular scope for day and a night vision scope for your darker nights users. Even stuff like a select fire on your rifle, so you don't need a separate semi-auto and full-auto small or mid-caliber long gun for average engagements. Even with the brick wall of consoles being consoles, a button combination to switch fire modes could be used.
@@twistedyogert Think of it as an experimental weapon and make it very rare by only giving them to some legendary enemies. (You can choose it from a pop-up menu right after installing and loading your save.) This way it doesn't destroy the aesthetics of the game, but you have something special to find every now and then.
It would make sense if it was plasma because it has mass and follows Newtons Law, which makes recoil reasonable too, but lasers are purely massless photons. They wouldn’t even make sounds or have recoil whatsoever, they’re glorified laser pointers.

Brilliant, the X12 is probably all you would need with all its adaptations, crikey. But i have to say now that it's getting silly now, I mean that with all these fantastic mods were do you draw the line ? there are so many great mods that i just cld'nt use them all, my last playthrough i was touching on almost 300 mods....i mean com'on were do you draw the line before the game breaks, on that note how many mods can you run before the game breaks ? We are all so spoilt for choice, Good one Dan & thank you for taking the time to enlighten us
Technically 255 is the mod limit, however lately modders have been flagging mods as esl’s rather than esp’s. This means they don’t contribute to the plug-in limit. As long as you’re careful you can run as many mods as you want
Sadly some of this weapons are op and doesn't fit game. Ex: energy Lobber consumes 14 cels per shot. It's spawning near 18 lvl with around 200 dmg. It doubes dmg of my other guns.

The Watts Laser gun reminds me of the guns the colonial Marines used in Aliens.

2:57 what is happening to your ammo, you’re shooting one or two bullets and the ammo is going down by like 5-9 then goes up and back down
A workaround to balance the weapon. Does a lot of damage so they compensated by having it use more ammo

My favourite mod weapon is probably the R91 from fallout 3 but it sucks that the main best one is buggy on the nexus.

Lasers don't have mass, and as such shouldn't recoil, and plasma does, so recoil on the plasma gun is reasonable
