    There's a lot to like here. This pistol looks like it lends itself to many upgrades. Keep us posted on other compatibility with Glock parts and any upgrades.

      I plan to add a red dot, I'll definitely see if it can use Glock-compatible parts to replace the sights and enhance the trigger.

    Bought one of these for giggles. It shoots shockingly well. I have used guns that are 3X in price that this one will outshoot.
    I will be modifying the trigger a tad

    So, I just picked one of these up, and I have the trigger pull down to 4.5 pounds.
    I replaced the striker spring with a 4.5 pound spring. For carrying, I wouldn't normally go below 5, but I had this one in my inventory, so I slapped it on. I polished the striker tang, and the release paddle, and I also just honed out the striker channel with a stainless steel bore brush. Lubed everything back up and I'm seeing a 4.5-5 pound trigger pull.
    I've also put in a ported barrel from zaffiri precision. It is a glock 19 gen 5 barrel, NOT A GEN 3. I'm going to need to touch up the cuts in the slide to make it align better, but otherwise I'm very impressed.

    I cant wait to find out how to purchase those aluminum grips for mine. The plastic ones work, but they make me feel like im not shooting a metal framed gun. Also I had the same issue with pmags. Thanks for the review!

    • @RidersRange
      @RidersRange  Год назад +2

      I sent an inquiry to Ermox Defense asking how to purchase the grip panels. If/when I get a response, I'll either do another video on it, or I'll pin the response in the comment section of this video.

    Since it has a metal frame, they should consider offering the option of a metal mag release and metal magazine. I wonder how many more rounds it would hold.

    • @RidersRange
      @RidersRange  Год назад

      I agree, though I'm guessing they don't plan to do any engineering beyond the reverse-engineering of a Glock.

    • @tintin4396
      @tintin4396 Год назад

      The big gravitation for Glock is cheap mags…. Upgrade the mag at the cost of price and reliability kind of defeat the purpose of buying a Glock

    • @Paladin1873
      @Paladin1873 Год назад

      @@tintin4396 The Turks are already making Glockish pistols that use metal mags, that's why I suggested it as an option.

    Most interesting showing of a gun brand, I've never heard of. From what I researched, this gun comes with no warranty of any kind, and it is hard to reassemble. I think I shall stick with my old reliable SCCY.

    • @RidersRange
      @RidersRange  Год назад +1

      It allegedly has a warranty and the Ermox company has been around since 1995, but I'm guessing service would be questionable. (I just tried their website and now "This site can't be reached".) As to take-down, it field strips just like a Glock. I haven't tried going any farther, but considering the pins are going into an aluminum frame, rather than polymer, it may take a little more hammer and punch work than it does on a Glock. But for the price ($319 today only on Classic Firearms), I think it's a very good value. And it is larger than any SCCY. Thanks for watching.

      @@RidersRange Sir. Appreciate your friendly detailed answer....It is always very interesting to learn about a new gun out there, and I suppose there is something for everyone....Yes, I did a couple of google searches, and was just going by what others had posted. A few very good, and a few rather poor..lol Thank you again and take care

    Good that budget options are out there...that really seems to be the Turkish gun niche. I personally would save up the extra $ or ask Santa for a real *Glock* ...but hey, to each their own and more options are a good thing. Cheers!

    Just curious. Did your gun have any problems associated with disassembly? My slide kept getting stuck when I tried to remove it. I couldn’t figure out where it was hanging up until replaced the barrel with an aftermarket one I had laying around. It takes apart just fine with the aftermarket barrel. So I can only conclude that the original barrel lug was causing it to hang up. Once I got the slide on with the original barrel, it functions fine, but I just find this odd, since I can’t detect any difference in the dimensions of each barrel.

    • @RidersRange
      @RidersRange  Год назад

      Getting the slide off the frame wasn't a problem, but getting the original barrel out of the slide took some work.

  • @justinpennington7682
    @justinpennington7682 Год назад

    2 things .
    Why didn't you try to switch the barrels when you had them both apart side by side ?
    Why do you drag your finger along the trigger gaurd while pulling the trigger?

    • @RidersRange
      @RidersRange  Год назад +2

      1) Swapping barrels on camera could result in the video being demonetized (crazy RUclips Community Guidelines). I do plan a follow-up (probably not monetized), but I didn't want any problems with this initial video.
      2) I believe I partially explained that in the video. The farther away from the pivot point, the lighter the trigger pull (simple load-fulcrum-effort equation). But also, the friction of my finger on the trigger guard results in a smoother trigger press with less tendency to suddenly add pressure at the break point.
      I hope that helps. And thank you for watching.

      Jogging my memory back to Glock armorer school many years ago, I recall the NY trigger being somewhere in the 12 pound range to be closer to their old revolvers. This Ermox just had a rough basic Glock trigger.
