    I have a pp2206 and there is no bolt to unscrew to remove baffle

    I didn’t realise the van requires removal for the baffle removals. I fit and remove for different rides. Is it possible at all to grab the baffle from the end of the oval titanium can I have do you think please? I really didn’t want to have to keep taking the can off and on. The build quality is lovely fyi

      Hi almost all of our customers choose to either have the baffle in, or have it out and then keep it that way. We don't design it to be constantly removed and refitted and that's why on this exhaust, it's at the front. For things like spark arrestors etc. obviously they do go in at the back end so they can be taken on and off again easily.

    Have a DL 10 can on a ZRX 1200. Installed the baffle. Will it stay in place with one set screw? Seems the end of baffle rests in inside of can.

      Hi, the single screw is enough to secure the baffle insert :)

    The question is, what if any is the effect on my motor if I remove the baffles from my Delkevic mufflers. want to make sure that I won't harm the bike's motor.

    • @DelkevicExhausts

      When we test the exhausts, we test them WITHOUT the baffles installed. Running your bike with the baffles installed is closer to running it with the OE exhaust, running without the baffles will allow an increase in the flow of exhaust gases from the engine, therefore helping to scavenge the cylinders better and allowing more fresh fuel air mixture to burn effeciently leading to an increase in power, in theory- obviously the amount depends on the bike and the exhaust.

    why the baffle is reversed on the titanium model. it is open on entry and closed on exit. is it more restrictive in this position? what is the reason, thanks?

    • @DelkevicExhausts
      @DelkevicExhausts  Год назад

      It was a combination of a few reasons, the way it fitted, ease of installing or removing it.... doing it the way we did just seemed to be the easiest way to do it and also we did find having the restriction at the front caused a hotspot to build up at the front of the muffler/silencer but this didn't happen when the restriction was at the rear of the baffle.

    Is there a video on using the Delkevic re-packing kit?

    Are Delkevic slip-ons universal? Is the PP2206 designed for a specific type of bike?

    • @DelkevicExhausts
      @DelkevicExhausts  Год назад

      Hi, yes these silencers/mufflers are universal/generic, it is the link pipes and/or downpipes which are specific to particular bikes. However, they do have differing effects and some bikes prefer longer exhausts, some work better with slightly shorter ones as yuo can determine from the dyno videos on our channel.

    will taking out the baffle on a stainless steel megafone delkevic exhaust on a kz1000 require any carb or other settings to be adjusted? or will it run just as good with or without the baffles?

    • @DelkevicExhausts
      @DelkevicExhausts  2 года назад +1

      HI, it will significantly change the gas-flow characteristics of the exhaust, and therefore it will affect how the engine runs and necessary carb setting. In the classic baffle removal video it is recommended that the Megaphone exhaust baffle is NOT removed.

    I’d like to quiet my DelKevic bullnose 16” on my 2020 Vulcan S. Any way to get a quieter baffle? They won’t respond to emails.

    • @DelkevicExhausts
      @DelkevicExhausts  2 года назад +2

      That is quite a loud exhaust to start with, it is relatively small with less packing material in it than a normal exhaust. If you need a quieter exhaust, we offer several different styles but they are physically larger. Please check the specs of the different exhaust on our website, the noise reduction figures are published on there.

    1 No loctite (purple..blue) is recommended for the set screw?

    • @DelkevicExhausts
      @DelkevicExhausts  Год назад

      You can if you want to but it gets very hot, possibly hotter than normal loctite could endure. Using the screw dry will cause the metal to 'grip' a little and we haven't had a problem with them coming loose. You have to consider whether people will want to remove it again and how liekly they are to strip the hex round if it is too tight. You could use a dab of the gasket sealer supplied with the exhaust but again, it might be too much.

    How do you remove the baffle on the 13" tri oval mufflers

    • @DelkevicExhausts

      There is an access hole underneath the rear exit.

    Honestly, I wouldn't remove the baffle. Delkevic exhausts are loud enough as-is.

    do you make different baffles? for different noise limitations. thanks
