Been running 9” ovals with the db killers removed on my zx14r for a year and a half but decided I want to more night time riding and need it a bit quieter so I bought a pair of 18” ovals and removed the db killers. Sounds much better.
Recently purchased a delkevic exhaust for my 2014 fz1. Ran it for a few days with the baffle then decided to try it without the baffle and it doesn’t run right. Has a slight delay on lower rpms when I give it throttle causing the bike to not be smooth when I’m riding slow speeds. Put the baffles back in and problem went away. I think the baffle gives it some back pressure at lower rpms.
no retune was necessary as this bike didnt have any cat or anything due to its age. As for power it may have gained a tiny bit up top but its more about the sound really. I think also it may have lost a few mpg's
Hey man! I just got a Delkevic ds70 9" for my Ninja and see that u have one of the stickers that come with the exhaust on urs. I was wondering if they are made to be put on and if u have had any problems with ur sticker melting or anything?? I would definitely like to put one of the stickers on mine too. Let me know, thxs!
Yes you can put stickers on the carbon fibre exhausts as they don’t get very hot. I’ve had mine on for over a year and over 5000 miles and it’s still like new
Thanks. Yeah it’s a full system I put on it. Was reasonably good value too. I you watch my video on the gsxf restoration part 9 you will see the whole system being fitted and give you a good idea what it’s like. It’s seems a very well made and high quality system to me
I need a new end can for my 98 katana as my mid pipe rotted away and snapped leaving the other half in the header pipes so I got that out and I was looking at getting this
This is a really nice exhaust system which is very good quality and value and has a really nice noise. I have heard these bikes with a few other brands of exhaust on them and in my opinion this one sounds the best
@@DarrenMcKinney1 yeah gonna get it next month when I’m paid bet the metal is better quality so shouldn’t rot away like the other one did it broke right at where the sleeve is that goes into the other section of pipe had a fun job getting it out
Hi Chris, to be honest I dont think it makes much of a difference to performance really but I would say having it out just gives it ever so slightly more power.
That particular one is 350mm long and I think it looks just the right size for the bike in my opinion. I looked at the 250mm and 450mm and just didn’t look right. Delkevic has a very good site which lets you see them in the bike if it’s any help to you?
I got the 8" Delkevic for my '03 Fz1 and took the baffle out immediately. The result is a loud awesome savage sound.
Yeah I agree. I always run with the baffles out now. It’s still not too loud either even on long runs
I got same for my k2 gixxer 1000. Gonna throw it on tomorrow, I presume the DB killer was only there for show cos it's going straight in the bin 😂😂😂😂.
Bom dia onde posso comprar a peca da ligacao que faz a ligação pra moto nao abanar de frentes das bainhas da suspensão pra minha gsx750
@@x503vmw46 Boas,

Sounds good with or without the baffle!
Thanks Donny!
Nice one mate, just got a Delkevic and this was the first video I found. Very easy job (I'm not much of a mechanic) and totally worth it. Cheers
Yeah it’s hard to beat the sound of a motorbike enjoy. Glad you liked the video

Tink ya may be able to fix that by leaving the baffle out but making a plate to reduce the inside diameter some to give you enough back pressure
beautiful scream and engine responds very well
Thanks FerroH1338
Lovely sound , !
I am a fan of quieter. 5am going to work dont want to wake up the negherhood
Thanks for posting
Great sound, Nice video👍
Thanks Sigurd
Baffle out ❤
Definitely can tell the difference
Looks great, did you have to re map.. or tune your ECU after? Or was it not necessary? Also did you gain or lose any Torque or HP? thanks

Sounds good either way! Thinking of getting it for a yzfr
Thanks Joe
I just got the 9” delkevic for my lil r6. Just because I’m riding with my dad a lot lately and I can’t here my bike over his Harley Davidson.
Ha ha, I know how you feel. A friend of mine has a Kawasaki Vulcan with a very loud exhaust and it can get annoying after a while if your behind him
Nice man, is it a slip on or a full exhaust system, i got my katana 2 weeks ago looking tog et a new exhaust

That sounds awesome!Could you tell me where you sourced the clear front and rear indicators?I would love them for my GSXF too.....
Thanks Paul. Yeah the clear indicators are a good upgrade. I got mine from weemoto.com
